[Hey, it's Newt again. She's sitting next to some books by an inn bed and if you look off to the side you can see one of those newer pokemon, the blue one, sitting next to an Eevee. The Eevee seems to have a plastic dolls head with them. There is also a Luxray sitting next to them as though keeping them safe from something.]

Hi. I have a question for people who went to school.

What are the really important things you learnt there? I only got to grade two before- ...I came here and there's no schools but I still want to learn stuff. I know reading and math are important. And there's spelling and science things but I don't really know what the other stuff is.

What's important to learn?

You know, stuff you'll actually use out there in the real world. Who cares about boring history lessons when you you could be learning useful stuff like how to pick locks or hotwire cars? Trust me, you'll use something like that way more than boring facts about stuffy old kings from like a million years ago.

But we were learning about things you could use. I learned how to read and add and subtract. And they taught us about things on Earth and how our colony was run.

[She pauses.]

I guess the last part doesn't matter any more but it was important to learn when I was there, I think.

Picking locks sounds useful too though.

[It's okay, she is up for anything that helps her survive.]

Did your school really teach you about kings? I thought they were just in stories.

Well sure, that kind of math is good to know, but everything else? Boring. Trust me, kid, you're not gunna need it.

[Percentages??? Calculating axis and all those letter-numbers? Psh, she doesn't need that junk! Never has!]

I never went to school, but yeah, that's a thing. [Is this kid like that scruffy cop? Super far into the future and all?] They're real; before presidents and prime ministers and all that, kings were pretty big. And they're not like in those old stories, either. Usually they're big jerks who wind up getting hung or beheaded or something 'cause the people hate them.

I'm not really sure what even comes after division and multiplying.

[Math in her mind is really basic. Because again...grade two.]

Oh. Maybe we hadn't gotten that far back in history. But people can just kill leaders if they're terrible?

.....do you think you could still do that if they're people in charge of a company that's evil?
