Who: open log and generally open to anyone that knows lance/the voltron crew.
Where: Beach near base camp
When: Lance's B-Day (28th)
Summary: The Voltron Crew plans a little party
Rating: Probably not worse than PG-13
Log:
[Okay, cue the spy music. Stage one of the plan? Convince Lance they have a mission to go on. Try to keep the story straight. (Keeping the mission straight is not a guarantee.) Stage two, set up party ahead of the oncoming group, form sugary ambush. Except Hunk has to use whatever materials he can scrounge from supplies, around, or from available pokemon.]
[Final stage. Surprise! Keep food away from surprised Lance so he doesn't destroy the desert table through flailing- that is if the surprise is successful. Actually Hunk'll just put Dragon Roll the Gyarados out so he's hiding the whole thing. And will be between any Paladin-induced mishaps.]
[In short there's a party on the beach, with the decorations being mostly local flowers grown with the help of some pokemon teamwork, roasted and steamed veggies with herbs, sweet fruit-based dishes, mochi, and rice-milk ice cream.]
[Time to eat up and enjoy Lance's birthday!]

[He waves it off dismissively. Seriously, he's fine with his food for being for heathens that eat without utensils.]
Yup! It is. A lot of the food around here was close to traditional Japanese food! So I worked with what I got. Sorry I only know a few Altean recipes. If we'd had milk I would have made some of your cookies.

I do remember some things from the time I spent on Earth with you all. Though, I do know that supplies were limited after what had happened with Sendak.
Coran had taught me some traditional Altean recipes, though, as part of my diplomatic training he was putting me through. Once we're back in the present time, we should find a way to emulate them here in PokéWorld!
[That got her excited, honestly. And there was an added benefit.] I think Allura would really like it a lot if we could do that. [Allura had really become like a sister to Romelle, and she knew there was a lot the Princess missed from their shared ancestral home. If she could bring that back to her, it would mean a lot. And Romelle knew that Hunk had the skills to make approximations of things with on-hand ingredients. He was the perfect person to help her with it!]

[They usually won, after all. But now losing Allura has also made him realize that sometimes they might not luck out. Not like they did back then.]
But at least we're able to reach out into the universe now, you know? And grow together. I kind of hope that the next Yellow Lion paladin isn't human. Mix it up a little more.
[Because as far as Hunk is concerned, his duty is over. He loves his team, but he'd much rather focus on being a peacemaker. Surely someone can be a better protector than him.]
But yeah, when we get back let's make some Altean food. I'd like that too!

But his comment about the Yellow Lion did catch her slightly off-guard.]
So... you're not planning to stay with Voltron long-term? Like... as a career.
[Romelle didn't know they'd gotten as far as they had, yet. Yes, she'd seen Sendak's defeat, and they were even on their way to bring down Honerva. But she'd been trying to enjoy a Clear Day festival with the Voltron and Atlas crews when she woke up in Mom's house.
Still... she did smile slightly.]
So what is it that you'd like to do, then? Instead of saving the universe?

I've got a vision. [He thumps his chest proudly.] And I'm not going to rest until we have as many recipes as possible.

That sounds amazing, Hunk! [If anyone could pull something like that off, it was him.] Then, yes... I will definitely help you learn Altean recipes. And, back home, I'm sure Coran would help, too! Though, some of his recipes... I do have to wonder about...

[It's good to see her so happy, though. Another person this place has done a lot of good for. Not that she was particularly dour before, but if it cheers her up this much he definitely wants her help.]

[Though considering their time trapped on the lions, she's probably well aware of the disasterflavor of that goo. At least he did his best with having a variety of rations. Or else he might have gone even more insane.]

[If he can think of it all again if he gets back. A thoughtful look crosses his face.]
Do you think there's any chance that maybe we're all from different universes somehow? Different timelines? [Because... well, he wishes people could find each other again. Sure Lance and Pidge might, but that's practically under the worst circumstances considering Allura. It breaks his heart. He just wants his friends to be happy after they've gone through so much. All of them.]

[She considered his next question for a bit.]
I suppose. It's not impossible. Though, if it were the case, then that would mean we don't all truly know each other, wouldn't it? And, well... I don't know. That's kind of lonely sounding. I'd prefer to think that we're all at least from the same reality, even if it might be a different point in time.
[But the more pressing question here...]
What's an em are ee?

[He's not sure which he thinks is worse. Or alternately, better. Mostly that he got so used to seeing everyone stressed that he hates that this is some kind of forgettable vacation that'll be erased.]
[But rather than muse too hard on the philosophy of it, he explains.]
"Meal Ready to Eat." It's something you can take prepackaged without refrigeration and just warm it up on the go. Less like goo rations and more like, you know, an actual meal. With all the protein and vitamins you might need with different dishes. On Earth a lot of places have their own specialized versions of it. Hit or miss whether or not they're completely terrible.

Oh! That sounds so handy! Especially with how so many people travel for the gym challenges and stuff. If you want help, I'd love to give it a try.

I had some ideas about opening up a main restaurant and then having good carts travel Johto and Kanto. But for that I'll definitely need help. Both with packages of fresh ingredients for people that want to cook along the way and preprepared foods.
I haven't even decided on a name yet. I'd considered 'Five Lions' but I really want something for everyone who's homesick.

I could definitely help with packaging. And with maybe a cart... Though, you'd have to teach me how to prepare things that way. [She learned about food carts. And they were fascinating.]
But, for a name, I suppose... hm. It would be nice to have something that everyone can identify with, but... Well, it's your business. It should more strongly identify with you. That way, people know who they're going to when they visit.
