[Louie's kind of used to these occasional weekends where everything gets weird, bu unlike those of the past, he's not a human here. He's a duck again, which is a bit less than ideal. He's gotten used to the human thing over the past year, as awkward as he felt about it initially. But ah well.

When he's called out to, the potential for a gift catches his attention right away - free stuff! - and he approaches the booth. But... It definitely kind of sketchy, like maybe it could be a Team Rocket trap? So he's not about to offer a Pokemon up for judgement. Besides, the powers of weird weekends apparently decided he should only have his feline Pokemon with him right now - including the Torracat that just was there when he awoke, settled on his chest so that he could hardly breathe. She's stayed with him all day, but for now Louie gestures for her to stay back a ways.]

So... What's this about? [The guy at the booth admittedly looks more "weird temporary visitor" than Team Rocket grunt, but you can never be too careful.]

[When you're a Warrior of Light, strange occurances just seem to be the norm, and waking up in an unusual realm with an unusual companion (who reminds you strongly of a wolf pup you once befriended, had accompanying you, and subsequently gave to four Doman children in order for them to have an experienced adventuring companion with them) is not the earth-shattering shock that might come to others. The things that would mark Firoza Istus as unlike other travelers who are sighted around Johto and Kanto, though, is the sword at her side and the shield on her back. Not everyone gets to carry around such distinct weapons without an Officer Jenny trying to take them into custody...but she seems fine? Unbothered, even!

You can find Firoza pretty much anywhere on the road, enjoying the sights with her new little friend trotting at her heels, or in a town or city looking through...well...either fabric/crafting shops or a local bakery for fresh bread. What? She has priorities!]

[Eventually, word reaches Firoza that there are other people appearing in the area who are also calling themselves, or are considered, Warriors of Light. Might even be that there's a tale or two that matches exactly with one of her own, if not for a few details here and there. And, well, she's curious, in the way a cat is when it shoves its head in a jar with no thoughts as to how said jar will be removed. So, if you happen to be very obviously not of this star (Elezen, Lalafell, Miqo'te, Roegadyn, Au Ra, Viera, or Hrothgar), or even if you're a Hyur who just so happens to also be geared up for adventure in styles familiar to her eye, she will approach with a quiet smile and a wave.]

[Well. This is… This is fine.

It’s not like the idea of ending up in a different time and place is foreign to Volo, but then he did some research on the network before even stepping off the front stoop of his “mother’s” home. Took a moment to figure out the PokeGear, but this was key. It always paid to know what one was getting into. Some research would tell him how it proceed.

The work of Arceus, was this? Some of the talk along those lines sounded like the ravings of a madman, but Volo’s aware enough to realize he must have sounded that way to Rei. But it’s— It’s almost too bitter a pill to swallow. After all this time, the high-and-mighty god has graced him with acknowledgment. And yet, still no meeting. No answers. Not a single thing Volo feels he is owed.

He won’t play his hand, that much as an easy decision to make, but others who have recently arrived in town may take note of the man staring at his PokeGear, eye twitching so strongly it could almost be audible.]

Well… That’s the game, then? I see.

[Here, Volo’s demeanor is entirely different. All of Friday, he lays low and observes, so that by Saturday he feels he has some handle on how this time works. It’s not so different from whence he came, after all. He appears on the network, smiling broadly, the jolly and curious merchant act he’s become so used to donning.]

Well, I must say, this was quite the surprise. To be thrown into the future… It’s a little scary! But it’s a unique opportunity for someone like me, and I just have to take advantage of that. After all, how often does a man who loves legends and lore get to see how his own time will shape such things going forward?

Please, I’d love to hear anything about the myths you all have learned about in your time here! Perhaps you’ve even met some of the Pokemon in those stories? Well, wouldn’t that be something?

A little Zorua is walking along beside her, a Pokemon she's found from one of the six red-and-white balls she's found in her bag. She hasn't tried the other Pokeballs yet to see what's inside them.

She walks through the city, looking like she's in a bit of a daze as she tries to find someone familiar.]

As he shops, he sees the confused-looking girl.

Once, he would've just ignored her - not his problem, right? But over the past year and change, he hates to admit it, but he's grown, some. And that involves some compassion, so he walks over.]

