[VIDEO] 'What's in a Name?'
[The boy on camera seems about the age most Kanto-Johto trainers would set out at under 'normal' circumstance. The way he has a Dratini coiled around his shoulders, among the others (specifically there is a very particular luxio aggressively grooming the boy's hat- it's a miracle the back hasn't just frayed off)...says otherwise.
Not to mention the Cubs hat. That said. Grimacing aside-] --ut it out, okay? I'm trying to focus on the camer-
...Ah, it's running...
Uhh. ...Hi? I've never done this kind of call before, and...definitely not to a lot of people at once, but it looks like it's the best way to meet others like me here? Or I guess just...others who were brought here?
I guess if I'm going to 'break the ice', I have to ask a simple question right? ...How does everyone pick names for pokemon then? I uh...I never had pets at home! ...I didn't really think I ever would...but suddenly I have loads of them, and they all need names...
[It's maybe a bit obvious that he doesn't know what to say through this.]

[At least that seems to be the impression she's got from a lot of people.]

[Maya definitely isn't the first after all.]
no subject
[It actually is.]
It takes a while to get used to. Especially the wild pokemon attacks. Still not used to animals not attacking to kill.
no subject
I guess if you're going to take anyone it...would make sense to pick people who need a break then?
[...]
I'm more surprised about the people I guess. [Not a lot of animals in jail.]

[Hey world, give her Gaige back and stop taking away Angel.]
Yeah. People not fighting to kill is really weird too.
[Everything on Pandora wants you dead. Including plants that one time.]

Something is starting to bug him though.] ...You know though...I feel like this would have been closer to normal for most people at home, even if it wasn't for me. Just what kind of place did you come from?

[Sorry Maya, but now he's just focused on Other Things.] You mean...Space travel, and all of those things, those became real where you're from?!
[VERY IMPORTANT OTHER THINGS]
no subject
Space travel's pretty common where I'm from. I travelled to Pandora from a planet called Athenas and I've got friends from all sorts of different planets.
no subject
... [wait but murder planet] ...Are...all of them as dangerous though?
no subject
Pandora is probably the most dangerous planet though. That's the reputation it has at least.

And I've never been to any of the Eden's myself so I couldn't tell you for sure if they're are great as people say.

Maybe someone who came from 'Eden' will appear here one day?

[More vault hunters in pokemon world please.]

So, what kind of place are you from?

If there's one thing Emporio is definitely aware of, it's that his experiences are not exactly the kind of thing you broadcast. They're not exactly typical circumstances, not even in the way Pandora circumstances seem not to be. Pandora is a whole planet.
He is....One Person-] I think most of the world was peaceful, [he eventually says.] There was a lot of fighting around me, but I think that was pretty localized. At the very least...most people didn't have to deal with someone who wanted their friends dead I think...
[he's definitely not going to just say he grew up in jail, nope]

From what I've heard the constantly avoiding people trying to kill you isn't a normal thing for most worlds.
Still, as much as there is "technically" fighting here. It's pretty tame. Just between pokemon.
no subject
Oh yeah, I noticed that- they don't fight that hard either. Most of them just run away, or...just stop, I guess. [And just sort of sit there hissing.]

Which is a relief, I guess.
