so i've got a question for those of you who are from a different world than this one. which is everyone who uses this network, from what I've been told, so I guess that's superfluous.
long story short: we lose our powers here. everyone knows that. we lose anything obviously inhuman here. everyone knows that, too.
has that involved losing limbs for anyone else? how do you deal with that? i feel like i need some kind of amputee support group, only since i'm not actually missing any expected human body parts i suspect they'd kick me out.

you've come a long way since, though, based on what i saw of your internship with endeavor.
[If nothing else, Hawks is certainly as direct as Bakugou in some ways. And also just as blunt. Bakugou may appreciate this, or absolutely hate it.]

It's still a work in progress.
[ As in... Bakugou himself is still a work in progress. He doesn't take complements well. ]

is your hero name really lord explosion murder?
[Ochako didn't tell him who that hero name actually belonged to, but let's say Hawks is making an educated guess here. The dots are pretty easy to connect.]
no subject
[ Not that. He's gonna tell anyone. Because, you know, Jeanist has to hear it first. ]
no subject
so what should i call you instead?
no subject
Just Bakugou. There's someone else that gets to hear it before people that don't matter do.
[ ONE DAY he'll learn to speak to people. One day. ]

hey, whatever works. [He's too laid back - and not so easily worked up by a surly teenager - to be bothered by the clear statement that he doesn't matter.] as long as i've got something, that's enough.
so i've heard it's you, deku, red riot, and uravity here, as far as people from back home goes. [Now that their names have direct relevance to him, he's made a point of remembering them. It's one thing not to necessarily memorize the name of every person who gets a news spotlight, especially with the kind of life Hawks leads, but now that he's marooned on the same strange world with these kids, they've certainly got his attention.] is red riot a kid too? i've met the others. you all traveling together?

We're all out of Class 1-A. [ So yes. All kids. ] Round Face wanted to do her own thing but the rest of us move around together.
[ With Kirishima and Bakugou first. Then Deku who didn't want to seem to let them out of his sight. Uraraka came later still. She could have come along but that would have been Katsuki's social limit. ]

it's good that most of you are traveling together, though. your class seems to do pretty well as a group, from everything i've heard. and fielding some strange new world with no quirks isn't going to be easy for anybody to do solo.
no subject
No doubt that any class that follows is going to think ours is cursed.
We don't have any choice but to adapt. Wouldn't be fit to be heroes if we couldn't deal with this much. That upperclassmen of ours has to handle it so we should be able to as well.

i'm not trying to take away how incredible you kids are for holding up under this much. but this isn't normal. it's not where the bar should ever have been set. you guys have been through more than most pros have had to field, so you guys have gone way beyond any minimum hero requirements.
you're right that you guys didn't have any choice, though. you should've. that's on us.
what upperclassmen of yours do you mean?

You can say all that but it doesn't matter. We can sit there and go "it shouldn't be this way" but that's not reality. Fact is, that IS how it all went down and I don't see that changing with the shit that's about to happen anyway. But saying it's your fault isn't right either. No one could foresee this shit happening so how the hell could you pro heroes do anything to stop it? Pretty sure no one has a Quirk that sees THAT far into the future.
But since we can't change any of it, we SHOULD be ready for anything. That's what signed up for when we wanted to follow our dreams.
[ And that's all there is to it. ]
Anyway... Talking about the guy that can, like, phase through shit.

but i still wouldn't want anyone, including you, treating the unbelievable stuff you kids have been through as though that's a reasonable bar for aspiring heroes to clear. you kinda made it sound like that's the most basic hurdle you kids should have to clear if you want to be heroes, when what you're actually having to do is more of a record-breaking pole vault.
but hey, if you're setting unreasonable standards for yourself, you can't yell at me for doing the same thing. isn't it a hero's job to protect people? isn't that what we signed up for when we became heroes? but we haven't exactly done a bang-up job protecting you kids. what excuse is good enough?
oh, you're talking about lemillion? he lost his quirk, didn't he?
