Audio / Action - Cherrygrove
[Audio]
[Boy howdy. This place only gets funner and funner. He has to walk through the woods for four days, babysitting a blue poof the size of his head, feeling awkward with a human companion (however necessary he feels it is), and straining constantly to figure out where that goddamn music is coming from, to no avail.
And the kicker? Even after he gets to a slightly bigger town, there's not a drop to drink in sight. And the locals are just a little bit too happy for him to approach with those questions.
Time to broadcast without that pesky video again.]
Where do they hide the bar in this... "Cherrygrove?"
And what's with the music?
[Action]
[He's mostly just sticking to the edge of town for now, avoiding the locals and feeding his Swablu some of the food he picked up at the mart. That doesn't sell alcohol. Save him.]

[She shakes her head. It's a question she's heard possibly hundreds of times before.]
Nope.
The police have 'em but otherwise your options are pretty much walk, ride a bike, or get a Pokemon big enough to ride and then ride that.
I'll say one thing for this place, it gets you wicked in shape.

Whatever. He can rough it to the good bars, and what he'll do with his life after he drinks himself into a coma is Future Murphy's problem. In the meantime...]
Let me guess -- bikes are far away too?
[He isn't even gonna try with the Pokemon thing. Mac is a fat little marshmallow and probably couldn't hurt a... what are those weird little rats called?]

I know there's a shop in Goldenrod where I live most of the time, buuuuut they might have opened up in other locations?
Sorry I can't help more with that.
Maybe you could mail-order one.
They're kinda 'spensive, though.

This "Goldenrod" -- it's big? [He's heard that name quite a few times, at least. It seems big in his head.]

Gorgeous and right on the ocean. Hah, not to sound like a brochure or anything.

And if he's honest, he's definitely missed an ocean view from the city.]
No, don't worry. It sounds nice. Thanks.
[A pause.]
Can I help you with anything? You've done a lot for me.

[She looks confused for a second-- this may be the first time a total newbie has offered to help her. Once the shock passes, she laughs.]
Oh-- nah, dude! I'm good.
I've been here for ages, I learned all the ropes a long time ago.
Name's Heather, by the way.

Murphy. Nice to meet you. If you change your mind, let me know. [He really doesn't like owing people anything, but she seems nice enough.]
no subject
Heh, well, I'll keep that in mind.
But there's not much I need that wouldn't be way easier for a seasoned veteran like me to take care of than someone who's just getting on their feet.
Don't worry about it.
Nice to meet you, Murphy.
