New Bark Town Mingle Log

There was some interest expressed in doing a New Bark Town mingle log, so I'm throwing this up here for anyone who wants to do it:

Who: Anyone who wants to!

Where: Mom's House, New Bark Town

When: August 14th

Summary: There is a huge group at Mom's! What are they doing?

Log:

Radley looks up from reuniting with most of his Pokemon to see that everyone else is doing the same ... mostly. Although there are some very strange things going on. It sounds like someone is in the closet. Someone else is yelling for help getting off the ... fridge? And it's wall to wall people everywhere.

"Oh boy...."

He gets up and looks for both a way out of here and a path to whoever needs help. His Pokemon warble and follow him, or rather, all he can't carry follows him. Cosmo the Ralts stays clinging to his neck. She was already extremely shy and reluctant to let go of Radley before all this happened. She may never let go of him now....

“Yeah, it looks like Godric has been dizzy ever since Arceus brought us back to the present,” Harry also takes note of his (Godric’s) not great state, “Maybe there is something that can alleviate a Pokémon’s time travel induced dizziness.”

The young Rowlet coos in concern as he asks Godric of how he is feeling right now as Lily and Violet look with the same amount of concern. Godric whimpers as he tries to remain standing on his 4 paws.

"Well, I don't know about time travel dizziness, per se, but there should definitely be something. I wonder if we'll have to go to Cherrygrove to the Pokemon Center to find anything. Or maybe the professor has something here in his lab!" That should be checked on first.

“Maybe we can go to both places and see if they can try to help him out,” Harry chimes in, “Hopefully they have something to assist him in recovering from it.”

Now he knows well that he needs to change out of his Hisuian clothes real soon, but that is not within his immediate priority list at the moment: he really has to attend to Godric’s time travel sickness and dizziness first.

"Yeah, I sure hope so," Radley frowns. "It looks like it'll rain too. I need to get to Cherrygrove to access the Warp Pads, but I need to hitch a ride with someone to there." He does not want to walk. And with this new problem, that's another reason to not want to walk. They need to get there as soon as possible if that is where they can help the Growlithe.

Now he could have just give Godric the Fire Stone so he could evolve, but he isn’t sure if he is going to be less dizzy when evolved. To be safe for now, he has to put it on hold for now. Rain meanwhile is something he is pretty used, being from England, but he didn’t expect rain to show up early on.

“Oh wow, I didn’t expect rain to come on my first day in Jotho so soon,” he admits when a idea comes along, “Oh wait, I do have a Fire Stone I got for Godric from Hisui. I’m not sure if we can ride on him once he evolves, but it could be the best way to get to Cherrygrove in this kind of weather.”

Radley perks up. "That's a great idea! They're definitely big enough to ride on when they evolve, and maybe that would be safer than trying to fly in the rain.

... Would he want to evolve, though?"

He always worries about making sure to respect the Pokemon's wishes, and there's no way to reverse evolution if it's a decision made hastily.

“Hm, let me see if I can get him to evolve immediately,” Harry nods as he retrieves the Fire Stone and gets down his knee to speak with Godric, “Hey Godric, I have the Fire Stone I have gotten for you back in Hisui. I know that it is raining now and you’re still feeling dizzy, but evolving you could be the best option we have to get to the Cherrygrove Pokémon Centre. Do you want to evolve right now or maybe in a later date?”

Even through the dizzying spell he is struggling with, Godric realizes that evolving as soon as possible could be the best course of action to take if he doesn’t want to remain as dizzy as he is now. Plus he could become bigger and stronger to take on tougher Pokémon and protect his friends. He wouldn’t want to rush his Trainer to evolve him, but with his dizzy state and the rains, the Fire Stone could help him out right now.

“Growlithe, Growl. Growlithe,” he barks to him to say “Yes please help me evolve me, Harry. I can’t stand being dizzy forever.”

“Well, Godric said it: he wants to evolve right now since he doesn’t want to stay dizzy for the rest of the day,” Harry confirms to Radley.

"Okay," Radley smiles. "Let's hope it works...." It would be awful if dizziness persisted.

“Let’s hope for the best,” Harry nods as he brings the Fire Stone in front of Godric who is panting his tongue while trying to fight back the dizziness.

As soon as Harry places the stone in front of the Growlithe, wispy clouds emit out of the stone which then envelopes Godric. Now covered in wisps of clouds, the Puppy Pokémon begins to grow and change shape as everyone watch on amazement. By the time the light vanished, what stands before them is a now big majestic dog with charcoal gray black fur growling in pride.

