The black armor-clad figure just stares at him blankly. As much as it's possible to tell with that helm largely hiding his eyes.

Though, for that matter, while this guy is clad head to two in black armor, his size and build, not to mention the shape of what's visible of his face, might just be familiar...

Oh dear...

That size and build do look familiar. So does that glimpse of a face. And considering what Cecil saw in Sion's memories, he has a feeling this is Not A Good Thing.

...But it's also one of those weekends, either of them could be teleported in the middle of the ocean at any moment, and why is he not taking the kit.

"You'd hardly want to find yourself in the Ice Path without supplies later, would you?"

It's definitely bad news, or would be if it were anything but a weird weekend. As it is, it may well be relatively harmless in the end.

Yeah, that voice definitely sounds just like Sion, too. Except for the cold, indifferent tone, of course.

Cecil hopes against all hopes that this is merely a case of a similar ancestor, rather than some sort of body-snatching or possession. Still, he's not taking any chances, because mortal bodies are soft and easily damaged.

"A lack of concern and hubris will not save you from starvation or exposure."

This may or may not be the exact same voice he uses to talk his teen-aged comrades out of their wilder ideas.

Considering that Sion's father in the memory looked and sounded so much like him, distant ancestor is right on the money. It's just that, said ancestor being a god, possession is also typically part of the deal for him to manifest.

Luckily, through the mysterious workings of this place, that happens to not be the case here, but other than the lack of Sion's starter being present, it's a little hard to be sure. Something to ask Sion about later, perhaps?

"Those are matters for humans."

Somehow, he manages to make the word sound like he's talking about mere insects, something largely beneath his notice.

Then again, that certainly could be taken as implying he's not currently human himself, couldn't it?