[ the surge of power he gets is shocking at first, but then he settles into it as quickly as it comes. in fact, he's so happy it's returned-- to the point that his clothing shifts from his trainer outfit to the armor he arrived in through what looks to be fire like-light. it felt right to be in it.

the next thing that appeared were six brightly-colored wings, each stretching out as sandalphon stretched his back. with a grunt and a rare smile, he sighs in relief. and this all happens right in the open, without care who sees him. ]

[ there has been no hoard to attack him, thankfully. he can breathe in relative peace, knowing that he doesn't have to worry about tiny pokemon threatening to break his wings or anything, especially now that he was in Goldenrod for shopping.

that is, until his altaria and noivern came about. he had completely forgotten that he had a penchant for attracting dragons. of course, he thought it wouldn't affect the dragon type pokemon he had, but he was sorely mistaken. they followed him wherever they could, keeping their heads perched on whatever surface was free to do so, content as content could be. ]

Oh, Astrals, have mercy.... [ sandalphon buried his face in his hands. lord. why. ]

Does Repel only work on wild pokemon?

[ the feed opens up to sandalphon asking the network this time. he's sitting down to relax, but his dragon pokemon have not let up. in fact, they were eagerly rubbing themselves against sandalphon's head. the smell was nice!! it was so nice they didn't want to stop! ]

If it does, any tips for getting them to behave? They're not like this, normally.

[ Corrin having his dragon powers back meant that his dragon instincts have come flooding back as well. apart from his magical abilities, these reptilian traits include his enhanced sense of smell, and a penchant for being territorial. it's funny, really - the entire time he spent as a human without his dragon powers, he thought he didn't live too differently apart from the obvious inability to transform into a dragon. oh, how very wrong he was. it was almost overwhelming having so many enhanced urges that would otherwise go unnoticed if he wasn't in a situation that was triggering them.

the dragon prince can smell an aroma wafting from Sandalphon that is so alluring - it mingles with his draconic instincts so well, he can't even explain it. at first he assumed it was a natural attraction pheromone since Sandalphon is his lover, but seeing his partner's dragon pokémon doing the very same thing made him ... suspicious. and above all else, what he would hate to admit to himself the most:

it made him jealous. possessive. these other dragons -- who did they think they were? Corrin holds his gaze while watching the pokémon adorn his boyfriend with affection, clenching his fist tightly in envy. ]

[ Along a road between towns anywhere because Pudding isn't about to limit this geographically, there is a young blond boy crouched down and looking awfully distressed. Before him stands a small, blue frog(?) that appears to be bawling its eyes out. ]

Ah, please, I apologize... [ He can be heard saying but to no avail. The creature continues to cry and he furrows his brows in a combination of concern and confusion. ] I'm not sure what I've done to upset you so but, I assure you, I want to make it right.

[ He might glance up to anyone approaching or nearby with an expression that clearly screams 'hELP ME' despite his best efforts to keep his composure. Being here is already a lot and now he's having to deal with this crying creature and his head hurts a little.

[ Whether Goldenrod or some other metropolis, there is a Ye Olde Looking Lad who is completely awed by all this technology. He holds his (currently sniffling but not quite tearful) Sobble in his arms since walking in these crowds had, apparently, been too much of an ordeal for it. In this case, he can sort of sympathize since he's also a bit overwhelmed. ]

Remarkable... [ he utters, so distracted with his head up to look at billboards and other advertisements that he

a) runs right into you and apologizes immediately
b) runs right into some inanimate object and is rather embarrassed
c nearly gets hit by a car and holds up traffic apologizing as he's yelled and honked at and hurries on his way ]

[What approaches him first isn't a person but a small Spring Deerling, coming out of the brush nearby like its been running. It stops abruptly, then bleats loudly back towards the brush, repeatedly until a voice echos back:]

[Less elegantly than the Deerling, a girl falls out of the bush after it, immediately standing to brush herself off and pull her bag the rest of the way from the bush. She pauses when she catches sight of the scene before her: a crying frog?? and a guy looking like he's developing (or already developed) a headache.]

Oh, this is why you ran this way! Hello there, is everything all right?

[The Deerling proudly prances around the girl, earning itself a head pat in return and a small, bemused smile.]

[ Honestly, Cordy had no idea this was going to happen. So much obliviousness, in fact, that when she found out Vierna was also in Goldenrod, she figured why not hang out, which eventually turned into staying over at Cordy's inn room while some godawful TV programming played in the background and they both eventually passed out from exhaustion.

