Goldenrod City Christmas Market
Who: Everyone
Where: Goldenrod Christmas Market
When: December 1st - December 31st
Summary: Ah, Christmas time! A time of joy, family and... commerce?
Like every year, the Goldenrod Christmas Market is opened on December 1st by a Santa (not the Santa, but certainly a Santa) with a merry Ho-Ho-Ho and a jolly tinkle of sleigh bells. And like every year, the stalls are stacked to the brim, overflowing with everything you might wish to buy this Christmas season. Every few stalls, the items make way for hot food and drink -- waffles, hot chocolate, cider, you name it and you can most certainly find it.
New this year, however, is that the stalls are not just manned by people native to this world. For the first year ever, Otherworlders have also had the option of setting up a stall, whether for the entire month or just for a few days. So if you have a special skill, a knack for crafting, or simply a lust for poke-bucks, why not come join the festivities and maybe make a little extra money?

Oh hi, Rainer! It's good to see you! [ She holds out a hand for Static, who's wearing a small blue scarf, to climb up her arm. ] Yes, I made everything here.
no subject
[ She's never known anyone who was so crafty and good with their hands. ]
I hope I'm not too late to buy something? I can tell you're packing up.
no subject
And not at all! [ She gestures to the items that were still on display on the table. ] Feel free to pick anything, or if you don't see anything you like, I can make something else with any preferred colors or anything.
no subject
[ And Rainer's just picked up a couple eggs from another stall in the market, so the timing is perfect.
Patches gives a quick, sharp tub at Rainer's sleeve, turning to point at the little blue scarf that Fluttershy's Pachirisu is wearing. She then turns her big, shiny black eyes up to Rainer, pleading. How could she say no to a face like that?? ]
What's that? You want a scarf too? Okay, then... I'll take two egg cozies and a scarf for Patches!
no subject
[ When Patches asks for a scarf as well, Fluttershy giggles softly. ] Of course. [ She glances at Static, reaching up to gently scratch under his chin. ] Static, why don't you show Patches some of the other scarves and help her choose one out?
[ With a nod, Static then hops off her shoulder and back onto the table, motioning to Patches.
With another smile, Fluttershy then looks up at Rainer. ] What kind of cozy would you like? I have these... [ She gestures to the bag-like cozies with straps ] if you wanted to carry the egg, but they're only big enough to hold one egg. So if you had multiple eggs it might be a bit inconvenient. There are also these [ she gestures to the ones that look like hats ] which are the regular kind of cozy, but they have little decorations that make them a little cuter.
no subject
How about... One of each? I'm only keeping one egg for myself, so I'll use the bag for that, and then the other one will go with the egg I'm giving to my Secret Star King!
no subject
That works! [ Reaching under the table (and being careful of the Pachirisus down there), she pulls out a few more selections of each cozy. ] Go ahead and choose which ones you'd like.
no subject
[ Patches, for her part, picks out a bright yellow scarf for herself. ]

[ It is very good that Fluttershy doesn't own a store normally, she would never really turn a profit. ]
no subject
[ She comes from somewhere that hasn't invented factory-made items, but she still appreciates the value in handmade goods. ]

[ She hands over the 3500P, but she fully intends to have Patches slip another 500P into one of Fluttershy's bags before the day is over. ]
How'd your sales go? Were a lot of people buying your knitted creations?
no subject
Oh yes. I've had a several people stop by and get something. The egg cosies are the most popular, but I've also had quite a few people buying accessories.
[ Fluttershy is really glad to know that she isn't the only person who enjoys dressing up her animal friends. ]
no subject
[ Patches is happily snuggled in her new scarf, as she tries to surreptitiously sneak the 500P bill somewhere that Fluttershy and Static won't see it. ]
no subject
Thank you! I've been knitting for a few years. It's very meditative, and helps calm me down when I'm nervous. [ Which is often. ]
no subject
That sounds great! My dad used to do the same thing, but with baking. Any time he was stressed, he'd go to the kitchen and start making scones.
no subject
Oh, a friend I have back home does that too! [ Then again, Pinkie Pie just kind of...bakes for everything. ] Did they taste good?
no subject
[ Life is hard for the Lich King. ]
no subject
[ And tasty too. ]
no subject
It can be hard, when you're leading an army of the undead.
no subject
The...undead?
[ She remembers Rainer mentioning something about dancing skeletons before, but "undead" sounded more like zombies, which is something entirely different. ]
