[The video opens to Ochako’s rather focused staring, eyebrows knit together - until she sees that it’s on and indeed recording, upon which she immediately brightens up]
H, Hi everyone! Everyone? I guess anyone could see this… anyway, hi! Um, hopefully I’m not the only one that’s a little confused about what’s going on? But if you are, don’t worry - you’ll be in good company! [A big smile and a little laugh after. She feels a bit silly trying to comfort people who may or may not be listening, but if any of them are feeling the way she does… well, they probably need it.] I’m not sure about everything that’s going on, but at least everyone here has been really friendly - and, oh, oh! Look at this!
[There’s a pop and a flash of light, and suddenly she’s joined by a blue bird with fluffy white wings that flutters about before landing on her head. Ochako is all smiles and the video feed jiggles as she dances excitedly on the spot, only fear of dislodging the adorable birb from her head keeping her from doing some fist pumps.]
Isn’t she adorable? I definitely have to think of a good name for her…
[While she considers that though, there’s one last thing bothering her…]
Also, does… anyone know what the deal with the music is? I mean, it’s pretty amazing, that’s it everywhere! But… it does seem like it might get a bit annoying after a while...
[Action]
[Right, well. She can't just stand around saying hello to people all day! She's supposed to set out on her journey, right? Or, really, look for a way back home... either way, she needs to leave this tiny town! Only...
Everyone is saying she can't right now. So have Ochako, her face a mixture of determination and worry standing at the edge of town, looking out towards Route 29, fingertips pressed together nervously in front of her. If she notices you coming this way, she jumps to the side with an apology]
Ah, sorry! I didn't mean to block the way... it's just - they're all saying there's a really strong monster out there that's causing a rampage and it's too dangerous for me to go out there right now? [She sighs. She was supposed to be getting stronger for just a thing like this - well, maybe not just like this - and now here she is, completely helpless again.] Do you think a hero will come take care of it soon?

His expression is rather cold, but then again, it usually is. So, the rumours have spread to another. ]
If it is one, there shall be a way around.

His way of speaking is slightly confusing to her though]
I... guess so? It sounds like it's right on the road though and I don't want to go wandering too far off track in a place I don't know...
no subject
[ He wants to reassure her, though! Kids! ]
It shall be cleared. There may be soldiers near.

[Ochako is just. Happily reaching up and floofing those wings. Luckily, her swablu seems to enjoy the attention]
I'm not sure about a pillow though. She's so small.

I'm sure things will get fixed pretty soon! You mustn't give up hope! This girl named Korra told me that everyone's working their hardest to get things cleared up, so we've got to believe in them, okay?
no subject
Really? That's great to hear! I'm glad people seem to be on top of things... I guess we just have to stay out of the way and not cause more trouble, huh?
no subject
That's what it seems like...but I feel like there's something that we can do, too, y'know?

Yeah! And she's right here!! I'll take care of it!
[No monster will go terrorizing people if she can do anything about it. Her, and her level 5 Snubbull, but Mafuyu got partnered with a tough little Pokemon whose face isn't structured to show fear.]

[In any case, she believes in her physical strength and doesn't seem to hold the fear people would normally have in the face of a rampaging monster. For a pretty girl, she'll prevail against anything. She'll probably try to punch the poor Pokemon.]
Where's this monster? Can you show me?

[There's a teenage boy with messy black hair on the other side of the screen - and more importantly, there is another small cloud bird also nesting in his hair.]
You should watch out for Swablus, though. They can be really tricky if you are not careful! Though maybe that's just Blue here...
[He shrugs. It's probably his fault for teaching his cloud bird how to prank.]
Anyways, welcome to the Pokemon world and stuff. You got here at a kind of confusing time. Even seasoned Pokemon veterans like me are kind of lost about what's happening.
no subject
[And sure do love nesting in hair, huh?]
Hmm, you think so? She's been pretty docile...
[She reaches up to check - yup, still sitting pretty up there. She even gives a little peep at the touch]
Oh, good, glad I'm not the only confused one... I mean, I guess it's not really that good, but I feel less lost?
no subject
[His own Swablu seems pretty docile too, at least right now. She's quite the trickster.]
But yeah, I wouldn't worry about feeling lost. Everybody feels that way when they first get here. Did you talk to a lady who pretended she was your mom, too?

You can't always depend on someone else's strength to take care of things.

[It was like a permanent Aizawa glare or something, but she's pretty sure she would have spotted her scruffy homeroom teacher by now if it was his doing. Well, and he would have blinked.]
So I don't want to run out there myself only to end up needing to be rescued... I'd just be getting in the way of the pros.
no subject
[ Odd, even though technically Maria was considered a "hero" back home it wasn't a professional title or even know to the mass public outside of what the government wanted. ]

Is it a cloud? Is it a bird?! She's so cute...take your time thinking up a name for her, it must be special! Because she is your first Pokémon, right?
[As far as she can see, there are many familiar buildings in the background, so it must be New Bark Town.]
As for the music...it can't be turned off. Never ever.
[Somehow, she doesn't sound too bothered about it, actually—]
That's so cool, isn't it!?

I guess it's kind of neat? It's impressive, anyway.

Afraid the music's a permanent fixture here. You can change it with the radio, but otherwise, you're basically stuck with nonstop tunes.
[Shrugging, he tucks his hands in his pockets. Thankfully, one of his 'mons is handling the camera.]
Anyway, if you're still confused, I don't mind giving pointers and stuff. I've been here for years, so even all these crazy disasters aren't too weird by Johto standards.
[...]
Just be careful, all right?
no subject
[Ochako knows some people are always listening to music it seems like but this is etreme.]
Year, really!? Wow, uh - yeah, that'd be really helpful if you could!