Come the next morning, she's a corpse, and I mean that in the most literal sense possible. They often say that sleep is the brother of death or some shit, and the fun thing about being undead is that there's even less difference, now.

She's stiff but still mostly unchanged from how she was as most people here remember her, her pallor even more pronounced now. ]

So perhaps it isn't surprising that she wakes early. Her eyesight is sharper in the early morning dimness than it's been in a couple of months - which just means that before she can properly appreciate that she is fully and completely a drow again, she has already blearily noticed that her companion isn't breathing.] Cordy?

[The heat drains from Vierna's face as she scrambles upright, moving from being sprawled on the mattress next to the corpse to standing before she's even fully aware she's moving. It's not like she hasn't seen a dead body before, of course, but waking up next to one with no idea how it happened is new, and... and, Lolth take her, she'd liked Cordy. Liked her well enough to afford her a level of trust that otherwise she hadn't extended to anyone besides her proven allies from her own plane. (Liked her well enough to endure an extremely knowing grin when she'd let those allies know she was planning on staying out last night.)

Silently berating herself for her skittishness and sentimentality, she moves to confirm her impression. Vierna leans over the body, pressing two fingers lightly to the side of Cordy's neck - although the chill and rigidity of the body tells her what she needs to know well before she gives up searching for a pulse and instead starts cautiously examining the body for any sign of injury or poison.]

What in the nine hells, Concordia, how dare you fucking die on me... [She hisses it under her breath, uncomfortably aware that she does not know how thick the walls of the inn might be.]

Viridian City

[It's obvious that the green muppet woman wandering around town cluching a local map isn't from around here. She's practically running through the streets with more energy than she knows what to do with. A Cubone follows at her heels the entire time, and the pair finally stop when they reach their destination:

The library.

Triffany is immediately collecting as many history books on the region as she can, and her Pokemon companion is helping her cover a table with as many as he can find while she scribbles hasty notes.]

Ruins of Alph

[The mysterious ruins are beautiful from afar, yes, but it's not the same as being in them. Triffany stops by one of the dig sites for a quick talk and overview of what was discovered before marching straight into one of the large structures.

With her flashlight in hand, she spends hours wandering the ruins, losing track of time immediately as she's engrossed in the odd writings and the carved floors. Once in a while, she pulls out a brush to swipe away dirt, or she takes out a page from her journal and copies an etching. Eventually, someone may find her and Cubone deep in a dark tunnel (or on top of a half-crumbled wall, how did she get up there?) having the time of her life.

A new researcher? She waves you over.] Gosh, you can feel history crawlin' down your back after a few minutes here! Imagine humans and Pokemon livin' in these here ruins all those years ago, painting the walls and existing before they all leave it behind. Was it a drought? A war? Could the bodies they dig up provide answers? Maybe there was something down here that made this area too dangerous to live in!

[A happy sigh.] What I'd give to stay here for just a few more weeks...

Exploring the ruins!

Maybe these were ancient shrines? Or the tombs of lost long humans and Pokemon? It's hard to say what the ruins represent, but I also want to learn more about them.

[Flashlights only go so far when exploring the Ruins of Alph, as she has quickly learned. With her friendly Lampent floating overhead, she's doing some fieldwork of her own, searching for strange and unusual Pokemon known to reside in the stony ruins.

So to see Triffany here is a good sign since any interaction is welcome after spending hours in these lonely halls.]

You could set up camp outside of the ruins, but I imagine you'd need to return to civilization for supplies in due time.

A. Truly a Newfound Adventure

[There's a stare-off happening. In one corner is a very tall woman who looks what passes for a normal human here if one ignored the large rabbit-like ears atop her head and round chakrams on her hips. The other corner contains a Pokemon that's much, much shorter, but with similar ears ending in tufts of fur. Both parties are watching each other carefully, waiting for the other to make the first move, but they are fully aware that they are stuck together for the time being.

Lysa, being the one who can actually form words other than her name, is the first to speak up, voice accented with a vaguely Icelandic lilt.]

You're no Loporrit. [Which is more than obvious to any who have met that type of beastman before. But the Buneary replies with nothing but it's name, leaving Lysa to sigh in acceptance.] Fine. You can come along. But stay out of trouble. This is supposed to be my break from things.

[What things? Feel free to ask her as Lysa and the currently unnamed Buneary make their way through the towns, finding all the junk food to eat, the kind that will rot Lysa's teeth right out of her head if she's not careful with the Buneary tackling any Pokemon it sees nearby. Because Pokemon fight. That's what they do. So do Warriors of Light.]


