I know that some fruits are paired with wines, and the like. That was a large part of my education, in matching them perfectly, or getting someone who could. I wouldn't have thought to include them automatically with a drink, but it is nice that they were. Free fruit is indeed nice.

I wonder why the small umbrellas are included?

Do they give you the entirety of the fruit or just a slice of it?

A slice usually, but its a pretty decent sized slice. Like, the ones with the "pineapple" are very big.

Me? I liked the ones that they blended up with ice and they tasted of strawberries. Honestly though I like just about anything when it comes to drink.

Except scotch. Not a scotch fan.

Even if you have a wide variety of drinks you like, it is always good to have one that stands out above the rest.

Is there something wrong with scotch?

That's fair. Hard to separate what I like and what I'm used to. But yes... the fruity things are very nice. And I like the fizzy ones too.

Scotch tastes like someone boiled socks in butter and then threw them on a barbecue.

Oh, I really do like the fizzy drinks as well. I know that Felix finds them unpleasant, as they apparently are far too sweet for his liking, but the feeling of the bubbles popping is so delightful. It feels much better than champagne too.

That is quite the description, Professor.

Yeah they feel funny. Even if they make me sneeze, I like them.

It's a correct one, too. You'd probably like it for the mouth-feel though, it's very smooth and a bit thick.

Is that so? That may make it nice to drink, then, although I don't think I will ever try it myself. I Do not particularly care for alcohol.

If that's the case then I'd miss it entirely. Just not worth it for how expensive it is.

The other mercs in my father's company would tease me for liking the sweeter things but sometimes you just don't like the taste of moldy liquid bread. "Acquired taste" my ass.

It is amazing how many expensive things some people pay for simply for the appearance of class or money.

Still, I do have to admit I have some surprise there is something you dislike so fervently. With food, it seemed as though you ate whatever was put onto your plate when I was a student. Did that change?

Food is food. Love food. Drink is different, especially alcohol. That said, that's really the only thing I can't abide.

At least here, there is no end to good food. Isn't it amazing how many different foods there are outside of Fodlan? I hope you like them all and that the selection is good on your trip.

Oh yes, I haven't found something I hated yet here. There is so much variety and with such convenience. I endeavor to try something new as often as I can.
