What do y'all do for money around here?
Aside from battling since that's not on the table

Back home, having funds wasn't really
a thing I had to worry about usually
I made enough to get by and that was fine

But here it's different
So, any advice would be appreciated

I'm sitting at the bottom of muddy well with a bunch of Slowpoke so, uh. You tell me. I mean- The Slowpoke are amazing, but that's about all this place has going for it.

But don't worry, dude, I'll be fine. Just... guess I really took a lot from home that was taken care of for me for granted. [ She was so relieved, at first, to have her own life back but now? Now, she misses him and would do anything to get back to how things used to be even if it wasn't ideal.

I'm fine, dude, really. Not, like... stuck down here, really, just kind of feeling sorry for myself and it seemed like the place to be for that. I'll get over it soon enough and figure things out.

Well, maybe so, but more so it means there are many people here who understand that feeling, and are willing to commiserate. Including myself.

I don't mind listening or even providing a distraction. In fact, it would be nice to have someone to speak candidly with about it.

[ Commiserate, huh? Maybe she'd forgotten what that was like. With Feldspar, they griped sometimes about Charlie being difficult to deal with but... She couldn't change anything about that situation either. ]

Why don't you tell me more about yourself then? Things you like, or things that make you happy?

Music, [ comes the immediate answer. ] I was actually trying to get a job at the jazz club here in Azalea but guess they don't need new talent. Someone said Goldenrod might be better for trying to get into the scene, but... I don't know. Kind of want to leave big cities behind for a while.

Hmm, yes the cities here are quite packed.

Tell me more about the music you play. Do you sing? Or play instruments?

Feels too... confining, in a way. Or maybe the last one I was stuck in just felt that way after a while. Hard to say.

All of the above, actually. Singing is my strength but I play a few instruments too. Best on guitar, piano, and violin but I can play a decent bassline and drums are fun.

[ The way she perks up a bit just by talking about it proves that she's passionate; it's no wonder she was especially disappointed about the jazz club here. ]

Stuck in? I suppose yes if there are things stopping you from getting away every now and then it would be quite unbearable.

My job, mostly. My boss. It was a weird situation, but- I don't wanna' get into all that.

Ah, fair enough. Still, it sounds unpleasant, but I do know what it's like to be stuck in a job.