Harry couldn’t believe it with his eyes, Godric has become into a majestic Hisuian Arcanine.

Radley's Eevees warble congratulations and greetings.

"Hey, congratulations," Radley smiles. "Do you feel better?"

“Arc-Arcanine! Arc!”

Godric’s smile grows ever wider in delight and he is also feeling less dizzy compared to earlier. His teammates happily cheer on for him, especially Lily who has evolved during the Hisui adventure.

“Godric, you look so amazing,” Harry tells him while petting his mane, “And I also notice that you’re not as dizzy as earlier.”

“Arcanine!!!” The Arcanine blushes in amusement.

"That's great!" Radley smiles.

Evie finds an umbrella in a corner and brings it over to him.

"Aww, thanks, Evie." Radley pets her and picks her up.

“So now that has been resolved, I actually have one more thing to deal with. I just realize that my clothes are going to make me feel out of place,” Harry points at his Hisui clothes, “Maybe I can change clothes at Cherrygrove.”

Radley smiles in gentle amusement. "Actually, almost everyone else is dressed the same way right now," he points out. "I think I'm about the only one who insisted on repairing my original clothes." Hisui had taken so much from him; he had refused to let it have his clothes too.

“Yeah, it appears that almost everyone had dressed in similar ways from Hisui right now,” Harry also takes note as he sees more people trying to leave the house.

Then just as Harry could say something else, Violet could hear another voice as well. It sounds rather feminine that she alerts her team that somebody is coming to the bathroom.

“Hello, I heard voices coming from the bathroom right now,” the female voice rings out.

“Who is that person calling from outside?”

Radley blinks in surprise at the new voice. "Hello?" he calls back.

As it turns, the woman who owns the house is no other than Mom who is waiting patiently for Harry to get his backpack from.

“Well there, young man,” she is addressing to Harry in particular, “It looks like you need to get going in your adventure real soon. I have your backpack packed up for this occasion. I do apologize for not foreseeing people arriving in here and feeling cramped right now.”

She brings up the backpack in question up to his face so he can see better.

Radley chuckles. He wonders if Mom remembers that she has sent all of these people on their journeys, including him, but he's not sure he wants to ask. Things could get even stranger.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I wasn't planning to show up here myself. I'll be getting out of your hair."

“Um, okay, if you say, Mum,” Harry awkwardly admits as he receives the backpack from Mom with his Pokémon right behind him, “I guess that it is time for me to leave right away with Radley and his Pokémon.”

Everyone is feeling like space is getting limited, so he feels like now is the right time to leave. He doesn’t want the next person to arrive to feel super cramped with him taking up some space, especially with Godric now being an Arcanine.

The Rowlet flies on top of his head for now to save space while Violet hops onto Godric’s back. Lily checks to see if her teammates are going to be okay to which she hoots that they’re ready to head out of Mom’s House.

"Oh good. Be careful in this rain!" Mom says.

Radley smiles. "Bye." He opens the umbrella and steps outside with his Pokemon. He never makes them go into their Pokeballs, but he asks if they'd like to in order to escape the rain. They all want to stay out and be with him.

The rain greets Harry and his team as they leave the house and head for Cherrygrove City. While water is technically not great for Fire and Rock types, Godric is not too bothered by it at the moment: he is just more concerned of taking his teammates to something where they won’t get soaked. Lily joins Godric and Violet as she lands on his back for the trip.

“Row-let!” the Rowlet chirps as his Trainer slips on his backpack, all while not seemingly having no idea of what to name him right now.

“Okay, I guess we’ll need to get to Cherrygrove before the rain gets harder,” Harry speaks up.

Radley holds up the umbrella over them as they climb on, while holding many Pokemon in his other arm.

"Yeah, we'd sure better. And then you'd better stay at the Center until the storm stops."

“I agree, it is for the best with this kind of weather we are having today,” Harry agrees with him as he gets onto his Hisuian Arcanine’s back, “I do hope that it will lighten up real soon.”

“Arcanine, nine!” Godric chimes in, “Nine!”

“Alright, Godric. We’re all ready now. Let’s get to Cherrygrove right away,” Harry tells him as soon as everyone gets settled down.

Radley braces himself and his Pokemon for the ride. They all hug him and Evie's tail is vigorously wagging. She loves today! She's with Radley, and new friends, and they're doing something new!

Radley chuckles. "Evie acts like a cross between a dog and a cat."
