1. Lost in the Caves

[Ryou is currently trying to navigate his way through Union Cave, but due to the fact that he doesn't know where he's going, he's a little lost.

At least he's not alone, with the Galarian Yamask following him around, but it's still not a great time for him right now. If he hears anyone nearby, he'll call out to them, hoping for someone who knows how to get out of the cave.]

2. He Has Learned Nothing About Messing with the Supernatural

[At some point in his free trip to the Pokémon world, Ryou comes out of one of those fog patches with an odd little fox Pokémon in his arms. He seems to be genuinely pleased about this, despite the spiteful little Pokémon glaring at him.]

Hey, you're not that scary there. [Yeah, uh. He actually likes creepy/occult things like Hisuian Zorua. This little guy in his arms is right up his alley.]

[ Guess who else is having a Time? Kaiba is here, and there's an apple shaped creature about the size of a soccer ball riding in his backpack.

Unfortunately, the little Applin has the Sweet Scent ability, which means Pokémon follow him. She's held up surprisingly well in battle, but boy does he wish Eva was around to guide him now.

The grass rustles. Kaiba decides to book it toward the human silhouette, which is familiar. ]

[ being in johto again was something he didn't expect, especially after going back. with that experience, he definitely believed what other people said about going back: you don't remember being here when you're back home. he sighs, accepting his fate as he sends out a message through the pokegear. ]

What exactly did I miss?

ii. this time with wings!

[ if there was one thing sandalphon appreciated during this return, it was that he was no longer restricted by the fact he was earth-bound. so enjoy a six winged angel landing gracefully at the edge of goldenrod city, almost unfazed by the bewildered expressions of those around him. in fact... he glares right back. ]

What exactly are you staring at? [ clearly, being stared at is a touchy subject. ]

iii. puppies. just puppies.

[ somehow, that cry makes more hisuian growlithe pounce on him. it makes sandalphon squawk, and he's desperate to get them off (without hurting them, but he'd be caught dead saying that). but even so, they all seem eager to make him lighten up, either by smushing their faces against his, or kneading into his back.

he grumbles as he almost gives in. he just had to be wearing his café uniform... ]

1. HELP A STRANGE DESSERT IS FOLLOWING ME!!

[No, seriously, there's this little cloud of cream floating near her and keeps scooching closer and closer, no matter how much Strawberry Cookie tries to hide behind a bush or get out of the way.]

[Of course, these things are much more threatening when you are a cookie, armed only with a lollipop.]

[This warning seems... not very effective.]

2. Hiding in the game corner

[They may not be her kind of games, and also she is still very small and may possibly be stepped on or, worse, eaten, but she recognizes games when she sees them!

So, if you'd like to meet a slightly more happy, relaxed cookie, she will be in Goldenrod, playing Voltorb Flip for hours and hours. And, oh, look, it seems she made friends with the odd creamy thing -- a Milcery, it turns out -- somewhere along the way.]

[The whole thing is like an adorable and hilarious trainwreck Eda can't look away from. In other words, anything King does. Seriously, this could entertain her for at least an hour, but after just a few minutes Eda approaches the cookie and Pokemon pair, not fazed by either's existence. Even if she didn't have a Pokemon of her own - an Absol tucked away in a Pokeball, currently - nothing is all that strange when you live on the Boiling Isles.]

You know, I really don't think you need to worry about the little guy.

1 - Stranger in a Strange Land

[ Well. He's lost. He has to admit it, it didn't take long to get lost in a new place he doesn't know at all... usually he'd be less bothered but right now, without his weapons, he's feeling very vulnerable. At the very least, he's not alone. Cradled in his arms, his new friend Espurr stares blankly up to him with those big, wide eyes. ]

Yeah. We're really in it now, huh Breakfast?

[ The Espurr just chortles at him, earning a pat on the head. ]

2 - Making New Friends

[ Apparently his students aren't the only people who seem to be attracted to Byleth's calm presence. The Professor napping under a tree with his Espurr seems to have been gradually joined by several different species of other Pokemon. All scattered around or curled up against him for a shared nap.

Espurr is neatly tucked up in the long sleeves of his overcoat. ]

[So it's one of these weird weekends again, and Felix has mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, he can spar with Geralt and Steven and whoever else at their full power, which is definitely worth it. On the other hand, last time this happened it was, uh. Let's say, emotionally draining. And as much as he might miss certain people, he doesn't necessarily want to go through that again. It's like saying a heartfelt goodbye and then realizing you're walking in the same direction, isn't it? Awkward.

So he's not sure how to feel when he spots a very familiar figure walking along the road below where he's flying along on of the routes. At least having Byleth back to spar with again is always worth it.

A Vikavolt swoops down out of the sky to land nearby, and Felix hops down from its back.]

Professor. You're back.

[If Byleth looks a little different than last time, Felix hasn't noticed yet.]

Gyro Gearloose | DuckTales (2017) | Fourth Waller

1. Route 29
[Gyro left New Bark Town quickly, deciding that a fake mother of indeterminate species was not something he wanted to deal with. Adjusting to humans isn't so hard, though. In fact, that weirdness is all but forgotten when he investigates the Pokeball he received.

