[The video starts by recording a pond -- the one in Ecruteak City for those that are familiar with it, before it shifts to focus on the Mandalorian who stands a few feet away from the water's edge. He seems to be studying the water, though who can really tell with that helmet he wears.

Perched on his shoulder sits one Riz Gukgak, who is remarkably dressed down for Riz's standard; his suit jacket, vest and tie have been removed, leaving him just in slacks and a button-down. The sleeves of his shirt have been rolled up, displaying an impressive array of tattoos on his arms (wait, how old is this kid again?). Even his hat is gone, leaving his surprisingly nice curls on display.

For a moment, both the Mandalorian and Riz just seem to be intently staring at the water, before Riz's hand shoots up, pointing at the expanse of blue.]

There!

[And then everything goes really quick -- The Mandalorian goes from standing at pseudo-ease into a pitcher's stance, body angled away from the water to increase momentum. He's holding no ball though; he's holding The Ball.

Which is to say, Riz nimbly hops onto Mando's throwing hand, before Mando chucks him full force at the water like a fastball special. Riz goes into the water with a large splash, and for a moment, there is only the sight of churning water slowly going still, before Riz pops up again, a wide toothy grin on his face, and a struggling Wishiwashi in his arms.]

[Oh no... for a second, Allura worries it's more Zorua nonsense, but nope, that is absolutely 100% Riz and Mando. She honestly can't help but chuckle as Riz pops out of the water, that's way too cute.]

[The response comes a little slow. When it comes, Riz still looks a bit damp, but he's properly dressed again, his hat shoved back onto his damp curls. He's also wrapped up in the rough fabric of someone's huge cloak.

He looks a little surprised, but not embarrassed.]

Wow, uh, this wasn't supposed to go on the network, but thanks. We tried normal fishing first, but it wasn't working at all.

So I see. Just for practice, or do you intend to keep them?

No, no, I'm keeping it. I need a water pokemon and... they kinda remind me of Goblins.

[Give them a few minutes; Mando has to fish Riz and his catch out of the water, and then bundle them up inside Mando's cape. It's March, and still cold out. Once he's sure Riz won't die of hypothermia, Mando answers.]

[Awwww that's kind of cute, but she tightens her lips to keep from blurting that out.]

[He's really not sure what he expected, but this wasn't quite it. Or, he had hoped that it wasn't going to be something so ridiculous--or perhaps he hoped that it would be? Perhaps he merely didn't expect them to go through with it. All the same he looks pleasantly amused.]

That certainly is one way to go fishing--I cannot say 'tis the first I've seen someone wrestle a fish in the water, but I do not abhor the reminder of such a ridiculous ordeal.

[Look, he had a very chaotic friend, alright?]

[Once the fire is lit, Riz gratefully shuffles closer. Mando's thick cloak is certainly helping ward off the child, but the fire is appreciated as well. Especially because it means they can warm up some water for coffee.

And of course, they could go to the poke centre. They are practically in town. But Riz's rather die than go there, thank you very much. He doesn't trust those Joys as far as he can throw them, and his strength is very poor.

Wrestling the mass of fabric back enough that he can poke out his hands near the flames, Riz then peers up at Mando.]

Do you want a fish too? I could go for another dive.

[One of his suits is already wet, arranged carefully next to the fire to dry. He could change back into it and they could do another fastball special if Mando wanted.]

[With Riz properly bundled up and close to the fire, Mando starts digging around in their bags. It doesn't take him long to find their stained, battered kettle, dented tin cups, and Riz's stash of coffee (the stash is the easiest to find, it makes up at least half the weight of the bag). With practiced movements, he gets a pot brewing over the fire.]

You see this? Can you get it hotter faster?

[Crest is only too happy to help, and Ember Breaths the underside of the pot. She'll get that coffee percolating really quick!]

[With the coffee during Crest's watchful, beady eye, Mando turns his attention back to Riz.]

No, thanks. You need to get dry.

[A pause.]

I'm not a big fan of water. Too hard to swim in armour. You did good out there today.

[If weapons are Mando's religion, then coffee is for sure Riz's. Not that that means half of their bag is filled with good coffee. Riz absolutely has only bought the shittiest, cheapest stuff. Even though they have an okay amount of money at their disposal here (you save a lot on rent if you aren't, you know, renting), it's hard to break those old habits.

Riz sits up a bit straighter at the compliment.]

Fabian has tossed me like that before. I guess it is part of being The Ball.

[Riz says The Ball less like it's a simple comparison to being something small and portable, and more like its a honorary title.]

Gee, Riz, you might fit in with my friends back home more than I thought.

[Honestly now. The whole thing is the kind of silly (and watery!) nonsense that he'd expect to see a Fraggle do back home. Sure, back there it would've just left Boober shaking his head at the foolishness-- But distance makes the heart grow tolerant. There's a certain nostalgia to this sight now.]

Usually Fabian is the one who tosses me around, but it turns out Mando is just as good at it.

[At this point, Riz is wrapped up in Mando's massive cloak, one hand wrapped around a mug of warm instant coffee. Because, as it turns out, diving into the water in late March is cold as fuck. But still, it was way better than just sitting around and waiting for the fish to bite.]

And it kinda is, isn't it? I figured I could use one of these water pokemon, but I seriously didn't want one that's big enough to eat me.

[Boober scowls, his nose wrinkling in a scrunch.]

I don't blame you! So many Pokemon are much too large. All of mine are shorter than me and I certainly would like them to stay that way! I mean, look-

[He glances around to doublecheck that all of his and Gobo's Pokemon are secured away in their Pokeballs, and still speaks softly when he continues.]

I'm not expecting any of the Pokemon we travel with to-to do anything to hurt us, but all the same! Why wouldn't I want to be sure that just in case, I'm safe?
