[ There is just no way. Byleth stares at him as the man had nearly collided with him after all, but-

He's- he's all. It's unmistakably Dimitri. He just stands there with his grocery bags looking dumbfounded for a second. ]

You got cute again...

[ He meant like. Young or small or something like that. Surely. ]

[boarishboy]

[ There's a moment where he's just as dumbfounded. Excitement overtakes his young features though as he recognizes the man before him. Then, Byleth has to say that and he exclaims: ] Professor! [ in equal parts relief and sudden, frazzling embarrassment.

Cute? Excuse him as he turns pink practically to his ears; thankfully, he re-gains his composure quickly enough thanks to the whine of his Sobble now fidgeting in his arms. ]

I-I'm not quite sure I follow but I am glad to see you.

[ He pauses for a moment, not bothering to give any explanation of his words, instead he hugs him, around the Sobble, patting his head as he often had during class. Just a brief touch. ]

And I you...

Come with me. I'd like to talk with you.

[ He leads him to a small open park, before taking out a pokeball and releasing a rather massive Corviknight who chortles happily at him. Though he tilts his head at Dimitri with some confusion as Byleth climbs aboard and offers his student a hand up. ]

I'll take us somewhere we can chat. It's just like riding a wyvern.

[ Oh, that's... Well, that is nice. While his cheeks might still be an adorable light shade of pink, he can't find it in him to complain about the gesture. His Sobble gives a small squeak at being pressed between the men's chests but sighs in relief once free.

Dimitri blinks at the large bird spawning. Are they... miniaturized to fit inside those balls? Why had his Sobble refused to go back into his, in that case? At first, he figured it was uncomfortable for them but if that's not the case then- Perhaps he's just touchy? Strange. ]

Of course. I'm sure there's much to catch up on.

[ He takes Byleth's work for it and uses one hand to hoist himself up onto the bird's back. Sobble, meanwhile, bounces from Dimitri's arms to rest on his back between his shoulderblades and peer over his shoulder curiously. ]

[ Climbing on in front of Dimitri, he directs him to hold on around his waist. Once they're situated, he gives a short whistle, and the large bird takes to the air with a loud caw.

He takes them up to a sunny hillside overlooking the city where they set down again. A few wild pokemon peering from the brush around them as he helps Dimitri down. ]

It's so strange to see you like this again.

[ Ah, this is... surprisingly intimate. At least, more so than he's used to from the time he's come from. Once they take off, he's flinching only briefly. Dimitri had always felt much safer when grounded but, honestly, with Byleth- He feels safe just about anywhere.

He slides off with Byleth's help, giving a small thanks. His Sobble seems to have calmed significantly, too, and he is glad for that. ]

Ah, yes- You mentioned that earlier. 'Again.' Would you care to elaborate, professor?

Ah yes. Well... this may sound a bit strange, but I am from your future. To state it simply.

[ He says this, patting Mac and Cheese on the beak as he feeds him a few berries. ]

About six years ahead of you now.

You get much taller. [ THAT'S WHAT HE SAYS. OF ALL THINGS. ]
