121st moon [video]
[The feed opens with a Clefable, seen from the right. She pays no attention to the Pokégear; her eyes are fixed on the easel before her, on the brush delicately spreading its colors upon the canvas, with the occasional glance at the source of her inspiration. Said muse is offscreen at first, but Cecil quickly moves the camera to reveal it.
At the center of the tableau, a Gardevoir stands, triumphant, facing the painter. Her left arm bears an Aegislash, lowered and covered in red stains. Her right lifts a Zoroark's head, dripping red and lifeless, perfect except for the tell-tale expression of a giggling Ditto. Behind her stands a Rapidash, proud and dignified even with wobbly papier-mâché wings attached to her back. Finally, at her feet, the headless body of a Zoroark. Either the body's positioning was carefully arranged to hide its head, or that Illusion ability is coming in handy. Those traces of red all over the fur, however, are undoubtedly very real.
That's ketchup, not blood. Probably.
The whole composition has an elegantly classical feel to it, really, but Cecil sadly does not have the necessary art background to appreciate it properly.]
...Should I now worry about the madness that sometimes afflicts artists, or is it already too late?
[He sounds very tired and done with this.]

[I mean. What do you SAY to all of this?!]
[He wishes he knew.]
[Concerning? Jarring? Bizarre?]
...Unexpected.

To think she once preferred to paint her former sweetheart frolicking in the woods... Thankfully, she's yet to ask anyone to bleed for her art.

[The prince is leaning against a counter in his kitchen in Olivine which allows for Ardyn the Zorua to peer out from behind him looking extremely entertaining.]
I take it this isn't the first time they've done something like this?
[Rosie huffs at that, though she doesn't take her eyes off her future masterpiece.]

[Noctis is torn between being frightened and being amused.
Pokemon are something else.
Behind him, Ardyn snickered, the fox Pokemon's tail flicking about.]
It's...it's really good, if nothing else?

[Art is a very serious business, as far as Rosie is concerned.]

[Does he really want to kill an artist's creative spirit? Not really. But does he want to see said artist totally blast their critics? Absolutely.]

Couldn't they take pictures of themselves in the pose and then draw from the picture? Seems like it'd save time. And stop repeated condiment clean-ups.

[Can sentient ghost swords giggle? Yes, yes they can, and it's creepy.]
Rosie was once willing to paint portraits from memory; I've no idea why she insists on a live model now... But I suspect they intend to let my Altaria clean it up in their place. She abhors stains and messes.

[God, the fuckin' giggling sword. What the hell. He knows there will never be Pokeguns, but if there were? He'd not be able to stand it having the chuckles.]
Her memory is that good? Damn. Would have made for a good sketch artist. How long have you had her?

[ marco just... sounds worried. the furret on his shoulder looks worried, too. ]
At least she's ... being very creative?
video;
[The subject and techniques just happen to be alarming. That's all.]
video;
Maybe it's like getting negative feelings out on canvas. You know, so she doesn't bottle them up or anything?

Right. The camera is on.
Uh. Quick! Better act natural.]
Geez... Maybe she's got some pent up angst she needed to let out.
[He chuckles a bit.]
She do a lot of morbid paintings?
[Rosie just huffs at that. Can't a girl expand her artistic horizons, experiment with new techniques and subjects?]
[He shrugs. Far from the squeamish sort, Riku doesn't find it particularly offensive, at least.]
I'd only start to worry if she starts cackling like mad while painting nightmarish horrors that could make grown men cry.
[It's said with a wry smirk and just a hiiiint of an ominous tone.]
