Summary: Yuzu's boys arrived in completely different places, but thanks to Yuzu, the time to reunite everyone can come very soon.

Rating: It'll be pretty PG, these are young kids after all, even if Gongenzaka is built otherwise. Nobody here is particularly fond of swearing if they don't have to.

Log:

[ As elated as Yuzu was to find both of her childhood friends arriving at the same time... it certainly brought a great deal of stress, because Gongenzaka woke up in Goldenrod with a bunch of Rockets, and Yuya woke up in New Bark Town with Fake Mom.

So, neither of them had any form of particularly fast travel, neither could warp anywhere, but Yuzu on the other hand? She had both of those things. A fast way to travel, and the ability to warp from Goldenrod to Cherrygrove... at the expense of her lunch. Yeah, warping in quick succession like that? Not fun, would not recommend.

Point is, she's had to—and has been—working very hard.

Still, after picking up Yuya and stopping at Cherrygrove to sleep and calm down from everything happening all at once, it was just a matter of Yuzu and Yuya hopping on Soprano the Altaria and flying over to Violet while Gon made his way on foot. Something she'd have to apologize for later, but she can't be in two places at once unfortunately, and unlike Yuya? Gongenzaka can take care of himself.

Even if he is on the run from Team Rocket.

...listen, this is as good of a plan they could make. Violet City is within walking distance from Goldenrod, and a shorter distance as well compared to Cherrygrove. Said-distance is made easier with the fact that Yuya and Yuzu are flying, though they do have to stop to let Soprano rest regularly. Plus, Gon said that he was being offered help in order to get everything sorted out, which made things easier on Yuzu.

So, after a flight that felt longer than it was, Violet City comes into view, and Soprano touches down just past the gate into the city. ]

Thanks, Soprano... you did great.

[ Soprano worked hard to get them here as fast as they could, so she deserves a nice long rest inside her Pokeball. Yuzu will spoil her later. ]

Alright, we're here... now we just need to find Gongenzaka.

[ If it comes down to it, she can send out Solo to fly above and look for him, but considering how large Gon is, it shouldn't be too hard to spot him if he's here and they look around. ]

I have a few ideas of where we should go next. Goldenrod shouldn't be too dangerous if you're with me, after all.

[ She says that with a lot of confidence, actually... ]

Still, we may as well sit down and relax here, right? We've got food, and we can figure out where we need to go next.

[ Said-food indeed obviously being in Yuzu's bag. Yuya's Yamper would go through it so quickly otherwise. ]

Definitely not Goldenrod..!! [Is Gongenzaka's reply, even with Yuzu's words.] Yuzu- while I, the man Gongenzaka, do not doubt your experience, to return to Goldenrod would be far from ideal! Eating before we leave however is a good idea, you are right.

[From extreme shouting to calm nodding- that's their Gongenzaka alright, and he's already picking up his bag.] It may be best, to eat within one of the gate facilities. They have tables and chairs at their upper floors, and there are many bugs here.

[Large, three foot tall ones.]

There's some sort of event going on, right? [He saw some details, people milling about. But he hasn't gotten too close to the three foot bugs.]

Sure. Then we can look at the map, too. [He gestures with his shoulder, expecting Gon to take the lead.]

[ Well, Yuzu hasn’t fought enough Rockets to know that she’d probably be the sort of person they avoid at all costs, but in any case he’s right. Besides… ]

Good idea, the bug-catching contest has a bunch of people running around, so it’s not the greatest time for a picnic.

[ Large three-foot bugs… no big deal. ]

Still, you’re right, we should head back to Violet City. [ For a number of reasons… ] But first! Let’s find a place to eat.

[And indeed, Gongenzaka is taking the lead- toward the gate that the other two came through, since they'll have to head out through there anyway. Heck, maybe they can even snooze there first, who knows.

As it is-] Auh- though from when I, the man Gongenzaka, saw the map, it appears we could also go north from here as well.

[Ecruteak.] We shall have to decide what route is best.

Right, right. [Yuya's feel pretty lackadaisical about where they go, as long as it's not back into criminal territory.

He looks around while following Gongenzaka's lead until they find a free table up the stairs. At that point, when they can take a moment to stop, Yuya removes his pack and hefts yamper out of it, setting him gently on the floor. Yamper starts sniffing around immediately, walking under the chairs.]

Watch him, okay?

[ She says to Aria, the Sylveon cooing before hopping off of Yuzu’s shoulder to watch the Yamper… which is a nice way of saying that they’re totally going to start playing and having a fun time.

At the same time, Yuzu will set her own bag down and pull out the snacks they bought in Violet, all of which with familiar and Pokémon-inspired brands… save for the actual food, such as… ]

Here! The onigiri you asked for!

[ That bag… sure holds a lot, doesn’t it? ]

Hm, north is Ecruteak… I wouldn’t mind going there, it’s where the next gym I plan to challenge is. You’ll probably want to visit Violet at least once someday, though.

[It sure does! He's still kind of alarmed at how much clothing he has in here right now.] HOHHH!! Thank you, Yuzu! This is wonderful!