B. Wildcard!

Tag her with anything! Lysa is a dancer that loves a good time and hates pants. Loves greasy food and sweets, and is full of sass and sarcasm!

[G'rhyf shows up just as Lysa and her not-a-Loporitt are wrapping up a battle, the offending Pokemon rushing off with its proverbial (or maybe literal!) tail between its legs. They laugh a bit, coming to a stop with their Tsareena just behind them and looking...a tiny bit disappointed, actually.]

Wandering the shops in Goldenrod City, she occasionally flicked an ear in response to some sound, earrings bearing the sigil of a red unicorn swinging when she did.]

A. Scrambling Around

[Riz Gukgak has Plans, capital letter and all, for this weekend.

It is something he has been working on for months now, ever since experiencing one of these weird weekends before and finding out they happened with some regularity. After taking a moment to appreciate being a Goblin again (eww, not like that), he's going to go to Goldenrod City and infiltrate what he is certain is some sort of Rocket Base. His pokemon are sufficiently powerful now, and he'll be in his proper body. It's been months since his first attempt, so surely they've grown more complacent again. His gun is unfortunately still gone, but his briefcase and vest appear to be functioning again. And with all the general nonsense going on, it seems like the best time to carry out his plan.

Unfortunately, what Riz hadn't planned for is this world (or whoever is in charge of it) having a sense of humour.

Or maybe it's not humour. Maybe it's just a sense of 'Fuck Riz Gukgak'.

You see, each time he tries to go to Goldenrod City, whether it is on foot or by pokemon, whether he uses those warp panels or goes the long way, with help or without, he ends up anywhere but there. He'll start off just fine, but then suddenly, without explanation, he'll end up somewhere else completely.

And that's when this world's sense of humour (Or again, its sense of 'Fuck Riz Gukgak') kicks in even further.

The first couple of times, he ends up in fairly innocuous places -- the wrong route, a different town, all places that are wrong but are, at least, sensible. But then, the more he tries, the weird the places he ends up in: bathrooms, the top of roofs, someone's actual dresser.

So if you are about this weekend, and anywhere except Goldenrod City, you might come across a small, angry-looking Goblin. He could suddenly be on the route you are on, could suddenly be in your tub, or might even stumble out of your dresser, looking around wildly, before letting out a hissed:]

Fuck this goddamn world right up the ass.


B. A Growing Boy

[Eventually, even Riz, stubborn as he is, has to give up. There is only so often he can end up in the wrong place before he has got to call it quits.

So now he has a new plan. A petty plan. A plan to salvage at least a bit of this weekend and get even with someone who truly deserves all of this and worse.

Which means you may also, at some point, come across Riz in a regular supermarket, shoving vast quantities of canned Creamed Corn into a shopping cart. He's emptying out entire racks, tossing can after can in his cart.

Do... do you even want to ask what he is up to?]

[What about the worst place that Riz could ever want to be? That being under the robes of a towering Emet-Selch?

Don't worry, he wears pants under there, well, tights but it's fine. He might not even realize where he is at first, it's rather dark due to the fabric being particularly thick and black, but those two large legs might tell him more than enough. Considering Riz's diminutive size compared to Emet's now gigantic(16'9") one, he doesn't notice the, uh, intruder. Something rather easy to miss when he isn't walking nor moving much. He isn't looking down at his robes while using his soul sight, either.

He may as well have a rodent standing beneath him with the gulf that lays between their sizes.

If Riz emerges from his robe tent, he will be treated to a very different looking Emet-Selch, his hand on a beast of proportionate largeness.

Boober Fraggle | Fraggle Rock

Closed to Gobo
[For once, Boober has woken up happy, because the plan for today is to look around Resort Gorgeous. He and Gobo couldn't afford to stay there, but the place is beautiful and had piqued both Fraggles' curiosity. As long as Boober can keep Gobo out of the creepy cave near the hotel, this just might be a good day.

But that all goes out the window when Boober realizes he's dwarfed by his sleeping bag this morning. He grabs his tail in an anxious habit, and then remembers that isn't normally there anymore. For someone who's done quite a bit of complaining about being human, you'd think this might be a welcome change that made Boober happy. But he's Boober, so of course it doesn't. Instead, it sends him into something of a frenzy.

