New Bark Town Mingle Log

There was some interest expressed in doing a New Bark Town mingle log, so I'm throwing this up here for anyone who wants to do it:

Who: Anyone who wants to!

Where: Mom's House, New Bark Town

When: August 14th

Summary: There is a huge group at Mom's! What are they doing?

Rating: Probably no higher than PG

Radley looks up from reuniting with most of his Pokemon to see that everyone else is doing the same ... mostly. Although there are some very strange things going on. It sounds like someone is in the closet. Someone else is yelling for help getting off the ... fridge? And it's wall to wall people everywhere.

"Oh boy...."

He gets up and looks for both a way out of here and a path to whoever needs help. His Pokemon warble and follow him, or rather, all he can't carry follows him. Cosmo the Ralts stays clinging to his neck. She was already extremely shy and reluctant to let go of Radley before all this happened. She may never let go of him now....

He quietly nods as he watches Luisa’s Pokémon making their way onto the other side of the door as safely as they can. Luckily for him right now, his Pokémon is on the smaller side for now: Lily being his first Pokémon may be bigger but she is still smaller than her eventual final evolution.

Godric happily pants his tongue with his tail wagging about, happily marveling the size of many of her Pokémon as they exit through the door. Harry then scoops him and Violet up with his arms from the floor and hugs the two of them tightly as they wait patiently.

Luisa helps the ones that have the most trouble fitting through the door, but eventually all her group are able to make it outside. Blowing out a breath, she smiles and motions to Harry.

"Finally got everyone out. Sorry about that."

“That’s alright. At least they are now able to move out of the room safely, nobody likes getting stuck in between the door,” Harry reassures her as he leads his team out of the room and onto the other side of the door with Rowan and Lily flying right behind him and the rest of their team.

"Yeah. It doesn't help that a lot of my guys are pretty big too." She definitely knows that feeling, too.

“Honestly, I would have felt the same thing too if all of my Pokémon are in that size too. My starter Pokémon for exqmple may not been able to get through the door easily if she had evolved while we’re in Hisui,” Harry admits to her as he gazes back at Lily who is in normal size for a Dartrix at the moment.

"Oh really?" She actually didn't know much about that kind of Pokemon. "This is actually the first time I've seen one of these. Does their evolved form get really big?"

“Well, I think so. I might need to get her levels up so I can see it in the near future,” Harry admits to her, “She was small when she was a Rowlet that she would sometimes sit on my head, but now she is too big to do that now.”

"Aww, that's cute. She does look a bit big for that now, though." Luisa remembers when some of her own Pokemon were small enough to ride on her shoulders, but most of them are too big for that as well. "But it looks like she's pretty strong."

“Yep, that is what happens when she managed to evolve from trying to fend off some tough wild Pokémon while in Hisui,” Harry admits to her, “Maybe her final evolution could be as strong as her current form too.”

"Oh, she had evolved to protect you? That's sweet. I'm sure she'll be even stronger in her final evolution."

“Oh gee, thank you so much,” he happily accepts it on Lily’s behalf, “She did everything she could to make sure me and the rest of my team didn’t get hurt in the process. I’m definitely looking forward to see what her final evolution would look like.”

"Yeah, they're really good at that." Luisa's Hisuian Arcanine, Mullido, comes up behind her, and she reaches over to scratch under his chin. "Once you're able to bond with them, they can be pretty protective and really loyal."

“That is good to hear. I have been working to get to know them more and befriend them as much as I can, and as I soon found out, they also want to be a good friend to me too,” Harry agrees with Luisa.

“Oh by the way. It sounds like you’re very familiar with the Pokémon yourself. Have you been in this world for a while now?”

"Oh yeah, uh...I've been here for a few months, so I've read up on some things about the Pokemon here." She shrugs a little. "Sometimes there's not much to do during the downtime when you're traveling, so between that and training my Pokemon I like to read a bit about them."

“Oh travelling around the region does get very hectic at times?” Harry curiously asks Luisa, bringing back memories of him, Ron, and Hermione on the run from the Death Eaters in his world.

And now that he thinks about it, maybe he should have taken up other hobbies and activities too since he was so focused on dealing with so many things back home that he has very little time to have some time for himself.

"It can, depending on the terrain and the weather. But sometimes it's not so bad. And once you're settling down for the day, it can be pretty quiet, so having something to do is nice too."

“Oh gee, thanks. That is a really lovely thought to think about. If I wasn’t doing anything busy, some of my team do want to play with me quite a lot. It happened quite a lot back in Hisui.”

"Aww, that's really nice. Playing with your Pokemon is just as important as training them."

[phoenixwiz]

“Yeah, I agree with you, Miss. I don’t want to overwork my team too hard that they can’t have enough time to rest. You know, finding a good balance of training and playing while going around the region,” Harry tells Luisa, “That’s why I try to look after my team’s well being as much as I can.”

"Yeah. I mean, that's all we can really do for them, right? Just try to look out and take care of them as best as we can."

“Yeah exactly, oh by the way, I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Harry, Harry Potter. Nice to meet you and your team.”

"Nice to meet you guys too. I'm Luisa Madrigal."

“Yep, same here. Your name sounds really beautiful, I got to admit.”

She smiles, a bit shyly. "Oh, thank you."
