[Hey, it's Newt again. She's sitting next to some books by an inn bed and if you look off to the side you can see one of those newer pokemon, the blue one, sitting next to an Eevee. The Eevee seems to have a plastic dolls head with them. There is also a Luxray sitting next to them as though keeping them safe from something.]

What are the really important things you learnt there? I only got to grade two before- ...I came here and there's no schools but I still want to learn stuff. I know reading and math are important. And there's spelling and science things but I don't really know what the other stuff is.

I don't believe that they have anything of the sort, no. But if you learn how to manipulate chemicals and electricity in a specific manner, you can learn how to create such a device from scratch.
If you'd like, I could teach you how to make a simple, homemade explosive.

Excellent. When are you available? I can warp to wherever you are, as long as it's in Johto. I also need to pick up a few supplies--I'll attach the list so you can use whatever you have on hand, and I can purchase the rest.
[He attaches a list of 'ingredients' for bombs that I am not going to list because I feel like looking up how to make a bomb might put me on some FBI watchlist or something. A pressure cooker is probably in there, though.]

I haven't been to Blackthorn City yet, but I will let you know as soon as I make my way over there. Then, we can get to work as soon as possible. Does that sound fair to you?

You're taking on the gym? That's quite impressive. What's your strategy, if you are so inclined to share it?
[Isn't this kid like eight??? He's so proud of her for taking initiative and doing things like this.]

Well. I find out what type of gym it is and any information I can find about the types of pokemon there. Then I make sure that I always send in pokemon with a type advantage that are strong enough. If I don't have any, then I'll send in my most powerful pokemon that don't have a weakness.
And if there is one that has a weakness but I need to send them in, I have the others attack the pokemon that would be a threat to them first.