Oh, the technology behind the Pokeball is a rare example of science that leaves Gyro awed and confused, to be sure. But the true distraction comes when the Rotom that was inside starts pestering Lil Bulb. Those familiar with this Pokemon species might see that Rotom is trying to inhabit Lil Bulb, as he is a machine, but Gyro doesn't have the benefit of that information.

So on Route 29, an exasperated Gyro can be found harshly demaning Rotom stay away from Lil Bulb. We're off to a great start, folks.]


2: Goldenrod City
[Gyro has run into an odd phenomenon by one of the city's appliance stores: His partner Rotom was enticed by some discarded, half-functioning appliances left behind the shop, and now it can't decide which "new home" it finds most appealing. One moment, there's a crackle of electricity, a flash of light, and Rotom has taken up residence in a microwave. Then another display, and Rotom is a washing machine. And so on. As he's watching, Gyro finds this both entirely fascinating and, well, kind of delightful!]

So that's what it is...


3: Various/Johto
[In finding himself blipping from here to there across the Johto region, Gyro finds time to gain a better understanding of Rotom, and gains a couple additional team members in the form of a Goomy and a Sneasel, both of which just start following him around and eventually end up in Pokeballs.

While perhaps the most likely reason he'll stand out to others is the whole chicken person thing, there's also the chance someone will come across Gyro trying to dismantle a Pokeball with a screwdriver or similar tool. No matter what it is he's using, he's unsuccessful, which leaves him berating the device quite loudly.]

[This is...this may as well happen, they suppose.]

[G'rhyf had just been wandering around the routes, curious as to the nature of this place they'd been pulled to and eager to do a bit of exploring. When the first little creature they'd found decided to follow them, they didn't think much of it. It seemed to be normal around here, and the thing was cute enough anyway. Certainly not dangerous.]

[But then another started to follow. And another. By now they've amassed a veritable hoard of Pokemon followers, milling around and just generally being a gentle bunch of nuisances. No amount of shooing or discouragement has gotten any of them to disperse, and as such they've accepted that this is just their fate for now. It wouldn't normally be so bad, but...]

[Minior, Clefairy, Staryu, Solrock...not to mention the Jirachi that they'd first found, who keeps close to their shoulder while the rest of the pack mill about. Even without knowing the names or backgrounds of these Pokemon, G'rhyf does in fact have a working pair of eyes, and they can recognize a cosmic joke when they see it.]

What--oh, now when did you show up? Do I need to find a hound to start herding all you lot?

Kugane Tower (Savage)
[Some time later (and notably without the massive entourage), G'rhyf has made their way to Goldenrod. The city is impressive, and quite different from anything they've seen before, and they spend quite a bit of time poking around. Eventually though, they reach the heart of the city, where the truly towering structures lie.]

[Jirachi flits around them nervously, gesturing and obviously trying to warn them off from something, but it's hard to tell what, at first. Their gaze is fixed up on the Radio Tower, and they scratch at their chin while their tail sways back and forth behind them. What could they possibly be thinking about--]

I might be able to get a foothold there to start...

[On the screen is a teenage girl looking sort of skeptical, with a guitar case strapped to her back. Dangling below her ears are what might seem to be very long earrings at first glance, but are actually earphone jacks on long cords that are part of her body. Behind her is an amped Toxtricity peering over her shoulder.]

Uh...hello? Whoever's getting this? I'm Jirou, and I think I'm lost. Anybody out there who can tell me what's going on?--hey, Denki-kun, get back here!

[She appears to be calling to the Toxtricity, who has wandered off. She rolls her eyes and starts moving, speaking into the Gear again:]

Anyway, if you have answers for me, hit me up.


2. A Quiet Beach in Olivine

Anyone who happens to be passing by this small, mostly-empty stretch of beach in Olivine City might hear bits of melody floating to their ears on the sea breeze. If they investigate, they will find Kyouka and her amped Toxtricity sitting in the lee of a tall rock. She's noodling around on the bass guitar slung over her shoulder and humming snatches of a tune in progress, occasionally pausing to jot things down in a notebook that sits beside her, and the Toxtricity noodles along with her with its own guitar-like sound.

If they approach her or call to her, one of the earphone jacks dangling from her ears lifts to point in their direction, followed a moment later by her glancing up.

[Louie knows other people can - and no doubt will - get into the nitty-gritty facts of explaining the situation better than he will. But a lot of the people here are... Well, weirdly okay with being uprooted from their lives? Mostly because they're used to strange stuff like that, and to a degree so is Louie. But as much as he likes being here, now, he still recognizes that this situation is not at all normal. And he feels like, especially for other teens, that kind of perspective can have its merits early on.]

H'oo boy... I've gotta tell you, you're a little more than just lost. This is more of a dimensional kidnapping situation. Or possibly some kind of alien abduction. [Something he's been considering since Halloween.] I know that sounds really bad, but this place is actually okay, most of the time?

Seriously, as far as being stuck in another reality or whatever goes, we've lucked out. And you can go home, it's just that no one knows how.

[The boy shrugs a little. Pep talks are now part of his skillset, it's true, but they're still a relatively new part. He's trying.]

There's a lot of us here who aren't from this place, so you're not alone. And I've seen a lot of people making the best of being here!

[Historically, Angel hasn't been able to stomach these strange weekends. With the unpredictable nature of her abilities, accidents had been known to happen. And while physical damage was far from permanent for most anything here, the emotional toll lingered on.

