Does anyone else get weird dreams about Pokemon now that they're here? Like just the other night I dreamt that I found a swarm of Gengars, and one of them was shiny, except it was bright neon green instead of the normal shiny color (which would totally be a better color for a shiny Gengar, if you ask me), only right when I went to catch it, it cast Self-Destruct and fainted! I woke up from a dead sleep, shooting bolt upright in my bed screaming, "NOOOOOOOOOO!"

When my Pokemon came to check on me to see what was wrong, my actual (non-shiny) Gengar seemed to be giving me a look like she knew what the dream was about and she was jealous.

So I guess the TL;DR version is:

1. What's the weirdest Pokemon-themed dream you've ever had?
   
2. Are we 100% sure that Gengar isn't at least a little bit Psychic???

1. Nothing particularly weird outside of a few dreams of the original weird weekend I was here for, which happened before my "official" arrival. I have had a few of my Psychic Pokémon break into my dreams, but there were extenuating circumstances involved.

2. They are capable of possessing people, so even if they're not classed as such I'd argue that they're probably at least a little lowercase p-psychic.

Lowercase p-psychic. I'll take that. Where I come from, we don't really use the term "psychic" to describe that kind of stuff anyway.

Sometimes my ghost pokemon do things that make me question their methods or how they end up at those ends, too. I haven't had a pokemon dream and I'm not convinced after hearing your story that yours may not have picked something up.

"Picked something up?" Like what sort of thing do you think she might have picked up?

Gengar can learn psychic moves, who is to say maybe they don't have latent psychic abilities in some way? With this many generations of wild and domestic breeding I wouldn't put it past them.

My weirdest Pokémon-related dream -or shall I say, nightmare!- is Geralt's Sableye finally getting his dirty thief paws on my jewelry and eating it all. Which is, for the record, his only goal in life.

As for your Gengar, could his jealousy be related to hunger? If I remember correctly, they are capable of eating dreams.

As horrifying as that sounds, you've got to hand it to the Sableye for shooting their shot. Knowing what they want and going for it, you know?

Oh, is that something they do? Maybe she got hungry, tried to eat my dream, and then saw the shiny green Gengar and got jealous!!

Indeed they do. "Dream Eater" is attack many a Psychic and Ghost type Pokémon learn. They can help you have a quiet, dreamless nap; but it seems it has backfired for your little bloke. If he is jealous of his peers' shiny color, mayhap you could get some glitter for him?

I've had nightmares, mostly. Pawniards, Feraligatrs and Sharpedos.

I wouldn't underestimate a Gengar's abilities and say it's not psychic, though . . .

OK, Feraligatr and Sharpedo I can understand. Plenty of people are scared of alligators and sharks. But why Pawniard? That little guy is cute!

I dreamed I was a Espurr once, and I did not appreciate my favorite dream getting such a twisted spin on it. Also, why on earth were you awake so early?

Oh, you know. Couldn't sleep. My brain just kind of wouldn't shut up... I kept thinking about all sorts of random things.

I've had an odd dream once or twice, where I would be drawing in my workshop and then this enormous Jigglypuff would fall through the ceiling.

I once had a dream that my sylVeon had my exact face, make-up and all.

Considering that ghost types can possess us, I don't think psychic typing is necessary for them to mess With our minds.

I haven't run into any of my Ghost Pokemon possessing me (or anyone else) yet, but I guess it is something I should watch out for, isn't it?

1. I once dreamed I was vine whipped by giant Bellsprouts who kept me tied up and trapped in Violet City.

I blame the fact that I kept getting stuck there for months.

2. Gengar can learn Psychic moves, and they can eat dreams, so that might be part of it.
