[Boober is holding one egg carefully against his chest, and carefully standing as still as he can manage. His mouth is pulled into a very nervous frown.]

Traveler and Tales have four more, too. It'd be nice if people wanted them, because five is a lot to take care of... More than I can do. So if anyone wants to buy one for 300P, just tell me. Traveler is my Hisuian Growlithe, and Tales is a Patra-- Well, no wait, he's a Watchog now.

...About that. Evolution is kind of weird, isn't it? It's like deciding to have a birthday, but then they change how they look too, and that just happens all at once.

Mando: Outside of Mt Moon
[Boober can't avoid the training he and Mando agreed on forever, no matter how many seconds thoughts he's having. He should know how to escape from dangerous situations, after all, and it doesn't seem like Mando expects him to actually fight. Still, he's hesitant as he goes over to Mando.]

Um... I think I'm ready to learn that stuff you told me about.


Riz: Inside Mt Moon
[The amount of preparation Riz is doing for the upcoming tournament is admirable. He's even got Boober in on it, by making flashcards he can use to test Riz's knowledge-- Which Boober much rather do than help with actual practice battles. It's helping him learn more, too, which is important. He can't avoid every challenge, especially with Archie so eager to fight. So usually, Boober pays close attention during these quiz sessions, but as they walk through the caves of Mt Moon, he's very distracted. It's such a nice, homey place for a little Fraggle.]

Wait a second... Darn. [He sighs as he flips the top flashcard back over to the question side.] I read that one wrong again. It should've been the use for a charti berry, not a cheri berry. Sorry, Riz.

It's really interesting— And I'm having fun. [ like, an absurd amount of fun! counting falco has hardly had fun in his life. they were singular, short moments. both johto and kanto have given him so much more. ] Are you a Trainer, then?

Oh no, I'm a Pokemon breeder, too. But I wouldn't say I've taken to it, you know? It's kind of a lot, sometimes. [He shrugs a little.] But you know, I enjoy being here too.

It keeps you really busy.

[ but he doesn't seem to mind that as of late. anyway! ]

Is there anywhere you'd like me to pick up the egg?

Well, about that... Are you at Mt. Moon right now? It sure looks the same, wherever you are.

[There's something distinct about the area, of course, but also... Boober's a Fraggle. As a species in general, they know caves, and what might make one distinct from another.]

Oh— I am!

[ falco makes sure to turn the camera to what’s around him instead, where his pokémon play. sure enough, those are plenty of jutting rocks. ]

We’re closer than I thought! I’m . . . Midway through toward Pewter City, from what it looks like on a map.

Okay! I don't think we're that far in just yet, but if you don't mind waiting, my friends and I can catch up to you.

[It's a while before Boober is in Falco's area, and when he does he's feeling a little nervous having gone off on his own to meet up. He's called out Archie so the Volbeat's tail can offer extra light, and to ward off any attacking wild Pokemon-- And it's Archie who spots the human first, fluttering and hopping his way over with Boober hesitantly following a few feet behind.]

[ a morelull in the designated area gives off a faint, eerie little light that falco has been using for a bit more visibility. just enough! looking at phantom too much makes him sleepy, and the newly caught fairy type is shy and distant. he doesn't want to disturb more of the pokemon that linger, so it seems he's made his camp base here for quite a while, only now putting everything away. rolling up his sleeping bag is what he's doing when the flickering rays of a volbeat approach. courage, falco's nidorino spots the newcomers by the sound of beating insect wings first, and charges about halfway through the distance that was left before halting and dipping his head down to expose his horn with warning. can't be too careful with wild pokemon!

falco himself gasps and freezes as he's putting away his things— but quickly realizes . . . ]

Is that Boober—?
