Does anyone else get weird dreams about Pokemon now that they're here? Like just the other night I dreamt that I found a swarm of Gengars, and one of them was shiny, except it was bright neon green instead of the normal shiny color (which would totally be a better color for a shiny Gengar, if you ask me), only right when I went to catch it, it cast Self-Destruct and fainted! I woke up from a dead sleep, shooting bolt upright in my bed screaming, "NOOOOOOOOOO!"

When my Pokemon came to check on me to see what was wrong, my actual (non-shiny) Gengar seemed to be giving me a look like she knew what the dream was about and she was jealous.

So I guess the TL;DR version is:
  1. What's the weirdest Pokemon-themed dream you've ever had?
  2. Are we 100% sure that Gengar isn't at least a little bit Psychic???

I shall hand nothing! What he should know is not to put those pointy teeth anywhere near my belongings! My sapphire earrings have scratches on it now, Rainer! SCRATCHES!

Indeed they do. "Dream Eater" is attack many a Psychic and Ghost type Pokémon learn. They can help you have a quiet, dreamless nap; but it seems it has backfired for your little bloke. If he is jealous of his peers' shiny color, mayhap you could get some glitter for him?

[Look. Look. Jaskier has all kind of ideas to share about spa days and fixing jewelry, but his brain is going PLACES after hearing that name.]

I'm sorry, but

"Magic 8-ball"? Please tell me that doesn't mean what I think it means.

Indeed, I've met Gastly, Geralt has a Gengar of his own. And I've seen the big tables with balls in bars, I'm afraid it's not a game I excel at.

[What is aim, do you eat it.]

I can see what you mean now, it's a good choice of name. However, I'm rather confused about this toy of yours. What is that blue liquid inside? A future-seeing potion? Is the die made of magic crystals?

You're quite welcome. Look at it this way, if when the time comes you decide to mega-evolve her, you could say the name matches her third eye.

Oh, so it's a toy in every sense of the word! How curious. Part of me wants to say selling actual magic 8-balls could kill their business, since people wouldn't go directly to the seers to pay for their services anymore. But that's also what I thought when I learned about the art of "recording" music in this realm, yet people continue to pay to see their favorite artists live. So you may be onto something!

It's a special kind of evolution. It's temporary and only lasts the duration of the battle it happens in, few Pokémon are capable of it. When you get all eight badges from one of the regions, you're given a Mega-stone to make it happen. Gengar has two different ones, and Geralt's Jenny has been quite happy with it since he got it.

[Attached comes a picture: look, it's a huge Jenny! And obviously not the same mega Jaskier mentioned in his previous message.]

Indeed! Do not misunderstand me, I think recorded music is delightful and the benefits are outstanding. But I admit I was skeptical when I arrived - and there's a lot more of this technology I need to learn more about still. Mayhap you can make your own 8-balls soon, infuse them with some power from your ghosties~?
