Hey, everyone.
First of all: I'm feeling better.
Thanks to anyone that helped last month and, y'know, told me to see a doctor.
I did. I'm good.

Anyway, I have a question.

She's trying and therefore no one can criticize her. ]

What are birthdays like, where you're from?
We're all from different worlds and cultures and whatnot.
I just figured it'd be cool to learn about what other people might do.
Maybe I'd like something more than the typical cake and candles that happen where I'm from.

It's usually just a small gathering with friends and family in Japan. Some birthdays have special meanings, others don't. It's mostly kids that get birthday parties, though.

I didn't see you were unwell, but I'm glad you're doing better.

And yeah, that's where I'm from too so... Sounds about right.

Adults tend to go out to karaoke and drink too much but, well, that never appealed to me.

Oh yea? Where from? I'm from Sendai, in Miyagi.

Can't say I've gone drinking on my birthday, or at all, back home. Not old enough to. I can here though.

Originally from a small village in the Hida mountains, more north near Niigata.
Pretty remote though so not a lot of people know of it.