If Ecruteak involves something you intend to work on, then Ecruteak is perhaps our best goal- for that matter, it would not be difficult to come back this way, yes?

[Yuya waits for Gon to grab his onigiri first before he starts ripping open a snack pack.

He takes a big bite of his onigiri talking around it as he chews.] Mm--if that's what you were planning, we can follow your lead! What's the challenge?

Ah, it’s called the Gym Challenge. In each region, there’s apparently 8 Pokémon Gyms run by a Gym Leader who specializes in a specific type. The gym challenge is traveling the region and beating each of them in a Pokémon Battle.

[ As she talks, putting her own onigiri down, she pulls out a case that holds her badges and opens it so they can see it. ]

I’ve challenged and beaten the ones in Violet, Azalea, and Goldenrod, which puts Ecruteak next on my list. Then, after I beat all 8 here in Johto, I’m supposed to head over to Kanto and beat the 8 gym leaders over there. Then I get the right to challenge the Pokémon League.

[ She puts away her badges, taking a bite of her own onigiri before talking again. ]

When I first got here, I started it because I wasn’t sure what else to do… but I think I’m actually excited about this!

The 'gym challenge'..? So it is something akin to a series of school challenges, for pokemon battling then..

[He'll be taking his onigiri and politely eating it as he looks.] Hm! Then this shall be your fourth- it seems this is a long challenge indeed! [And yet, he grins.] Then Yuzu, I, the man Gongenzaka, shall cheer you on with all my strength and more..!

[Pokemon battling... Yuya's still forming an opinion about that. It's not exactly the same as a duel, is it? But Yuzu seems to have gotten into things.]

Yeah! [He pumps his fist in the air. He's so excited to support her.] Okay, then it's Ecruteak next so Yuzu can get her next badge.

Kind of, yeah! It's definitely a long challenge, though, but I've had fun with it!

[ To Yuzu at least, it was similar enough to duels, though maybe that was just her. [

Aauh! To Ecruteak, then! I, the man Gongenzaka, trust that you both packed what will be needed for the days of travel for yourselves?

[A SAMURAI CAN GO DAYS WITHOUT FOOD,]

[Yuya nods.] We got everything while we were in Violet for a few days, since we didn't know where to go.

[Well, they only have one tent but Yuya doesn't know that's gonna be a problem for him yet. He stuffs the rest of the onigiri in his mouth before setting his pokegear on the table and tapping to the map.] I guess we can't fly there with all three of us...

[Don't. Don't mind the rice sprayed on the table.]

[ Yuya's eating habits are nothing new to either of them. ]

Of course not. For some reason, you can't ride on a flying on a Pokemon unless they know the move Fly, and right now? Only Soprano knows that... and she's not carrying all 3 of us.

[ Don't ask her why that is. She could totally fly on Solo, but he doesn't know Fly yet. ]

Besides, it's a little rough at first, but camping outside isn't that bad once you get used to it.

I have not seen 'Soprano', but to make any creature carry three would be too much to expect, [Gongenzaka agrees.] So walking will be fine. For me at least, [He adds with a grin,] It is easy training!

It should give us time to grow more familiar with this world as well; above the ground, you can only see so much and do so much! [Hint hint Yuuya.]

Well, we really wanted to find you quickly. [And he won't mention carrying Gon is the real problem...

Yuya looks up.] There's got to be a road or something. Should we leave before it gets dark?

Exactly!

[ Yuzu nods in agreement. Yuya got to skip the first part of this region, but not anymore! ]

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Oh! I'll also introduce all of you to my team when we start setting up camp for the night.

Hmm, leaving earlier would be best, [Gongenzaka determines, ignorant to Yuuya's thoughts.] Looking to the map at least, we can see a road we are meant to take- I, the man Gongenzaka, can be ready to leave as soon as I have finished this, [he adds, holding his onigiri.]

[Yuya grabs for another one while Gon takes his time.] Your pokemon team, right? How many do you have?

Mm, it shouldn't take too long for us to get there.

[ As for Yuya's question, she takes a bite out of her own onigiri again before answering. ]

6, the maximum you can have on you at a time. Actually...

[ The place is practically empty right now because of the bug catching competition outside, so it shouldn't be a problem to let them out for a little bit. ]

Do you wanna see them?

A group of six seems strong enough; you are one short of a full hand, after all.

[It makes sense, shut-] Mn- given the space, and the time, that would be wonderful!

Six?! [Yuya chokes on rice. That's as many pets as he has back home, Yuzu, why is that the standard.] Uh--sure. How do you feed them...?

Alright, Aria come over here!

[ Aria looks up from playing with Yuya's Yamper and runs over, sitting down in front of Yuzu as she stands up, pulling out her Pokeballs. ]

Alright, come out everyone!

[ And out they all come! Aria the Sylveon, Diva the Tsareena, Solo the Staraptor, Soprano the Altaria, Mozart the Gallade, and Schubert the Garchomp.

A bit bigger than the pets you have at home, aren't they, Yuya? ]
