[That grin is infuriatingly charming as always, especially when he's trying to be upset. At least a little bit, anyway. So Lorenz leans down to kiss him and then promptly slouch over him so he can hide his face against Claude's shoulder, half in his hair, half against his neck. Certainly close enough that he'll be able to feel the heat coming off Lorenz' face.]

Do you recall when I mentioned... ah-

[He struggles for a moment, glances up to make sure the door is shut even though he did just close it.]

[Claude cocks an eyebrow.] You've mentioned a couple to me, actually. But I'm guessing you're not referring to the one about me, or you wouldn't sound so embarrassed while draped across my shoulders like a cape...

So which one do you mean?

[Lorenz muffles an indignant shriek against Claude's shoulder, face turning scarlet and a retaliatory nip to his throat. Then he finally shoves off of Claude to pace around the room behind him, one hand over his face.]

I've only said anything about one other person!!!

[Yeah he hasn't talked about Sylvain but he's certainly made eyes at him occasionally.]

Well, there was your crush on me. [Claude grins.] And Dedue. Though I thought there was something about Ferdinand, too...and while I don't know if it goes all the way back to school, let's just say that when I see you around Dimitri and Sylvain now -

[Oh, lord, Lorenz, stop him, Claude is too observant and he can't be permitted to continue if you want any secrets left.]

Enough! I... was referring to Dedue, you infuriating man.

[He gives Claude a very grudging kiss but it is entirely a bribe to keep him from running his mouth again the moment he removes his hand.]

[Claude laughs beneath that hand, giving Lorenz a bright look over it. He accepts the kiss as the warning it is.]

Okay, okay, so we're just talking about Dedue. [You can almost hear the 'for now' in the air, but Claude leaves it mercifully unsaid.] So, what about him?

Well... I do not expect anything to come of it, mind you, but I... [He sighs a little, giving Claude a sheepish sort of look, weak and helpless.] I think I must tell him that I have feelings for him.

[Lorenz leans against the other man, trying not to be anxious. He knows this isn't the part to be nervous about. Claude is likely just going to laugh at him for how hard he protested before.]

After a point it feels... too much like lying to keep such things quiet. At least with the... nature of everyone's relationships here.

[Claude does chuckle, but it's not as teasing as Lorenz might have expected. Instead he lifts a hand to gently comb fingers through Lorenz's hair.] Honestly, I think that's for the best. You already hold in so much as it is, and your attraction to Dedue is...well, it's a lot. [He grins, a little impishly.] Trying to hold all that in might just make you explode.

I honestly can't even gauge how he'll react; he's always been a tough guy to read. So while I'd like to reassure you it'll go well, the truth is I've got no idea and I don't want to lie to you, either. But I'll say this much - you're a catch, Lorenz. [And he takes one of Lorenz's hands and kisses the back of it.] If Dedue's not interested, that's his loss.

Anything you need from me, other than my approval for your pursuing this? I'll help if I can. [He grins at Lorenz.] You could try out your confession to him on me, if a trial run will help.

[Lorenz melts into the casual little touches Khalid offers him, nerves soothed by the other's affections. He smiles softly, blushing and leaning down to kiss Khalid softly.]

He would have good reason to be wary of me, given my history and, more importantly, his. But... I do hope that we've come past that.

[That grin of his gets a grudging laugh though and a dramatic disapproving glare]

We both know that I'd be twice as flustered practicing such a thing with you and that you would not be able to help yourself making it worse. Hush. I do intend to speak with Dimitri before I approach Dedue, however. I wish to know if he and Dedue may have had any discussions that would mean any outside advances might be poorly received. I do not wish to overstep.
