first crescent beam ♀ video/action for new bark town!
[ What happens when you're a newbie stranded in New Bark Town with nothing else to do? You manage to figure out how to use the PokéGear, and that is certainly what Minako has done after several frustrating attempts. It is hard being from the 1990s where pagers were what was all the rage, and there wasn't this new technology. Either way, there's a new face on the feed - a blonde-haired girl with blue eyes currently perched against a tree with a Luvdisc at her side. On her other side is the bento lunch that all the newcomers get, opened and halfway eaten as she continues to stuff her face with the food, looking a little miffed. ]
'kay, gotta be honest here, this whole journey thing kinda sucks. I mean, "Mom" made it seem like it was gonna be exciting, y'know? I was expecting to go on this huge adventure and maybe even meet some hotties while I'm at it! But nooooo. Instead, me and Aimi are stuck here in New Bark Town because of this elephant thing that's deciding to tear up everything on the route ahead.
[ Minako gives a huge sigh, complete with a slump of her shoulders. Usually she is a lot chipper than this, but she's boooored. And when she's bored, she's super whiny. ]
There's nothing to do here. Ugh, this is worse than studying for entrance exams...
[ ...Actually, no, studying for entrance exams is worse. Never mind. ]
No, I mustn't act like this...! Chin up, Minako! It's like what they say, there's no use in drinking spoiled milk!
[ Except literally nobody has said that ever... ]
Anyways, you guys should totally come talk to me! Don't be a stranger! I'll probaaaably be here for a while, so any and all company is welcomed. I'll even introduce myself to break the ice! [ She clears her throat and gives a bright smile. ] Introducing...Minako Aino! I'm sixteen years old and a first year high school student. My birthday's October 22nd, which is coming up pretty soon, so you should totally buy me presents! My favorite colors are red and orange, if you need any gift inspiration. [ It's June, and she's speaking as though her birthday is next week... ] I really like curry and ramen, but I hate shiitake mushrooms. What else is there...well, I guess you could say my hobby is idol-chasing, but I also really like watching TV, playing video games, and reading manga. Oh, and how could I forget...?! My most ultimate, most favorite thing to do of all time! Meeting cute boys!
[ She winks suggestively, as if trying to drop a hint for boys to come talk to her, which...of course she is. It's Minako. ]
So, yeah, you guys should tell me all about yourselves! In times like these, it's nice to make new friends, right?

[Korra's looking a little sweaty and worn out when she responds on the 'gear.]
It's been kind of an exciting week... there's usually tons of adventure. Downside is...stuff like this.
[She gestures behind her, to where the destruction of the recent upheaval is clearly visible.]
Anyway, welcome to the wonderful world of Pokemon! I'm Korra. I'm guessing you're Minako?
[It stands out, that she isn't afraid or distressed or panicked and demanding answers.]

I heard an idol arrived here, but I don't remember if that was before or after that fangtastic moon party. But there are a lot of cute, nice boys here too! And cute nice girls too! There's cute, nice people and monsters everywhere! I mean, it's totes dull that people are stuck everywhere, but I'm sure it'll be fixed soon. It'd be a really boring video game otherwise.
[Congrats, Minako, you may have found a chatterbox as powerful as you.]

Is it okay to approach? Why couldn't she have been born a cute boy..... It'd be easier to talk, instead of inching forward like she is now as if she'd scare the girl away if she comes up too quickly.]
Hello...! My hobby is ramen too! I can make ramen!! [And that it's. But at least she can... boil water for ramen]

EXCELLENT QUESTION, MINAKO
she aims to please
alas, the origins of bizarre troll foods shall forever be shrouded in mystery

[But she asked everyone to talk about themselves, and who DOESN'T like listening to an Actual Feral Child babble about their interests.]
I also like the color red.
What are idols, and why do you chase them? Are they like mice? I like to chase mice.

Um! My name is Rakka! I'm, uh... Well, my birthday is...
[Wait. Err, hmm]
My favorite color is blue? And my favorite thing to do is read books?
[Rakka's already off to a great start here, clearly. As it stands, maybe starting this with trying to match Minako's energy wasn't the best laid idea.]

Shops, cafes and they even have a game corner! I think you'd like it a lot! Ah, by the way, I'm Kaori, it's nice to meet you!
[Before continuing, she lowers her voice like she's about to tell her something important.]
My birthday is July 4th.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Minako!
Now, I realize the circumstances here are a bit inconvenient at the moment, but never fear! Your adventure looms on the horizon, and should you require a guiding hand, I, for one, would happily oblige. After all, such an angelic maiden deserves only the--
[The Bisharp in the background shakes its head, jabbing him with a spiky arm. He winces, rubbing his back, and looks away for a moment.]
Now, now! Is it so wrong to offer some assurance? All I wish is to share my experience.
[The Bisharp scoffs, continuing to stare him down, though he's quick to face the camera once more.]
...Erm. Do pardon my companion! I fear he's a bit rough around the edges.