But those were different times. Angel has spent the last few of these weekends implementing every technique she'd been taught by her friends. And while she might look a little unsteady here and there, nothing seems to be exploding just yet!

A few watches might stop working, though -- and PokeGears might go on the fritz.]

Oh -- Sorry. [She's always quick to apologize with a sheepish little laugh.] I was just really excited to see you.

ii - on the wind

[It isn't all missteps and serious practice, though. There's one thing that Angel hasn't been able to make much use of in all her time, simply because she's been too distracted by everything else. But after watching a crowd of flying pokemon -- a whole array of creatures and colors, all from different routes and ecosystems -- take to the skies, well...

Angel can't help herself.

Maybe you'll come upon her in a clearing, trying to hover above the treetops with a pair of translucent wings. Or maybe you might find her just as she falls gracelessly into a pond, river, or other body of water.

One thing is for certain, she looks almost happy to be failing.]

iii - in the mists

[If there's something Angel is used to, it's being a silent observer. And while these strange patches of mist are, well, just that... there's something oddly pleasant about stepping into them. Most of the time, she opts to sit off in a corner. She has a little notebook, and she scratches out a few notes here and there. Her attention is on the villagers simply going about their business.

In this place, away from the technology she's been setting off, she feels at peace.

Of course -- she'll quickly put her notebook aside and turn her attention to anyone who might approach her.]

Have you seen some of the creatures running around?

[If there's one thing Felix has learned about these weird weekends, it's that there's no point in trying to predict or make sense of anything. For instance, he could not possibly have predicted that walking through the Pokecenter doors would deposit him in the middle of nowhere on the shore of a lake.]

[He jumps, hand moving of its own accord to the hilt of his wooden blade, when something that he thinks is a person falls out of nowhere, straight into the water. He looks up for just a second, shading his eyes to gauge whether there might be some hostile or out-of-control flying Pokemon around, but he doesn't see anything.

So he fixes his eyes on the water instead, counting the seconds. If whoever that was doesn't come up within ten seconds, he's going in after them. ...listen, he's from Faerghus, he's used to falling into a lake being nigh-synonymous with risking hypothermia.]

Au Revoir, mama!

[A young woman just above average height and well-built physique steps out of what many probably recognize as a familiar home. She turns to the woman at the door, waving at her with all the warmth and familiarity of a child leaving home. She turns her back only after heaving a determined sigh, posture confident as she marches away.

The facade lasts until she hears the door click closed. She freezes for a moment, mid-step and expression placid, before stamping her foot to the ground.]

And... Scene.

[She's quiet for a moment, the only movement coming from her head, which tilts this way and that.]

Sensei? Saijo-san?

[She breathes out just a little sharper this time.]

I am not sure where you determined that I was lacking in my improvisational skills, but I think you will find my performance to be more than adequate. Will you kindly tell me where we are now?

[There's only silence. Maya's head turns once more, finally settling on whoever might be observing her.]

You. [She points, finger almost like a dagger. Her movements are as deliberate as they are elegant as she approaches.] What is the name of this acting camp?

ii. The Girafarig Knows

[Due to the nature of weekends such as these, it's... perhaps not very surprising to see nothing but sheer chaos. Likely, veterans of a world such as this are probably unfazed by young women having staring contests with ... Giraffe... creatures.

Maya Tendo, however, is not familiar with this land. As far as she's concerned, this is probably a very strange sight. Any minute now, she'll have to explain why she's glowering at this half-giraffe creature. Just as she'll have to explain the strange fluffy dog that she's found accompanying her.

But she doesn't care. Right now, she's waiting for an answer. Her arms are crossed indignantly over her chest, and her chin is tipped defiantly upward.]

Your silence does not fool me, kirin. Answer me -- is this the cost of losing your games?

[Um... What?]

[Mercedes is a little at a loss as to where to go or what to do after leaving the little town she arrived in, but she's instantly endeared by her travelling companion, a sweet pink and white creature she's been informed is called 'Blissey'. Not only does it (she?) seem happy to follow her around everywhere, but she also seems very attentive to Mercedes' mood, offering Mercedes a hug with her little pink stubby arms when Mercedes seems worried about her predicament.]

Oh! Well, aren't you just the sweetest? [She giggles, and kneels down to hug the Blissey back. Instant besties.]


2. were i not a holy woman, i would--
[Some time further along the route, the two of them are ambushed by a wild Rattata! And rather than let poor sweet Blissey handle it, she goes into soldier mode and decides to try scaring the Pokémon off herself.]

Go on, shoo! [She takes the backpack of supplies off her back that she'd been provided, waving it at the rat-like creature to try to spook it away.] Leave my poor friend alone!

[That's... not how a Pokémon battle is supposed to go.]

A scream comes from somewhere in the trees. A new challenger? Another strange purple rat-like thing? Whatever it is, it's crashing through the brush like a demonic beast, making a sound like a kettle left on by somebody trying hard to burn the water.

As the crashing approaches, Mercedes has the barest of moments to recognize Annette Fantine Dominic leaping at her with open arms, almost outpacing her now-recognizable scream of "Mercieeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Annette uses Tackle. Is it effective?