He launches himself across the tent and shakes the lump in Gobo's sleeping bag that he can only assume is his friend, all while shouting. Not any words. Just shouting.]

[Whenever he ends up on a route over the course of the weekend, Boober is a jittery mess. Pokemon are so much bigger and scarier when you only stand at 20 inches tall. Not even a Pidove gets a pass, all Pokemon are now terrifying monsters. Unfortunately, this seems to include his own, because he's sure not sending them out to fight off any wild Pokemon.

Instead, if he perceives a wild Pokemon as threatening him in any way, he'll run to the nearest person, anyone else at all, and hide behind them, calling out so loudly that if the wild Pokemon didn't notice him before, they probably do now.]

Indoors Prompt
[More "tamed" areas are a little easier on Boober. Sure, he has to worry about being stepped on, but that's because there's more people to hide behind if he needs to. And when he can calm down, he realizes that all the panicking has made him hungry. Plus, cooking can be soothing-- He just can't figure out how to get back to camp... But he does end up in a kitchen. Maybe it's your kitchen, be it in a home or what you've set up at your own camp, and you just walk in to find a fuzzy little guy humming as he makes some sort of vegetarian soup.

Or maybe he ended up at a restaurant where you are, and you see Boober being kicked out from a kitchen where he technically doesn't belong. But if there's one thing Boober will fight for, it's his right to culinary self-expression, and he'll be squirming and protesting loudly as he's removed.]

So far he's tried walking to Goldenrod City (didn't work), warping to Goldenrod City (also didn't work), loudly announcing he is going somewhere else and seeing if it might dump him into Goldenrod City instead (also also didn't). Maybe he could try and fly there? Ah, but he doesn't have a flying pokemon. But what if he borrowed one? Or if he could find a--

Riz's ponderings are interrupted by someone screeching for help, his large ears immediately perking and twisting in that direction. His tail stiffens as his hand goes to where his gun... still isn't. Damnit. There is a flash as something dashes past and ducks behind him, something so small, it's actually capable of hiding behind Riz.

Though, wait a moment. Riz recognises that hat!!]

[ Hibiki eyes the Pokeball that mysteriously appeared in her pocket, still trying to process the fact that... wherever she just woke up is like a video game... or an Anime that Yumi probably watches. It all still seems pretty nonsensical... but someone was kind enough to give her a demonstration—and promptly blow Hibiki's mind, actually—on how the Pokeballs work, so... ]

[ So she throws the ball, it opens, and...

She was told that only a single Pokemon can fit inside a Pokeball.

They look similar, she'll give them that, but there are very clearly six little creatures that just popped out of the ball, each of them looking up at Hibiki curiously. ]

[ The one with the biggest horn suddenly shouts something out at a high pitch, all of the others following suit before they all suddenly charge at Hibiki. ]

E-EHHH!? H-Hold on! Wait! A-Ahaha! Stop it! That tickles! PFFAHAHA!!

[ She's being smothered... conquered by her "starter"... though, to be perfectly fair, they look more excited than angry, so maybe this is just them being super affectionate? ]

[ As fun as it's been, playing with her new Pokemon (Falinks, she has learned they are called), she should really try and get back home... or contact SONG... or contact anybody from home...

That being said, each time she taps Miku's name on her phone to try and call her, it doesn't even ring. No connection whatsoever... and no such luck in trying to call anyone else, either. ]

Hah... what do I do... I hope nobody has gotten worried or anything...

[ Which doesn't seem likely, even to Hibiki. She even had the idea of transforming into her Symphogear, hoping that maybe her Aufwachen Waveform would be detected. But she's been wearing this thing for an hour, now, and she's got nothing. Even the usual channels used for communication only give back static.

Still, taking care of Falinks has been fun... even if it is a bit of a hassle, keeping track of all six of them. Speaking of, as she sits on the stump of a tree, watching them dig into a massive pile of berries that she managed to collect... ]

A. Goldenrod City

[ The first strange thing to happen to Luisa was finding herself in Goldenrod City. She and Mirabel had been heading towards the city anyway, but she had thought that they still had a few more days to travel. She wasn't about to complain about arriving earlier than expected though, it was just surprising.

The second thing was when she had started doing her workout routine. She'd felt a little...different since she had woken up that morning, and yet it was a bit of a familiar feeling. She hadn't thought too much about it, though, as she went to work.

