[In the background there's a distinct screech of a sylveon and the sight of one of the ribbon tentacles on the screen. And the woman finally putting a stop to the match with a hiss of something under her breath as she makes her way over to snatch the 'gear from the pokemon.]

Hercules, Artemis, and Cú Chulainn [plus Black Bart when she needs to train with her Rocket Infiltration Team] are my usual sparring partners, but I was actually training with Akane this time around! [Connie laughs lightly.] Holy smokes, I'm pretty sure she could even keep up with Garnet from back home. She's amazing!

I just started traveling with her a few days ago, and she's great. I'm a pretty decent combatant myself, but I've only managed to land... like, two hits on her total? Maybe less? She fights circles around me in hand-to-hand.

But it's different when Connie says these things. She's not Kuno. She's just another girl that Akane's friends with. A girl that's also a fighter. The kind of girl she thought Ranma was for one shining hour before it turned out he was just a boy with a curse.
