No, you-- [ Corrin giggles and walks towards his partner. ] Your ... wings. They're ...

[ the dragon prince leans to the side to take a closer look, his tail wagging with excitement. ]

Wow ... they're so beautiful! I-I can't believe you have... [ he points with his finger as he counts them ] six wings?! That's amazing!

[dejabrewed]

[ sandalphon laughs, airy and light. of course, those who haven't seen his wings are always amazed at their presence. the tail wagging was also really cute, so he can't complain. ]

Ah, those. They're not that special, you know.

[ Corrin is circling Sandalphon while admiring the big lustrous wings! ]

You have six! Six of them! I mean, you've told me about them before, and I know you're an angel but ... come on! They're so much cooler and prettier than my boring old dragon wings. [ he gives his white wings a little flutter as he finally returns to standing in front of his partner. ]

They're more than special ... just like you.

[ really, Corrin wanted to share the shock about them having their powers back, but he's absolutely flummoxed by the sight of Sandalphon in his true form. ]

[ "it's only half of what i normally have" is what he wants to add, but surprising corrin with twelve wings was not good at all. bad idea. nope.

but at the comment about corrin's own wings being inadequate, sandalphon huffs. ] Your wings are not 'boring'. In fact, I find them rather interesting. Beautiful, even.

[ and at the comment about being special, a rosy blush fills his cheeks. ] I'm simply relieved you don't find the mismatched nature of them strange.

Huh? If anyone calls your wings mismatched or strange, I'll eat them.

[ he growls for added effect. ]

... Heheh. I'm just kidding. I don't eat people. [ he'd probably just fire a water attack at them. ]

Your wings, though. Am I allowed to touch them...?

[ that gets a bark of a laugh out of sandalphon. he loves corrin, he really does. ] I doubted you did in the first place.

[ on the topic on his wings, however... ]

You are. Just be gentle-- they're a bit stiff. [ he hates them being stiff but he can summon them at will, and when they're not used, they cramp. an unfortunate fact of life. ]

[ as gently as he can, Corrin glides his fingers down the soft angel's feathered wings in every colour. amazing ... ]

They're ... so soft ...

[ he doesn't want to get carried away, so he stops himself before he escalates. ]

I'm so jealous. If I had wings like yours, I'd wrap myself up in them all cosy. Can't do that with scaly dragon wings.

Well, why don't you just ask?

[ his bright red wing, the one representing fire, stretches out and wraps corrin up into a nice feathery burrito without asking. was it for the reaction, or was it to fulfill his prince's request? the world may never know. regardless, the wing is especially warm, radiating a warm, gentle heat akin to a heated blanket.]

[ that's all he can say. it's so warm, so soft ... wow. he feels so safe and protected. feathered wings were far better than scaly cold dragon wings, he concluded. his cheeks are almost as red as the wing enveloping him. ]

I-I... wow. [ happy sigh ] Sandalphon... I've been so confused and amazed that our powers are back, and I wanted to talk to you about it... I have so many questions, and want to show you my dragon form. But right now, in this warm wing blanket... I can't think of anything else.

[ to say he's happy is a huge understatement ... ]

[ sandalphon chuckles, deciding to simply sit down (on thin air. don't question it) and let corrin enjoy the wing hug. if it were anyone else, he wouldn't let it last for more than a couple seconds, but this was corrin.

corrin deserved a lot more time than just a couple seconds. ]

You can talk about all that when you've had your fill, alright?

[ Corrin purrs - which may come as a surprise to Sandalphon, as he is very much incapable of making sounds like this without his dragon powers. he nuzzles into the red wing, sighing with content, his dragon tail wagging and swaying behind him as he does so. ]

I could fall asleep like this ... [ no, really, he could: and he loves sleeping. they should, uh ... probably go somewhere else! ]

[ before corrin could fall asleep, sandalphon retracts his wing, only to pull corrin into a hug. ]

If you're going to sleep, do me a favor and not do so in the middle of the route. Let's go home, if you're to do that.

[ being pulled into a hug like that gives him an idea, combined with the fact that Sandalphon has six wings. he beams. ]

[ there was no annoyance in his words, especially once he scoops up corrin in a bridal carry. with a flap of his wings, they shoot straight into the air. he stops at a decent altitude to see where ecruteak lied. ]

[ oh! there's a delightful giggle that escapes the prince when he is lifted off the ground, a most charming shade of red filling his cheeks. Corrin covers his face with his hands from overwhelm: he knew it was a whimsical idea, and yet ... actually being carried like this? far too good for words. ]

Ah...! [ he loops his arms around Sandalphon's neck. ] I feel ... so wooed right now, you have no idea ... !

[dejabrewed]

Are you now? I'm pleased to do this for you, my sweet prince.

[ he hums, knowing exactly what he just said but not acknowledging it. he simply started the trek home with a slow flight over. ]

[ that certainly was a muffled scream Sandalphon heard from Corrin beneath his hands. goodness. he didn't want this to end. ]

GghaahhH!

[dejabrewed]

[ sandalphon can't help but laugh. a genuine, wholehearted laugh. he's so in love and he didn't realize how much he missed without it. it wasn't just him. the world shone a lot brighter now that he was actually happy. ]

You're such a charmer.

[ he removes his hands and gazes up at that bright, radiant smile on Sandalphon's face ... whoa. ]

... With a beautiful smile like that, you're the charming one.

[ he places a kiss on corrin's forehead, now that no one would ever see him. displays of affection? great. public displays of affection? never in his life. ]
