64th treasure [text]

WANTED: Any info concerning new or interesting Normal-type Pokémon found in this region, preferably in the zones we can access.

OFFERING: My eternal gratitude, extra supplies if you run out and I can reach you, assistance in locating and acquiring Pokémon found in Eterna Forest.

I left a bunch of escape ropes at the forest's entrance, by the way. Can't miss them. Feel free to take one, those paths are surprisingly confusing.

I am sadly not out there with everyone in Sinnoh but do let me know if any intriguing Normal Types do cross your path.
Particularly rabbit-y kinds.
If you don't mind, that is.

I actually don't have too many birds myself.
Hm...maybe I ought to change that.
What kind of birds have you seen so far?
cyan_maid: Jane chatting while mixing (Of course I'm right)

Mayhaps, but still definitely a bird! I would venture to say that counts.

Ah, what a shame.
You know, it occurs to me - and I don't know if it's that I just haven't seen one or they really don't live in any of the regions we're aware of - but I've never seen a Pokemon that was kind of like a jackalope.
Have you?
cyan_maid: (Give me all of the bacon and eggs you ha)

Oh, no, they weren't real creatures! Just a made up one. It's supposed to be a jack rabbit with deer antlers, and I think they were said to live in the desert?
But, again, not actually real.

Hoo hoo hoo! I think the antlers were scaled down for tiny rabbit heads, but then again, they're a made up animal.
At home, at least.
In this world, there are sentient beings that would just be everyday objects back home, as well as those same objects, living side by side! It cannot be too wild to presume that one world's made up animals could emerge as real beings here, in some form or another.

...Gosh, I never would have gone out on that sort of limb had I not been living here so long...
cyan_maid: (Pesterquest - ah yeah no worries)

I wonder if they'd have wings if they could fly, or if they propelled themselves by different means.
Maybe we could go fully absurd and give them fairy wings.

Gracious, then I would have to take in several of them!
Not only am I partial to rabbits, I've really grown to love Fairy types. Don't get me wrong, Normal is still my favorite, but there's something really charming about a fluffy, sparkling creature an eighth of the size of a Dragonite causing it to kneel.
cyan_maid: (Are you absolutely certain?)

I did notice that with some of the Pokemon I was previously familiar with!
Perhaps classification methods have evolved over time?
cyan_maid: (Pesterquest - mind if i take this?)

That's a good point...
Either way, I am grateful for it - like you, I also have no complaints.
From what I remember hearing about Dragon Types when I was younger, they were probably the toughest obstacles to overcome in the game. Perhaps the Fairy typing emerged as a method to balance the playing field?

That and Ice types can be a bit fragile unless you go looking for the very sturdy ones.
That, and Dragons seem to be able to learn Fire type moves in a snap.
cyan_maid: (Polite laughter)

The entire thing is - or I guess was - such a risk! It's no wonder lots of strong trainers end up with at least one dragon on their team.
It just ups the challenge even more.
Still...I suppose I am very relieved to have ended up in this world when things have balanced themselves out to a degree.

[The mun may have given up on beating Gen 4 because dragons were just too gotdang OP]

That's still impressive to me! The Pokemon on that one surely pose their own challenge.

But that IS a good question.
Can a Linoone do such a thing?
