Janey turns her attention to the 'gear provided to her, and she turns it on. ]

He vaguely remembers something about her leaving Concordia anyway.]

Her normal stoic expression does soften a bit - not enough for her to smile, but it's something - but her voice is as even and controlled as ever.]

[-- oh uh sorry Janey Athena actually. Hangs up pretty quickly. And there's sort of nothing for a while. There isn't nothing for long after she leaves the house, though - shortly after she does, Athena comes into view, heading straight for her. At first it just seems like her normal, stoic self, but oh boy...

Her whole posture completely betrays the fact that she's holding something in. The way she seems to force her shoulders to square, the way her boots thud with even more force on the ground, the way her hands clench so tightly. And christ, her hands... they're bandaged up, but a bit shoddily, and there are a couple of red patches across her knuckles...

None of this really eases up when she sees Janey, but her expression does soften a bit more.]

... Hey.

[ She reaches for her hand and... uh oh. Athena's mad, seething mad, and Janey hasn't seen this in... wow. A long while. She gently lifts Athena's hands, giving them a once-over. ]

[ Her expression and tone very distinctly say, What have you been doing? ]

I certainly do! I haven't had time to build up a porfolio, mind you, but the creatures here provide more than adequate inspiration.

[He holds up his breeder's notebook to the camera. He's been using it as a makeshift journal until he can buy himself a proper one. Mainly there are sketches of Elgyem, as that's his starter, but there's a few Pineco and general Route 29 Pokemon scattered in as well. Oh, and some Drifloon. There was a group of those at Mabel and Dipper's party and he found them incredibly charming. The linework is crisp and clear despite the fact that he was apparently sketching in pen.]

I honestly haven't heard of those. Well, I've heard of cars, they just don't really exist anymore where I'm from. Not like there's any land to drive on anymore. I mostly work with computers, but my friend does robotics.
