Hey, everyone, it's Ray Stantz here! You know, the guy who was freezing on Route 29 on Christmas Eve?

Don't worry, I'm more than safe now. :-)

Anyway, I do research on the supernatural (I specialize in ghosts and the hunting and containment of them, for those curious!) and I've been reading up on myths and legends in this dimension. It's pretty interesting stuff, but I would like to hear some first hand accounts of the strange and unusual sightings in this dimension! Whether it's encounters with Legendary Pokémon, normal Pokémon, or just strange occurrences you've noted in this dimension, I want to hear about it! I think it would help get me a better understanding of this dimension. And even if it doesn't, it would be fun to hear about!

Or heck, if you have any fun stories of strange encounters back in your home dimension I would love to hear that too; I'm not picky!

That's better than some people I've talked to, honestly. That line ranges from ones like mine and yours to the ones they talk about in the 'Dex.

You seem to have a lot of experience with ghosts. We don't have them where I'm from. I've found they're generally quite friendly here, if not a little mischievous.

I got one that happened... geez, almost nine years ago?

So, anyway, it was around Halloween. The entire world turned pixelated. This weird, backwards music started playing everywhere. People started acting like lifeless A.I. with scripted dialogue. Even the Pokemon just followed basic commands.

But to top it all off, these weird, blocky abominations called Missingno. began popping up all over the place.

This....is better.

I'm honestly not sure where to start. What manner of technology dominates your world?

i dunno abt that. my friend did lose her soul that one time but it apparently didn't go very far. maybe you are on the right track tho

two of them showed up last year and got in an argument

we had to go and evac all the other Pokemon who lived on the mountain

Oh, so Minior really do come space then?

Gee, I hope I get to see it myself in that case! I've been wanting to catch a Minior for myself that a full on shower of them would be even more beneficial to research!

[Well... research and to shove the Minior in Egon's dumb "aliens done exist" face]

That's adorable! Can I see a picture of them?

Huh! I wonder if I should try to teach my Pokemon to write in that case! It would make communication a little easier.

... Of course none of my Pokemon have usable hands so I might have to wait for them to change forms before I can seriously consider that.

[... He's talking about Pokemon evolution.]

Oh yeah, I've heard about the proms! I'm glad they're only called proms in name only, however, I've never been able to get a date for proms back when I was in school :-(

And I've heard about the jellyfish! The DNA splicing is new information though. So did you guys start turning into human/Pokemon hybrids or was something else going on there?

... huh.

[Ray idly wonders if he'll ever run into this Vigo in his home dimension. Maybe he'll ask him if he had any further plans beyond "possess a baby, then rule the world"]

Gee, he must have not been great at what he was doing if it took you two seconds to free me from possession- oh.

[Ray felt himself go red in the face at the mention of "positive physical contact, and is pretty sure Egon could tell he's blushing right now.]

So by "physical contact" do you mean...

[Ray trails off, not even sure how to finish that.

This is Egon, "positive physical contact" could mean so many different things and he's not sure which one to land on for the question.]

Come on, Pete, I didn't even realize that it was Christmas Eve until a few hours in! :-(

I need to give you guys belated Christmas presents.

[Egon blinks. A genuinely puzzled expression (?) appears on his face.]

Do you mind elaborating on what you're asking?

[He's legitimately unsure of what Ray means by that.]

[Yup yeah Ray's entire face is red at this point. He keeps trying to say something but his voice is caught in his throat in shock. After a few moments he buries his face in his hands.

Yeah just give him a few moments.]

You know. Was I holding your hands? Hugging you? ... More than that?

[PLEASE DON'T ASK HIM TO ELABORATE FURTHER.]

[Egon grows completely perplexed and concerned until Ray finally spits something out. He tilts his head to the side. Was that it?]

Yes. You were kissing and hugging everyone within reach, as well as fondly and loudly expressing your love for everyone involved. [A pause.] If I remember correctly, we had a difficult time getting you to the Ecto-1 without incident.

[That's all there was!]

Various things! But for the actual capture of ghosts we rely on our Proton Packs and Ghost Traps.

Basically Proton Packs are miniature particle accelerator. Simply put, ghosts are made out of negative energy, so Proton Packs strip particles of the electrons, shooting the ghosts with a stream of pure positive energy and ensnaring them.

A Ghost Trap is basically just a container that can hold a ghost so there's not much to explain there!

Gee, kid, what happened that so many monsters try to kill you? It's my job to capture ghosts so I have to deal with things trying to kill me almost daily, but you seem like a pretty normal kid...Oh, mind telling me about the giant robot? I've never really had to deal with those things so I'm curious what it's like to fight them!

Oh yeah it's a lot more easy to work with! I gotta say, it's really exciting to be able to work with ghosts that don't want to kill you!
Back in my home dimension I just had Slimer, and I love him, but having even more ghosts who like you is amazing!

That's spirits for you!

Some ghosts do love games! Not all of them, but some of them do gravitate towards those sorts of activities.

It's a shame I can't see those ghosts for myself. :-( They seem nice enough! If not kind of jerks, but honestly for ghosts "kind of jerks" is really good for them.

Oh really? I've heard that badges give you perks here but I didn't know "keep you in this dimension" was one of them!

... And now that you mention it, I would like to see that too! The closest thing I've seen is a ghost that once possessed the Ecto 1... that's our work car, by the way.

Honestly I really hope he does change as he gets stronger. Maybe not to the level listed in the Pokedex, but it worries me how differently he acts from normal Gastlys. I can't help but wonder if something really bad happened to him before he ran into me.

I've been working on getting him comfortable when he's outside his containment unit, but it's slow going so far.

Oh that's adorable! Jackie here also really likes my partner's Phantump! I wonder if they naturally bond with each other?

And I should hope I have a lot of experience with them! I would be a sorry excuse for a Ghostbuster if I wasn't.

That's so neat though! It really brings to question the true nature of this dimension! It's a shame it happened so long ago, though. :-( And there's no evidence of this reoccurring after that time?

Ah right, forgot about that :-\ Maybe our souls can't be taken away from our body through natural means?

Whoa they set an entire mountain on fire?! Did they catch the local flora on fire or did they somehow manage to set the mountain itself on fire?

Okay, I guess that could make people a little suspicious of them, but you're right! There could be a multitude of reasons why they acted the way they did, and it feels rude to judge without the whole story, especially if there's no repeated occurrences.

Oh neat! I don't think I've heard much about Lugia yet!

[Ray lets out a huge sigh of relief hearing that, so freaking thankful it wasn't as bad as he fears.]

Ha, I can barely contain myself normally with hugging and kissing you guys, I guess the mood slime only worsened that urge.
