So, crisis over, thanks to Kazuki who found Magneton for me. Kaz, I owe you big time for this, thanks for finding Magneton and watching him for me until I got there. You're the best.

That being said, I guess I'm going to backtrack since I kinda-sorta left Sasami in Viridian so I'll be heading back there, thank god for Pokecenter ports.

I need to make a shopping trip to the two department stores for a couple of days real quickly before I return, so can someone check in on Sasami for me before I return? Call me crazy, and I know my team is 99% Electric but... This is a challenge that I've been dreading since I got here. But after this, I feel like, since Magneton went out of his way to train, to not disappoint me? I need to not disappoint the kids and prepare THEM with some TMs and extra preparation. I can't be throwing potion after potion on them to push it through the challenge, that's disrespectful to the challenge. So...

The challenge will be issued in, maybe 2 weeks time, so if anyone wants to come out and see it first hand, we'll be in Pewter by then, since I intend to let Sasami go first.

Good thing secondary types exist! And that TMs aren't limited to a Pokémon's types. Otherwise, you plan would go past challenging right into madness, even if pressure motivates you.

Yeah. And most of my kids know Magnet Rise, so I have a counter to some ground attacks, but I can't just rely on floating all the time. I dunno but...

...Something about Brock just makes me want to... meet him face to face, man to man. He reminds me of a guy I knew, at least from what I hear.

Because of his reputation as a trainer? Or because as a reputation as a person? He's young and well-respected, but so are most Gym leaders.

Like she recognizes him as someone she can scream his name across the battlefield and he would reply across in kind sort of deal.

It's pure Shounen Fuel that's fueling her desire right now. It's a highly recognizable trait.]

Yeah like, I've seen his matches once in a while, and he seems like someone I can just talk to later on.

But right now, I want to battle him, in what my friend calls a straight forward match.

I think so yeah. I mean, I want to meet up with him later, discuss tactics and visit in general. He seems like a nice guy, even with his reputation of being a ladies man. I am fully prepared for that to be honest.

I just... think that a bit of healthy competition will get me excited, and him too. Something like say, Surge can't provide with his Power Is Everything mentality.