Lambert || The Witcher 3

I. Arrival

When Keira had opened the portal in Ard Carriagh, Lambert had fully expected to step into the freezing far northern duchy of Velhad. Instead, he finds himself in a sunny city with towering structures and far too many shiny objects for the sun to glint off of. He immediately shields his eyes, pupils contracted to tiny slits as he looks around. A couple of the structures tower taller than any he's ever seen, aside from what he'd known at Kaer Morhen.

Next, he notices the people. All of them are dressed...weird. Some wear short trousers that end above their knees, some show off their shoulders in sleeveless tops. Caps adorn the heads of some, though they're unlike any hat Lambert's ever seen. Some of the people even have unnatural hair colors!

Then there are the...animals? Monsters? He isn't sure what to make of the creatures that seem to be...pets? of the people they walk beside. Some look to be derived of plants or other objects made of metal or stone. It's incredible, though also a bit unsettling. He's sure if Geralt were here, the mighty White Wolf would be beside himself with joy at all the creatures to study.

Of course, just standing there taking everything in makes Lambert an obstacle for other pedestrians. Someone bumps into him, which knocks a red and white ball loose from where it had been secured to his belt (unbeknownst to the witcher). Before he can turn and snarl at the person to watch where they're going, the ball pops open and out pops a small black cat-like creature with red markings. Unlike any cat Lambert's ever come upon, this one does not immediately hiss and dart away from him. Instead, it makes a noise and looks up at him patiently.

"What the fuck are you?" he asks it, as if it'll give him an answer. Instead, it just meows inquisitively back at him.

II. The Mist

Lambert is no stranger to strange things happening. So when he spots a weird cloud of mist directly in his way, he steps right into it. However, he does not simply come out on the other side in that fancy futuristic city. He's now in an area that looks much more like what he's familiar with. Except...the creatures are still around. Pokemon, he'd been told. He feels like he can relax a little more in this environment, but he still keeps his wits about him. A witcher caught unaware is a dead witcher, his brain supplies, complete with the sound of Vesemir's voice.

Still, he can't help but be curious about the odd dog-like creature he sees...So he creeps forward on silent feet, trying to get as close as he can before he's noticed. Unfortunately, a twig snaps somewhere close by and the pup darts off into the forest.

Lambert whirls around to find the culprit and growls out, "I almost had it, 'til you scared it off!"

III. Pokemon Battle!

Uh-oh...WITCHER LAMBERT wants to fight!

While the last time this happened didn't exactly end well for them, Jaskier can't say he hates these crazy weekends - the pros are too great. Geralt gets his witcher body back, which makes for much more fun in the bedroom, and Jaskier's lute visits him as well. Oh, no matter how amazing the instruments in this world are, he'll always miss his elven lady.

And he has his lute on its case now, hanging on his back as usual while he explores. Winter has arrived, so he's put on the blue cloak and gloves he bought when they got here almost a year ago (wow, has it really been that long?) - it's rather simple for Mister Peacock, but it's what he could afford back then, and he's become rather fond of it in the end.

Good thing, too, because this magical mist has brought him and Geralt to a fucking cold place - tough Mister Wolf of Kare Morhen may not be bothered now he has his actual-walking-stove temperature back. That will never keep them away from adventure, though! Something mysterious is happening here, and they must find out what! Especially if that gets Geralt another dog for his collection as a bonus.

Because he's too concentrated on watching the little screen on his camera, he doesn't see the twig until is too late. Not only the cute dog is gone, there's also a man blaming him for it. Excuse you!

"I scared it off? Why you--"

Those are gold eyes.

Gold eyes he'd recognize everywhere.

Jaskier can't help staring, not believing this is actually happening. Just to make sure, though, he lowers his gaze to the man's chest and-- yep, there it is. Very different from Geralt's (barely counts as a medallion, really) but it's too good to be a coincidence. Gold eyes, wolf necklace, awful manners. If it quacks, it can only be a duck.

"...you're a witcher. You're a witcher! Oh, joyous day!" Excitement quickly takes over, and Jaskier's whole body gets all bouncy as he turns around to call his boyfriend. "GerAAAAALT!"

Licorice Cookie | Cookie Run

[Where on Earthbread WAS he? He took one little nap and all of the sudden he was wandering through the unfamiliar woods filled with many creatures. With THIS...THING following him. An Impidimp was trotting behind, all grins. But Licorice Cookie, exasperated, was the least bit pleased.]

Will you quit following me? I'm trying to think! Scram!

[This continued for a little bit outside of Goldenrod. There were no traces of the rest of the Cookies of Darkness, nor Dark Enchantress Cookie. Licorice Cookie sat on a stump, with the Pokemon doing the same. It was official, he was in a weird place uninhabited by any other Cookies. Surely he'd have seen SOMEONE.

Wait, he thought. Maybe he was thinking about this all wrong! He stood up then and started exclaiming outloud.]

Maybe...this is my chance! Maybe this whole place is meant to be conquered! Right into the hands of Dark Enchantress Cookie!!

[There we go, he was rubbing his hands together.]

So when she sees all of the chaos I make to make this right for her picking, I'll be the right hand cookie! Pomegranate Cookie will be no more! Hehhehehhehehehehahahaa!!

[As he laughed, the Impidimp followed along. Keekeekeekekee~! This caused him to turn around.]

