Hey, everyone, it's Ray Stantz here! You know, the guy who was freezing on Route 29 on Christmas Eve?

Don't worry, I'm more than safe now. :-)

Anyway, I do research on the supernatural (I specialize in ghosts and the hunting and containment of them, for those curious!) and I've been reading up on myths and legends in this dimension. It's pretty interesting stuff, but I would like to hear some first hand accounts of the strange and unusual sightings in this dimension! Whether it's encounters with Legendary Pokémon, normal Pokémon, or just strange occurrences you've noted in this dimension, I want to hear about it! I think it would help get me a better understanding of this dimension. And even if it doesn't, it would be fun to hear about!

Or heck, if you have any fun stories of strange encounters back in your home dimension I would love to hear that too; I'm not picky!

I'm sorry that it was nightmare inducing! Dealing with the supernatural is never easy if you're unprepared for it.

And it's not common, but it happens every now and again in my line of work. For example. buried underneath New York there is a door that was only supposed to open on "Doomsday", and would fill the world with deadly ghosts until all life on Earth was lost. I guess some people working the subway opened the door too early and set them loose, so my buddies and I had to go in to close it again. Nearly got trapped in there in the process, too! :-(

Oh! We also once found this little pocket dimension on a baseball stadium where once every 500 years, the spirits of good and evil fight out over a soul.

We saw my friend Winston play baseball to save my other friend Peter's soul!

Huh, I definitely haven't heard of anything like that before, at least first hand. It definitely sounds like some ghost shenanigans are going on with you, however.

I don't have any equipment on me right now, but I could build some and perform some tests on you if we ever meet in person to see if there are any residuals on you to try to get to the bottom of it!

Wait really, do they just pick a soul at random to fight over? Or did they have your friends soul picked out in advance?

Yeah, there's something. I'm not sure if it would show up here though. Apparently everyone who isn't human, and honestly not sure where I fall on that scale back home anyway, is turned human here.

I'd be up for trying it though. My current goal if you can call it that, is to stay here forever. But if I do get sent home, well I'd just forget everything about being in a time loop until about halfway through the night, but it's super annoying when I do start to remember.

You know, I'm not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure it's random! An amazing coincidence, but Winston was the only one there when it started happening and I know he would have stopped them from fighting over Venkman's soul at all costs if it wasn't completely random.

And hey, there's no harm in trying! Even if you were a ghost back in your own world and a human here, there is usually some leftover energy somewhere.

At least I'm pretty sure there would be. I've never had experience with a ghost completely turning into a human.

Weird. Why did they want one soul? Would it do something for them or was it just like a game? Winner keeps the soul, adds it to the trophy cabinet, or something like that.

I can honestly say I have no idea what I was. I barely remember the past x number of times I've been though the loop. I know I didn't die, to get to the dimension and the ghosts did. But then again they loop through the entire universes lifespan apparently and I just get the one night,...I think. Kind of hard to tell when time loops restart when they restart your memory as well.

You should talk to some of the people here. I don't know if there are any former, for sure ghosts, but one of my friends used to be a giant robot. So it's possible.

They said that "even gaining complete control over one soul is a powerful thing"

So I guess it is like a trophy situation, except evil tortures their trophy too.

God I'm sorry to hear that :-( As someone who deals with supernatural activity daily I imagine it would be a hard situation to get myself out of, I can only imagine how painful it would be for someone with minimal experience with it.

Oh yeah, I met that guy once! Hmm, it's a shame that he wouldn't have any psychokinetic energy as a robot. If I knew any who for certain would have it in their normal bodies, it would provide a good test to see if bodies here would keep some residual energy on them.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me. I mean I guess you have to have evil do something else. Otherwise the "good" side is just as bad.

Eh, well it was a choice I made. ....make. I guess the first time was the only one that really mattered. Either way it's done. I mean I'd rather stay here of course but. Well it's not something I can or would undo given the circumstances I had there. My friends are safe, that's the important part.

You did? He's pretty cool. Do you guys have robots in your world? We only had them in video games and stuff. But yours sounds more interesting.

That's exactly what they said too! Also evil could cheat but if good does they automatically lose :-\ We accidentally almost lost Pete's soul that way by trying to change the game in our favor.

I'm glad your friends are safe, but still I can only imagine the weight it must put on you!

We have some robots in my world, but none even a quarter as advanced as he was! Especially not in terms of artificial intelligence.

That's weirdly arbitrary but I guess they like to have their roles.

It's only a really big thing at the end when I remember, or remember the most. Honestly the ghosts are kind of jerks but well I named my starter here after them, so I don't hate them completely. It's....complicated. We're all kinda of trapped, I think at this point they're just trying to get me to realize that. But hey time loop. And they have their roles to play as well.

They actually play stupid games too. It's more to kill time in theory but I wonder if that's a ghost thing.

XD thanks. It's a pretty great place. I think I might try to get some of the badges. A friend suggested that it might help keep me here. Not sure how that works but it's worth a shot.

Aw, too bad. I wonder what a ghost possessing a robot would be like.

Some ghosts do love games! Not all of them, but some of them do gravitate towards those sorts of activities.

It's a shame I can't see those ghosts for myself. :-( They seem nice enough! If not kind of jerks, but honestly for ghosts "kind of jerks" is really good for them.

Oh really? I've heard that badges give you perks here but I didn't know "keep you in this dimension" was one of them!

... And now that you mention it, I would like to see that too! The closest thing I've seen is a ghost that once possessed the Ecto 1... that's our work car, by the way.

Well sometimes we get weird weekends that are hard to remember afterwards but I've run into them on one of those. I'll give you a call if that happens again.

Actually if you're interested I can tell you more about them some other time. I know a bit about their history and how they got trapped there thanks so some letters I find on the island. It's pretty strange.

Ghosts can possess cars? ....That sounds like a bad movie.

Some can! In that doomsday door I mentioned a bunch of ghosts possessed all the subways in New York too.

And I don't know, I would love to see a movie about a bunch of ghosts possessing cars!

Huh, I'm kinda glad the ones at home can't possess vehicles...that I know of.

How do you figure Herbie is haunted? Actually all I know was that there movies with a car named Herbie..
