Been to the Ruins of Alph before? Are you an old hat at this stuff? Well turn everything you thought you knew UPSIDE DOWN because EVERYTHING. IS DIFFERENT NOW.

… Or at least, that’s what the flyers being passed out under a canopy of cheap Celebi balloons that are bobbing around in the breeze say.

One thing’s for sure, there sure are a lot more tents than normal. By the time most of you casuals get there, the entire picnicking area, usually quite spacious, has been turned into a small tent city. And the excited atmosphere is palpable.

The crackle of the Ruin Rangers’ walkie-talkies mingles with that of the ghost-hunting equipment toted around by excited Hex Maniacs, burbling Unown are drifting here and there to blink curiously at all the new people and Pokemon suddenly on their turf, and chatter from Legend Seekers of all ages (really, of ALL ages-- everyone from Youngsters to Veterans have apparently been swept up in the Seeker-mania!) rings out as stories and speculations are swapped.

There’s lots to do, plenty to explore, and (according to word on the grapevine), more than enough spooky rituals to perform once the night falls.

Will you solve some tile puzzles and fall into an underground chamber? Stick to the main group and make s’mores? Befriend a floating letter (or twenty-four)? Go directly against the advice of the tired-looking Rangers and play One Man Hide-and-Seek in the dark?

Or, most importantly, will you start a small-scale riot in order to keep the loud static boxes away from the tents where you’re trying to sleep?

Luckily he didn't. Just a lot of minor flesh wounds. It...uh, could have been a lot worse.

[He kind of wishes they hadn't found that note with Bill's plan to throw his body off the water tower after he was done with it.]

Yeah, he goes by Bill Cipher but who knows if that's his real name. ....Also he looked like a floating triangle with a top hat and a cane. One eye and no mouth. Also he was just really, really "friendly" at first.

[Actual air quotes used.]

But he got a lot more evil looking by the end. ...it's a long story.

[Now that gets Ray to look even more thoughtful. Even without words, it's clear that he's wondering if he's seen or heard anyone like that.]

I've never heard of a demon like that before! Most of the ones I've experienced are the very "typical" types of demons. You know: goatlike, huge horns, stuff like that.

[He quickly perks up.]

But I would love to hear more about your encounters! It's rare to hear of supernatural beings that I have zero experience with these days.

Yeah, he said he was a dream demon. He couldn't get out of the mindscape for a really long time.

[Which kinda made Dipper underestimate him a bit after the first "fight" they won.]

Really? Sure, I mean we had some of the usual things like ghosts or zombies or sea monsters that turned out to be giant robots. But there was a lot of really weird stuff, even for the paranormal.

Try me! I've experienced a lot of strange things in my job.

[He'll think over some of the stranger things he's seen in Gravity Falls.]

Have you ever seen a gremloblin?

[ghoststanning]

Aww c'mon that's cheating! You can't combine a goblin and a gremlin into a hybrid and ask if I've seen that combination.

[He's teasing, honestly.]

But I have seen a goblin and a gremlin before! Not combined, of course.

Sure I can. Lots of monsters are weird combinations of things.

Which makes it a totally separate form of monster than a goblin or a gremlin.