[Okay! New plan! It didn't take much for Licorice Cookie's servants to procure a large pot, paper cups, a ladel, and many many spices. Procure, or steal. Whichever. With Pinkberry Swirl handling the firewood, a literal cauldron was heating up and a large amount of eggnog was bubbling and getting all creamy. Honestly, it smelled heavenly, like the holidays.

But it just needed one ingredient...]

Thank goodness I still have some of Poison Mushroom Cookie's spores in a bottle! Huhuhu, let's see how the good citizens will like feeling all funky and ready to fight each other-! No!!!!

[There it was. A Pidove made a dive and went straight for Licorice Cookie, with Pinkberry Swirl diving in to swipe it away. But the force was enough for the bottle to fly out of Licorice Cookie's hands and break on the ground. The spores soon then dissipating into nothing.

So no, silence. And a large pot of delicious, and safe, hot eggnog.]

Ochako had met another one earlier this weekend, and she had held back her traitorous sweet tooth and actually found the tiny confection to be quite precious. Poor things...they must have it so rough, being literal, living food in a world of many, many wild and hungry creatures. And a big city like Goldenrod? Of course a few local birds would flock to get a bite.

This may be the weirdest bit of heroics Ochako's had to do, but even a little cookie deserves to be saved from a terrible fate! Rushing over, she swats back a few of the Pidove.]

While coming back to this place again and needing to find his army of Wooper, he was spirited away again to what looked like...well it reminded him of Kakariko Village. He actually half expected for some Shiekah to look outside their homes any moment now. But hold on! His Wooper friends were with him?

Strange.

His pondering would be stopped when he saw...an army of Hisuian Growlithe coming his way, barking and wagging their tails.

Was he still in the world of Pokemon? Yes. It seemed so.]

[The ancient puppies toppled all over him and began giving him a tongue bath. A giant fish man woul;d be nearly thrashing from the ticklish tongues of his new friends. His Wooper group would figure this was a game, and begin their own licking for their friend's attention.]

[Honestly, Ochako just assumed the just assumed the strange mists in Goldenrod were, well...mist. Or steam let out from the various shops and buildings around or something. She was on her way to work at a seasonal cat café early in the morning - happily title Nekomancer (it opened on Halloween) - so in the sleepy morning slump before she got some caffeine in her...well. She didn't think much about the mist.

But now that she's walked enough into what almost feels like stepping back in time to when Japanese feudal lords and emperors ruled, she halts and actually has to stare. Even her clothes changed with the shift, wearing a furisode and some nice geta sandals. Thank goodness Ochako is used to them, otherwise she'd be on the ground next to that big fish man and his dogs.

[Ah, here again. Great. At least she could reunite with her team and just simply survive the encounter. But oh no, this place had other plans. In the mist, she found herself standing there, dumbfounded on why of all days this had to happen to her. She couldn't afford to be stupid about this and assured her team had to stick by her. Very cautiously walking through this annoying fog, she caught a glimpse of something in the distance. The thing came closer and closer and closer--

-On the gear, an image of a girl would appear. Taking shelter under a tree, with her Alakazam, Vileplume, and Honchkrow nearby napping, she turned on the feed to her and a strange looking fellow on her lap. It was an Hisuian Zoroa, napping peacefully there.

Daria was a shade of pink as it seemed to nuzzle closer, eyes turning from her camera.]

Character Info:

Appearance here! However, he is now wearing a loose, deep blue tunic that drapes around his wings, and a sturdy pair of tannish trousers. His feet are scaled birdflesh, so he doesn't need shoes.

Fiel is a Kinshi (or Craneskin), a type of shapeshifting humanoid. He can become a creature that looks like a white/blue/gold phoenix at will, but normally he looks like he does in the picture above. In his world, he has a close connection to spirits that would let him use various forms of magic, but that doesn't apply here.

Due to being raised to be a sex object against his will, he is very inexperienced in nearly every aspect of the world. However, he is always curious. Despite his upbringing, he is kind and compassionate. He refuses violence or force in any capacity. It is his greatest strength. He holds great courage and wants to right the world for everyone that lives in it.

1. It's a bird, it's a plane, it's not Ho-Oh

[Over the months spent on the Magun migration routes, Fiel had learned to be adaptable. However, there was a limit to adaptability. Suddenly being transported to a completely new world was a bit beyond his capabilities.]

[His first instinct was to shift forms and get the heck out of dodge, so he did. This caught some attention, as he looks remarkably like some kind of albino Ho-Oh in this true form. Legendary Seekers have been hounding him ever since, wondering why their Pokeballs are just bouncing of him.]

[Fiel had been moving from hiding place to hiding place for hours now, each one more obscure than the last, but the pack of trainers trying to capture him were ridiculously persistent, and often had their own modes of transportation that were just as good as flying. If he truly wanted to, he could spin up some magic that would dissuade then, but he couldn't bring himself to attack the persistent little men. They weren't really trying to harm him, but kept on throwing those little metallic balls at him...]

2. Later, after the chase

[After awhile, Fiel found out that he was a lot safer here in his humanoid form rather than his true one. His Kinshi features got some weird looks, but he was otherwise left alone, and everyone stopped throwing those balls at him.]

[He was soon introduced to his new companions in this world, and he was immediately fond of them. He found out the names of their species: Kommo-o, Altaria, and Nickit. The Kommo-o especially reminded him of Jor, and the Nickit of Cath, so he named them as such for the time being. The Altaria, he wasn't sure of yet, but perhaps he would select an appropriate hymn. It sang so wonderfully that it made Fiel want to join in from time to time.]

