[voice - action for new bark town]
[action]
[ His first instinct had been to leave that building. Leave that woman. And it had felt right - though, the sun hitting him had truly made him feel... alive. For the first time in a long time.
However, he has to clean up. It's been far too long since he's been out and free. His thoughts turn to the waters he can hear - and, so, you may find Basch, washing his hair over the coastline, still shirtless - his Spinda sitting by him and staring with a curious look. His spare clothes - those of a Tourist - were laid nearby. ]
[voice]
[ After a while of his rest, and cleaning up as best he could, Basch has learned of this odd technology - video cameras. Mostly from observing the others who are in this town, greeting others. Seeking others from their world, asking questions of their situation - but he cannot show his face to them. If there are any from his world, he cannot let them know he is alive. He is hated by most, and held in contempt by the few others.
That is why, you see, he had taken time to figure out how to enter voice mode. His voice is strong - he had rehearsed what he was to say. Though he has not had to say even this much in so long... ]
I am another who has arrived in this land but recently. If there is further guides then the ones that have arrived, where may they be found? Until the creature blocking the path to the next city has been subdued, it shall be difficult to leave.
Spiiiinda?
...My own beast, Spinda, does not seem to have the strength to take on many. Is there another with one who may instruct proper training methods - or the means to acquire others.
[ There's a pause. He... did not know how to end the recording - a slight grunt came from him, and a mumble of "I've still not seen devices this advanced", before it ends. ]

Aye. I'd not expect a warrior to begin with much exp-- Snorlax are strong creatures, then?

[ A pause, before. ]
...Sorry. I simply wish to begin with the best possible chance of survival.

[His grin dies for a moment.]
Wait. I have heard that there is wreckage and some very upset Pokemon on the routes. Have you heard a report of something blocking the road? I only thought of Snorlax after seeing them on my trip through Kanto. I've never seen one in the wild where you are.

[ After a few moments, Basch has managed to switch to video - and his Spinda is sitting there. Almost making ducklips. ]
They are rare?
no subject
Please allow him to stare starry-eyed for a few moments.]
Officially, they're not supposed to be. But I've been seeking them out for weeks, without success... Well, at least I now know they weren't just made up. Thanks; I owe you one.
no subject
There are many others. Are any more skilled then others?
[ Gotta ask. If he's going to be here, he should build up protection for if anybody from home ever comes. ]

Yo, mister. [She approaches slowly from behind, careful not to go anywhere near the water without some sort of flotation device to ensure her life] What d'you do around here?
no subject
...Sorry. I just arrived.

[Her question was vague enough that she doesn't feel embarrassed for calling out a complete stranger, so Mafuyu edges a little closer to the water and tries to peer past the surface.
So what're you doing now? Fishing? Is there fish? I want to eat fish. [maybe she'd be able to see if she weren't still several feet away]

[ He slightly gestures his head - she can come closer. He won't bite, even if he's a man with deep wounds in his body and also sounds rather threatening. ]

action;
It seems to have gotten her Dratini's attention at the least as he dives into the water right beside him. That may have been more water than he wanted coming towards him.
Rosa can only stand in place paralyzed by the scene. Give her a moment, she might make an attempt at an apology or to see if everything is alright. ]
action;
Don't mind him trying to grab and throw your Pokemon, though. He still thinks of them monsters, and Spinda isn't helping. Spinda thinks it's amuzing. ]
action;
[ Her Pokemon has been kind of a bully towards her today so she hopes by calling out his name, he'll behave himself towards a stranger. That and it gives away that he belongs with someone, that he's not a beast from the wilderness. ]

You have a spinda?!
[Normally she wasn't so rude and would introduce herself firstly but she had joined the hunt for a spinda quite some time ago and had since been really eager to see this little adorable pokemon.]
no subject
Who's posing, even while tottling around? ]
Aye.

It takes a few moments of her making excited little sounds over the spinda before she finally manages to compose herself.]
I'm so sorry! My name is Mai. Was there anything you needed help with? I read the guides when I arrived, but I find that doing things is the best way to go!

Strategy is important. Before rushing in, he has to make sure he knows the most he can.
He says, though, before pondering what to ask. There's a lot he could ask from those who've been here longer, but... ]
Two now have been curious about my Spinda. Is there a way... to create more?
[ He really is unaware of how to take care of these monsters. And didn't really have a breeding section in his Trainers' Guide. ]

[Come to think of it, has he ever seen one up close? Well, heard one in this case. He'll respect this guy's preference for voice, even if his preferences are video and text.]
Well, if you're looking for a guide, I can set you up. Been here for six years, so I've got plenty of info to share, but first...
[He pauses.]
You know how to navigate the text mode? That might help a bit.
no subject
There's a pause, and a small grunt of 'Sorry' from Basch, as he works on switching to text. Since he's not used to the idea of... this simply being quick communication, he's going to treat it like a letter. ]
This is foreign to me. Others have given me information on the variety of creatures, and various information on the land itself.
As for the matter of Spinda; I have already been told of breeding them, for there are others who have spoken of them as rare. He almost seems satisfied to hear of the manner - but, I may be reading him wrong.
no subject
Anyway, if you still need a guide, mine's right over here. Just keep in mind that it's kinda lengthy, and don't feel too pressured to read it all at once.
Honestly, I'm not even sure why Spindas are so rare. Most really rare Pokémon are huge, menacing, and insanely powerful. But maybe Spindas' looks are just a way to lure people into a false sense of security.
That'd actually be pretty amazing.

A few questions and comments about your document, if I may.
- A God has been sighted in this world? If they cannot seem to answer who may and may not be chosen to return home or arrive here, perhaps they rule another power/element.
- Humans. They are what we are, yes? I do not feel different, but the word used in my world is Hume. There may be differences - but if I have been changed, I shall accept it. If this world also lacks powers, then it may be nice. In my land, there are parts which are covered in a fog-like Mist. This world almost feels... unreal.
- These Pokemon that you recommend and speak of - are there any whom I may talk to in order to find them? I desire to gain a good team quickly.
- If there are 18 elements of Pokemon (or, 17 and the lack of element), do they apply to other parts of this land?
I have been considering beginning a training diary for Spinda, if they have not been studied before. I am not a researcher, but I have experience with soldiers. There are rumours of creatures who have cute appearances but large strength in my own world - I would expect the same of this one. I would expect that there would be quite a bit, if they had adapted to battle.
For now, I shall await your response, while observing my Spinda. I have named him Golmore - the oddest behavior I have observed for now is that... he cannot stop seemingly dancing, or wobbling. Perhaps a defense mechanism.
