Summary: Sandalphon, while (almost) having no idea how to do so, hosts a birthday party for his boyfriend. Does it go well? That's to be discovered

[ sandalphon's made the best arrangements he could, making it clear that the angel's put a lot of effort into this party, despite not understanding the custom like most do. the party is mostly held indoors to avoid the heat, but the outside gardens were decorated all the same to match corrin's general preferences. from string lights hung across both venues to the dinnerware almost being pulled out of a fantasy book, corrin's party was ready to begin.

the party's main attraction was corrin's cake, painstakingly baked and decorated for the birthday boy from his boyfriend. a whole day and a couple of burnt fingers later resulted in a stunning four tier cake with several edible flowers decorating the sides. the surrounding area was meant to be an area for guests to leave any gifts they had brought for corrin, but they were also free to simply give the gift directly to him instead.

the buffet table was littered with finger food, with small plates available to the side for the partygoer to load up as much as they can. the table also has entrees for those whose appetites lean on the bigger side, if they do not wish to indulge on the snacks. the beverage station was filled with icy cold drinks as well, but there was an odd addition for such a summery themed party: coffee. if asked, sandalphon will easily whip up a fresh cup of coffee; hot, iced, and everything in between.

off to the side, there was a pokemon play area: for those who couldn't dare leave their pokemon at home, they are free to find themselves playing with sandalphon's pokemon, who are more than gleeful to bring joy to any new possible friends. the area was a vast field surrounded by plants and flowers, with a large shade tree providing solace from the fiery sun. water pokemon even have a pool available to them to enjoy.

[ She is more than happy to greet all of them with the same care and attention she gives her own Pokemon, and her group are eager to play with them all as well. ]

Oh, I've been doing all right. How about you?

[ Seeing the little Ralts, a bit shier than the others, Fluttershy offers a gentle smile. ]

Hello there. What's your name?

I'm pretty good. I'm finally getting my restaurant and breeding business going. Have you made it to that island?

[Cosmo mumbles something.]

This is Cosmo. She's my newest friend.

[Radley smiles kindly.]

Oh you have? [ She claps her hands together. ] That's wonderful! Congratulations!

No, I haven't made it back to the island yet. I'm still traveling through the region. But I don't mind taking my time. There are certainly a lot of Pokemon to meet.

[ Still smiling kindly, she offers a hand to Cosmo. ]

Well, it's very nice to meet you, Cosmo. My name is Fluttershy.

[He nods.]

That's cool that you enjoy traveling. I like it okay when there's towns to stop in at night. It's fun seeing the different kinds of Pokemon, but I still don't like roughing it.

[Cosmo smiles shyly and takes her hand.]

I think you're the only person besides me that she's ever willingly gone to.

I'd love to. Where is it located?

[ She can't help a soft laugh. ] To be honest, I'm not usually much for travel, especially on my own. I usually prefer being where I can be sure it's safe. [ Even though that didn't always mean that things stayed safe there. ] But I still wanted to meet the different kinds of Pokemon around here, so I don't mind traveling as much if I can do that.

[ With a smile, she gently pets Cosmo on the head before reaching back to pick up a berry and offer it to the Ralts. ] Well, I know what it's like to feel shy around others.

In Goldenrod City. I really like it there and I think it's the best place for me to settle while I'm here.

The scenery's really nice here, and the Pokemon are cute. [Mostly.] I liked traveling with mine, but it would have been nice to have even one person with us. Still, it was better than traveling back home.

[Cosmo happily takes the berry.]

Yeah, she's really sweet.

Goldenrod does seem like a good place to open a restaurant, since it's such a big city and all. [ Lot of foot traffic and all that. ]

Mm, it can get a bit lonely traveling. [ But then, she has Pokemon to talk to, so it probably isn't as lonely for her. ]

She really is. Where did you two meet?

Yeah, I like being around people, especially after the traveling. I don't really wanna do that again, unless maybe it's on Harley, my Rookidee, after she evolves.

[He smiles at Cosmo.]

I got her as an egg from Zuke. Seeing how shy she is, I'm surprised she hatched so quickly.

Mm, yeah. To be honest, I don't normally mind being by myself for a while. But traveling like this is a lot to do by yourself. [ Even if she is planning on still traveling for a bit longer. ]

Well, even shy people like us do enjoy making new friends. Maybe she was excited to meet you.

It sure is. This world is so big.

[Cosmo makes a sound of agreement. Radley smiles.]