[Having his Pokemon out with him made him feel more secure, so they were always at his side as he began to explore. In his world, Men created many clever contraptions to make their lives easier, and that seemed to be the case here as well. It was almost as if they had taken that inclination to it's absolute extreme, as most of the inventions he encountered were so arcane that he couldn't even begin to fathom how they operated, now matter how long he studied them.]

[And even though he was getting some stares, they were all so helpful and friendly! Not all Men hated Kin, of course, but the normal disdain Fiel endured was completely absent here. The way they lived so peacefully alongside the Pokemon was rather inspiring! He had yet to find Arcadia, but Fiel believed it would be a bit like this when he finally got there.]

[It filled him with hope. He wished that Jor were here to see this-- he'd never believe it otherwise!]

[ when sandalphon saw the pokéballs being thrown at the poor bird, his first instinct was to defend it. but something was off about the bird, and he couldn't tell what it was. he decided it would be better to act first, ask second, especially as he saw how persistent the trainers were being.

it didn't sit well with him. it was for that reason that he didn't capture pokémon without asking them first.

so instead of facing the trainers head on, the angel used his light magic to reflect any more balls headed its way. he stepped closer to the bird to use his magic more effectively, sighing to himself. ]

Honestly, such a waste of good pokéballs. Can't they tell you're not one of them? [ he continues grumbling to himself, as if the bird can't understand him.]

Waking up in a town
Lilo rubbed her eyes and looked around. She wasn't fully sure what had happened or where she was. But she had a few guesses about how she wound up here. Wherever here was. The Seven year old pushed herself to her feet. "Wonder where we are this time, Stitch..." she said.

She looked around confused. "Stitch?" Where... Where was Stitch? "Oh no! Was I kidnapped alone this time? Or did a cousin send me here?" She was upset but not the way you would expect a kid her age to be. More frustrated than scared. She puffed up her cheeks, then blew the air out.

She rushed to the nearest adult and pulled on their shirt or pant leg. "Excuse me, have you seen my dog? He's little like me and blue. He might have six legs." She considered. "Or any evil experiments?" Because maybe there was a Cousin here too who needed her?

Finding a Pokemon... or two
"Whoa!" Lilo said. She'd slipped away from any well meaning adults and had gone exploring. You'd think a little girl as small as her would be scared of the clearly ghost-pokemon haunted area of Lavender Town. But not Lilo. She'd managed to get herself a goofy looking water gun and was exploring all over, sure there had to be Cousins here.

And then she spotted a Mimikyu.

"COUSIN!" she yelled happily and launched herself at the startled pokemon, throwing herself into hugging it.

Feel free to try to rescue her. Or, you know... try to rescue the Mimikyu.

[Rescue Lilo, rescue the Mimikyu, or...a third option!! Lilo can rescue poor Ochako, because this is, quite literally, her absolute nightmare. The poor teenage girl is absolutely petrified of ghosts and ghouls of any kind, so waking up in a literal cemetery that's stuffed to the brim with ghosts is...not ideal. Not ideal at all for her. Nor is being face to face with two Gastly and a Shuppet.

She shrieks like the soul is leaving her body (and it might be, with how scared she is), and nearly trips over her own feet trying to scramble away from the ghosts - who cacckle gleefully and float after this very funny play thing. Of course they've now put a target on the poor girl's back as being prime scare material, which is basically like top quality entertainment for a ghost.]

No, no, no!! Go away! Go away! I-I'll fight back! I...I-I will, I...

[Her hands are quivering, and she fumbles around in her bag for a ball. What did Todoroki say once about ghosts? They don't like the dark or...or something? No, no, that makes no sense. Ghosts come out at night, right? So...light - fire? Should she use a fire type?

In between her floundering, one of the Gastly grins wide and licks a cold stripe up Ochako's cheek with its long tongue and she just. Freezes.

Then bursts into tears.]

Well.... this was not the oddest thing she'd ever experienced. Still, usually she was the one electrocuting someone. Pugsley, generally. But here she was, having touched the head of an odd creature creature, feeling the electricity running through her.

Unlike a certain trainer with an "official" hat that she had never heard of, she did not fall over. She did not look burned or hurt in any way. She blinked and stroked the creature's head. "Refreshing. Thank you. Perhaps you should come with me." That said, she walked off, leaving the Ampharos trailing after her. Because... weird human.

Geddoe has no idea where he is or what he's doing here, but absence of a tavern to park himself at, wandering about getting the lay of the land seems to be in order. He stops short, however, when he spots the girl and the creature trailing after her.

"Great, another one."

He means the creature, not the girl. Not that he sees a need to bother to clarify that right now. Especially since he seems to have accumulated a small entourage of assorted electric-types following him around, himself. There's probably another Ampharos somewhere in there, but who wants to bother looking?

No one minded if Sho spruced up his Rocket outfit, right? Right. So over the grunt uniform, the reaper now had a short sleeved black jacket over his uniform, pins on his hat and a bandana under it. He cracked his knuckles, rolled his shoulders then grinned and stalked towards his chosen target. "YOU ZETTA ZERO! PREPARE TO HAVE YOU POKEMON SUBTRACTED!" He yelled as he twirled his own Pokéball on the tip of his finger.

