Geddoe has no idea where he is or what he's doing here, but absence of a tavern to park himself at, wandering about getting the lay of the land seems to be in order. He stops short, however, when he spots the girl and the creature trailing after her.

"Great, another one."

He means the creature, not the girl. Not that he sees a need to bother to clarify that right now. Especially since he seems to have accumulated a small entourage of assorted electric-types following him around, himself. There's probably another Ampharos somewhere in there, but who wants to bother looking?

"Then you have seen others like me? Excellent. If you will direct me to the rest of my family, I would appreciate it." Her parents drilled her in good manners, of course. She'd have to thank him for his help. She was certain she had some space cyanide in her pockets. That would make a proper gift, she was sure.

"Hmm?"

Geddoe glances over when someone speaks to him, and blinks. In as much as someone who's missing an eye can blink.

"Sorry, I meant that thing."

He points to the Ampharos. By now one or two of his own electric-themed entourage has probably joined it.

"That seems a rather rude way to say it," she said with a hint of a sniff. "We generally prefer a term like monster."

"Really?" That earns a raised eyebrow. "Can't say I've met someone who prefers that before."

Which doesn't mean he won't remember it--he will--but he's genuinely a little surprised.

"Thing is an individual. Monster is a general term," she said. "It would be as though you called me or my friend here It. It is my cousin."

That is rather oddly specific semantics. Enough that it takes Geddoe a good moment or two to figure out what she means. Fortunately, he's not the type to just blurt things out without thinking, at least.

"... You know a monster named Thing?"

He's... mostly certain that's essentially what she's saying.

"Yes, Thing is a part of our family."

"Hadn't heard of a monster like that before either."

There's a good chance he'll remember it though, should he happen to run into this girl or someone clearly like her again. It probably wouldn't even be the strangest tidbit of info he has tucked away, either. But, speaking of strange things...

"Are you from around here?"

Wherever 'here' is supposed to be, anyway.

"No. I think something went wrong with my guillotine. Or perhaps it was Uncle Fester's dynamite. Either way, this is an interesting place."

"'Interesting', huh."

That's definitely one way to put it. Whether it's the kind of 'interesting' Geddoe cares for or not remains to be seen, though. Still, though, the first part of that response gives him something to work with, even if it's not much, and Geddoe shakes his head slightly.

"This isn't the same world as I'm from, and I doubt you are, either. However we ended up here must have come from this world."

"I often feel as though I am in a different world. Once I was sent to one, they called it... summer camp."

There's another brief pause as he decides how to respond to that. Assuming he wants to bother at all. Fortunately(?) the need to figure out what the heck is going on here wins out.

"Actual different worlds, not just a different place in the same one. Unless you happen to know a mage that can open gates between worlds."

"It would be interesting. Do you think something terrible would happen if they made a mistake?" There was what might have been a hint of glee in her eyes as she asked, though her voice remained deadpan.

[lightningbearer]

"With some kind of gate rune? Sure."

And if it were the Gate Rune, then definitely, but Geddoe doesn't feel like talking about True Runes if he doesn't have to. He does notice both the mention of 'interesting' again and that slight change in expression.

"Don't go trying to sabotage someone just for fun."

His own tone is similarly mostly the same neutral, almost deadpan himself, but there's just the tiniest bit of warning in it. Someone taking perverse glee in those tragedies that naturally befall others he can tolerate, but delighting in causing said tragedies, on the other hand...

Others? Who said anything about letting anyone else get to experience that. Well, alright, she'd share with her brother.

"Where would the fun be in that?" she asked. Was she asking about where would the fun be in sabotage, though? Or in refraining?

"Which part?"

Not being a fan of such chaos, himself, it's hard to guess what she means.

"Any of it," she said, a small creepy smile starting to form.

[lightningbearer]

"Hmm..."

That's a concerning reply, but... Well, 'creepy' isn't the same as 'bloodthirsty'. And he's seen bloodthirsty.

"Don't get anyone caught up in it who doesn't want to be."

On the other hand, he's not anyone's parent, he's not going to stop people from knowingly doing potentially stupid things if they're really determined to try it. Not as long as it doesn't harm anyone else.

"Of course not," she said, mildly offended. "Why would I ever hurt anyone who wouldn't enjoy it?" And perplexed.

Ah. Well, that explains that. Geddoe gives a shrug.

"Sometimes people get caught up in things and get careless."

[weekday_name]

"That would be irresponsible," she said, simply. Her mother did not stand for carelessness, after all.

[lightningbearer]

"Sure would."

Too bad all too many people didn't realize that. Or didn't care.

"Good to hear you're not that type."

[weekday_name]

"Of course not. I am a monster, there is a difference."

[lightningbearer]

"... Right."

Does he find this whole conversation more than a little weird? You bet. Does he plan on drawing attention to that fact? Nah. Besides, he knows a guy who went and married a vampire, some people are just like that.