However, as she was doing push-ups against the wall of the inn, the whole building suddenly seemed to moved, and Luisa nearly fell over when it was no longer supporting her. She tensed, especially hearing some of the startled cries from the people inside. ]

Oh no! Oh no, oh no, oh no...!

[ She doesn't even think about it as she reaches down and pulls the building back into place, getting it back to where it had been before. But once the she's sure the building is settled, she looks down at her hands a moment, confused. ]

What...?

B. Network | Video

[ The feed opens up to Luisa, and it looks like she's running a few laps. Which was pretty normal. She even had some of her Pokemon on her back, which wasn't that out of the ordinary either.

What might have been more unusual were the specific Pokemon she was carrying as she ran: her Tyranitar, Tropius, Luxray, Corviknight, Gardevoir, and Bibarel were all somehow perfectly balanced on her back, and she carried all of them with no effort at all, as if they weren't even there.

As she slows to a stop, she seems to finally notice the camera on her, and she gives an awkward smile. ]

So, uh...I think I've gotten my strength back? Does this usually happen?

[Radley has to stop and stare when he sees Luisa move the building and pull it back into place. He's already seen a lot of people with powers he hadn't expected, but this is still surprising to him even though he knew about Luisa's town and Casita being magic. They hadn't actually discussed the people having powers too.

He finds he's not quite sure what to say. He could crack a joke about the weak foundation of the building, but he's not sure that would break the ice of the awkward moment. The last thing he wants to do is to say something offensive.

Evie decides to help by frolicking over with happy chirps. The other three Eevees follow. Luisa hasn't met Kiryu and Isla yet.

Grateful, Radley smiles as he goes over.]

Mahogany Town

[ Fluttershy isn't sure how she ended up in Mahogany Town so quickly, but honestly she's glad to have passed through the cave as soon as possible. Fortunately the Pokemon in the cave had been nice enough to help her get through it, but somehow it felt like a bit more than that.

She didn't have time to think about it, though, as she was making her way along the rest of the route and realized she was being followed. She noticed the Woobat seemed a bit upset, and she couldn't remember seeing any others like it in Mt. Mortar. ]

Hello there. [ She holds out her arms, and the Woobat immediately settles in. ] Are you lost, little one? [ The bat Pokemon makes a few distressed cries, which has Fluttershy nodding and frowning in concern. ] I see...you poor thing. [ Woobat makes a few more sounds, and Fluttershy nods again. ] Yes, of course! Don't worry, we'll figure something out, okay?

[ Fluttershy talking to Pokemon isn't anything new, for people who knew her. But as she continues talking to the Woobat, she suddenly begins to glow, and her hair suddenly seems to grow longer as yellow feathered wings extend from her back.

All of this goes unnoticed by the girl, however, her attention still entirely on the Woobat, still a little upset but looking a little more comfortable, in her arms. ]

[The last thing he ever expected was to end up in some frightening world of monsters, magic, and... civilization. Hell, the last thing HE knew was the fight on the mountain, the squeezing in his chest, and... the sunrise. That was it. End of chapter, end of story.

Except now he was here, feeling like his old self again. Those first few moments of panic had at least told him he was without his hat and his piece, but he didn't have those on the mountain either, did he? What he did find was, standing over him, some big... deer... thing. Waiting for him to wake up. Almost like the one he'd glimpsed every now and again at the edges of his vision back home, though this one seemed to have some tree growth over its antlers. And it kept following him, even when he tried to shout and scare it off.

So, no matter what route you're on (thanks weird travel shenanigans!) you're bound to find a confused cowboy-looking guy with a summer Sawsbuck trailing placidly behind him. Help a fish outta water out, will ya?]

[Okay, fine. This has to be some kind of heaven or, more likely given the broken life he led, hell. Or uh, shit there was some kinda in-between, wasn't there? Oh whatever.

The buildings, the cars, the PokeGears, the lights, nearly everything threatened to overload his brain at every turn. It was a lot to take in, a loooot of technology he had to now get used to. Was this what waited him in the future of his own world? Damn he was almost glad it'd ended the way it did. Give him a campfire and the horizon, that's all he needs.

Fishing though, fishing he knew. As far away from a city as he could make it, Arthur had a line in the water, though he wasn't exactly paying attention to it. He was relaxing back against a tree trunk, a hat- acquired from a shop, totally legally I'm sure -pulled down over his face. He seemed to be dozing, but- ah, the line is wiggling! Looks like there's a bite.]