In the middle of the road, right in everyone's way, there is now a huge trash pile. How is it all standing upright? who knows. Because the thing... the thing was a good fifteen feet tall of trash. All of it seemingly precariously balanced. A shadowed form sat near the top. A Pokémon? A pérson? Who could tell? Are you brave enough to poke the pile? Call up to the form? Or maybe... wait, is that YOUR BIKE?! poking out of the middle at eye level?! WHAT?!

Sorry, are you a Rocket also? Did you think that made you immune to being attacked by this idiot? Hardly. He's just going to do it in a way to make you look incompetent and inept so he can make himself look better. And he'll calculate a way to make it hard to prove he was the one who provoked you. He'll only target Rockets ahead of him in Rank, of course. It isn't that he feels a camaraderie with his fellow grunts. No, it is just that they are unimportant to him. So far, Jirou has mostly just been trying to keep up with all the strange shenanigans in this place. She hasn't had much of a chance to do any hero work, largely because this world seems to be pretty peaceful, on the whole! From what she's heard, there are villains here, but they're pretty small potatoes.

So when her earphone jacks perk up at the sound of a child yelling "HEY! THAT'S MY BIKE, GIVE IT BACK!", she turns and runs in that direction without hesitation, her Toxtricity running along beside her. Skidding to a halt in front of the huge pile of garbage, she makes a face at the stench.

"Ew, gross? What kind of villain steals children's bikes to make piles of trash?" Jacks at the ready, she calls up to the figure atop the stack. "Get down here! You get one chance to give this kid her bike back, before I take it back."

Never get out of practice!

Sora had no clue where she was or how she got there, but she did know one thing for sure... She needed to keep in shape. If she wanted to perform, she had to practice. Constantly. Every day.

If you look up, you might see a rope that has been strung between two rooftops and secured, and over the road, on the rope, was a young woman with purple hair. Her eyes were closed, face turned to the sky as the wind took her hair and sent the rope swaying.

She took a single breath then started running forward on that thin rope. Faster and faster until her eyes snapped open as she pushed off, launching herself into the air. Her hands caught the ledge where the rope was tied. There was no break, no pause as she took the momentum and used it. She bent her elbows with the impact and launched herself backwards. Back towards the rope that looked oh so thin over the street.

Her back arched and she caught the rope with her hands. It dipped low under her and then bounder her up. She let go at the height of the bounce and flipped backwards again.

For a second her landing looked perfect, both feet on the narrow rope as she threw her hands over her head. Then one foot slipped. The foot was bare and bleeding. She'd been doing this for hours. But as it slipped, it took the rest of her with it.

The look of panic on her face was there only a moment as her hand flashed out. She caught the rope on the way down. For a moment she dangled there by one hand. Then she wiped her face on her free arm before reaching her second hand up to grab the rope. She hauled herself up until the rope was across her waist. She held it and like a gymnast on the uneven bars, she spun herself around it a few times. That was too much for the knot she had tied and the rope started to slip.

"No..." she whispered, stopping her spinning. "No.... no no...." She looked around, then saw her plan. she hauled herself along the quickly slackening rope. She had almost made it to the ledge where it was coming loose when the last bit unraveled.

Panic was gone as she twisted, pushing off from the wall with her feet. She Tarzan swung with the rope towards the other wall. She dropped off just before she would have smashed, landing on an awning, bouncing off of it to backflip onto the ground.

She landed in what was clearly a pose, legs slightly apart with one bent, arms in the air. She was breathing hard, hands and feet worn from hours of practice. She didn't look relieved or scared... she looked... annoyed. Mildly so, but still. She needed to make sure se secured her ropes better. Kalos would never forgive her if she broke her leg because of a stupid mistake.

Layla would never forgive her.

She'd never forgive herself.

Shaking her head away from those thoughts, she looked around. And only just now realized she had an audience....

A. Arrival - somewhere outside Viridian

There's nothing quite like suddenly not being where she had been to get Erika's hackles up - at least until she recognizes the Obstagoon that greets her.

"--Oh, hey. Y'know what, sure, I'll take this place over... wherever the hell else I could get dropped into, that's acceptable!" She buries her fingers in the thick fur on the Obstagoon's neck, scritching her like an oversized, bipedal dog - an image that's probably not dispelled by the way the Pokemon shoves her head excitedly against Erika's shoulder in turn.

She's got more to do if she's here than just petting her fucked up badger, though, and the first step of that is gonna be to figure out... where in Here she is. She can't say she's a big fan of that part. So the first person she sees (and probably a few after that, just to keep track of whether she's getting tossed around between locations again) is just gonna get pointed at while she calls out, "Hey! D'you know where we are or nah?"

B. have you ever tried to punch a fish

Okay, so technically speaking, this Basculegion was trying to start shit with Erika's Obstagoon, not her herself. But, as far as she's concerned, that's the same thing, and she's not exactly familiar with standard battling practices. Not that she'd care too much if she was.

Which is why, rather than letting said Obstagoon handle it, Erika is in the process of attempting to wrestle an honestly baffled ten-foot long fish to the ground, predator-sharp teeth bared as she makes... frankly a lot more headway with this endeavor than a human should probably be able to. "You can go when you're ready to-- hey, don't fucking try to bite me, you brought this on yourself!"

