50th Recipe [Text, Goldenrod City]

So, first of all, I want to emphasize how grateful I am to be back in a time and place with hot showers, and wish everyone luck in that upcoming tournament thing - it looks intriguing, but it's a bit too close to the baking busy season for me to give it
a serious entry. Yes, there is a baking busy season, it is a real thing and I take it very seriously, and if I'm going to be selling at the Goldenrod Market this year, I need to plan accordingly.

But in preparing for that, I came to think about the prevalent flavors of the encroaching season...namely, pumpkin spice. I don't dislike it myself, but I don't know if it really deserves all the hype it gets? You know, the...very oddly dedicated fanbase who line up at Starmiebucks from the moment the menu updates for the largest drink sizes of pumpkin spice whatever they can obtain? Or when Christmas comes around, everything gets flooded with peppermint - again, it isn't something I dislike, but why is it the prime holiday flavor when there's so many others?

I suppose I'm just wondering if there are flavors people like that come out around autumn and winter that don't get as much appreciation that people would want to see more of. There's apples, of course, and caramel, but what else? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Aah, I see.

[She doesn't really, but like. Considering her own world has so much weird stuff, and there's always weird things happening here, Jane would be quite remiss to deny that weird stuff couldn't be happening in other worlds, too.]

I haven't heard of any living creatures following someone from their home, so we should be fine.

That's good to hear, then. It also means we won't get trolls, either. They're quite belligerent, if a bit lacking in the intelligence department.

...Well...you aren't wrong in a sense. If a Troll did come here, they would become a human like everyone else - likely to keep them from being mistaken for Pokemon themselves.

[Luna stared at that for a moment. Why would a troll be made into a human here? They were kind of between humans and creatures somewhere in regards to-... wait.

Luna remembered that there were people here from different worlds. Perhaps this person had a different kind of troll where they were from. She looked the reply over again and noticed the capitalization.]

It seems we might have different kinds of trolls in our different worlds. Ours are a little bit more like creatures than humans.

Though, considering the look of some Pokémon, perhaps ones from my world might be mistaken that way, too. But I doubt they'd be made human on arrival.

Oh, that could make sense! They're an alien species where I'm from, and though they're quite a lot like humans to begin with, they still have distinct differences that the natives here would find them confusing. But when they have come here, they've all become humans - I've seen it myself!

Still...I don't know. It might be a relative intelligence sort of thing - the transforming into humans when brought here, I mean.

Oh, yes. That does seem like it would make sense, then. I have noticed that I don't have access to my magic here, so I suppose that means that I've been made "normal" as well? I have heard that about robots or other beings becoming human on arrival.

It does seem that creatures with more animal level intelligence don't seem to be here, though. Like I've not seen any wrackspurts.