She's a little preoccupied and might not notice anyone approaching, but her Obstagoon will meet them with just... the biggest side-eye before looking back to This Nonsense. Can you believe what she puts up with.

[Well, congratulations. You've found them. A whole bunch of them. They take a while to trust humans, certainly. But a fellow canine...? They have swarmed all over the horse-sized robot dog, who appears to be dozing in a meadow with them, head resting on his paws.]

... Please do not disturb them. They are quite young and in need of rest.

[The thing about Riz is that he is both very perceptive and very paranoid. It's his job, as a detective, to be perceptive and pick up on all those little clues that can break a case wide open. It's his job as a party member to keep an eye on their surroundings and spot all those little things that could kill them.

The paranoia is just kind of an added bonus.

So, of course, Riz notices being watched. His ears go flat against his skull for a moment, before immediately perking up and twisting wildly trying to pick up on any sounds that might give away his assailant. His hand automatically goes down to his arquebus, as his large eyes flick around, checking side to side, down, up and-- ah, there!

He draws his gun in a practised manner, cocking it in the span of a breath, and before Shadowmaru can speak, he already has it levelled at his shoulder, the bullet pinging wildly off his metal plating.

[It's that time again!

It only happens a few times a year, but Korra can always tell as soon as she wakes up. It's the only times of the year where she fully feels like herself. Sure, things get really weird and she usually ends up in some random place, but that's a small price to pay to regain her proper connection to herself.

She isn't even sure exactly where she is, outside of 'some field in a forest'. Which describes dozens of places across both regions, and Korra can't keep them all straight. It doesn't matter. What does matter is that she and Iqniq are making a bit of a spectacle, hurling balls and licks of flame at each other with reckless and joyful abandon. Both bender and Pokemon leap and run across the space, controlled bursts of fire accompanying them.

A few of her other Pokemon are watching from the sidelines, including her Graveler and her Floatze. They're waiting for their turns to properly spar with their trainer...]

Matching styles!

There's a number of places that Danny may find himself here, given that this place bears an alarming resemblance to a series of beloved children's games that he himself played passionately before things hit the fan for him. This is probably a weird dream or something, which is honestly fine. Great, really, considering it means he can at least try to drag his thoughts away from the fact that in the waking world he's currently sleeping in a creepy ghost chapel with a bunch of strangers. And this dog...fox thing with him is kinda cute, though he wouldn't openly admit he thinks so.

Where things get, well, hairy is when he decides to do as the Romans do and try some battling. He's plenty ready when an eager camper hails him down for a challenge, and it isn't until his opponent lands their first hit on his Zorua that he realizes how much of a mistake he just made.

You see, Danny's a werewolf, and a weird one at that. He's outright possessed by his lycanthropy, and his lycanthropy happens to have a name: the Bastion. It's a title bestowed on him by the same mysterious ghosts that pulled him unwilling back from the brink of death and also a job description. The Bastion protects ghosts, plain and simple. And, well, Zorua here is under attack, and happens to, at least technically, be a ghost.

Cue an absolute horror movie transformation sequence and an abrupt ending to this particular battle. Nobody gets hurt, at least, save maybe for Danny's pride, but now there's a nine foot tall all-blonde wolfman hunkered in the middle of the road, curled defensively around an extremely confused pokemon.

He looks mostly scared and confused, but if the growling is any hint, maybe it's best not to get too close. He needs to get out of the way, though. And, uh, he might need a hand de-wolfing.

Danny is one of those teens who can find a smartphone from a mile away if he doesn't have his own. One way or another, then, he's managed to find the network, and so is beginning to drop some fun anonymous fourth wall spam.

Dimitri has never honestly seen a werewolf before, even though he is dating one. That would be because, of course, of the inherent nature that seems to befall Johto where it neutralizes everything that is not a base human being. No Crests. No transformations every full moon. The only exceptions would be during that strange weekend which seems to occur every some months....

Despite that, well, he was given a rough description of them. Accurate enough that when he finds himself on a road and spots a very peculiar looking wolf on it, curled protectively around one of those strange Zorua...

Dimitri doesn't have time to get his Gear and call Grant to ask what he should do. Instead, one of the Pokeballs on his belt (and he is so glad he managed to get his pants and belt on today) begins to rattle about. Carefull, watching to make sure he doesn't startle the werewolf on the path, Dimitri releases the little creature held within.

And that... would be a small Alolan Marowak. "Hafren," Dimitri murmurs, and she looks back up at him calmly. She's normally a shy and reserved creature, even now that she's evolved. The only times she hasn't been has been during strange encounters like with those fossils they found deep in the ocean... Or around ghost Pokemon.

Well. "If you could please help, if you think you can," he asks, and Hafren nods, stepping forward.

She is very, very tiny compared to the large blond werewolf there on the trail. This does not seem to bother her as she slowly raises her bone club up... only to suddenly slash it right down along the front of her helmet. The flames spark to life almost instantly, a strange eerie green that stands out even in broad daylight.

It's a flame that is not meant to attack. Instead, it serves as something else as she begins to gesture with it, sweeping it through the air, before her feet begin to move. Before she begins to dance, with just the sound of small feet tapping against the dirt and her bone occasionally clacking.

The dead must be mourned, after all. They must be reached out to.
