Hello. [Luna smiled at the camera.] My name is Luna.

Has everyone received one of these? [She held up the lovely decorated invitation to the Halloween contest.] I was curious if anyone has done of these before. It looks like wonderful fun.

I was thinking of attending, but I'm having a bit of trouble deciding on a story to tell. Would anyone be willing to listen to a few of my ideas and give me some feedback?

I love dressing up, too, so I'm quite excited to create my costume depending on which story I pick. Though, I've never made a costume in the muggle way before. Would anyone have tips on how to make one?

Luna hi! I actually got one of the invitations with me too.

(Violet, who is a few moments ago did evolve into Espeon, could seen relaxing on his lap after the whole team had a long practice session. The willowy tail of hers swishes elegantly as she cranes her head to see the blond Ravenclaw better while Harry brought out the invitation as proof.)

While I can’t join the story telling this year, I’m always here to listen to whatever ideas you have at the moment. Maybe there is one you’ll get to use for the Halloween party.

So, you won't be joining the contest, then?

Sadly yes, I don’t think that I was able to come up with a good story to tell in time for the Halloween party. Also, I can’t use my Houndoom for it too, because we can’t use Ghost and Dark type Pokémon.

(Violet happily warbles in greeting Luna. Her red gem on her forehead shines brilliantly against the light. And he is still trying to get Sirius the Houndoom to behave himself and not be a pain to train with.)

[Luna looked curious for a moment, then looked back at the invite.]

I thought it was just Ghost and Dark type moves. But, if they can learn other moves, then Ghost and Dark type Pokémon should be fine, yes?

Hold on a second, I will recheck the invitation so I didn’t misremember things.

(Harry was sleepy when he got the invite so his memory was a bit foggy at the time. A few seconds of second readings later.)

Okay, so as it turns out, Ghost and Dark Pokémon are okay to use, but not Ghost and Dark moves. As long as they have other moves o use, they should be fine. Maybe Sirius, my Houndoom, could shoot flames if I have decided to join.

You named him Sirius? [That got a smile.] That's a good name. [She was very aware of the meaning behind that.]

Yes, yes I did. Probably the best fitting I can give to him, after all he (the human Sirius) did used to turn into a black dog in the past.

I do like Houndooms, too. They're cute in their own unique way.

I imagine that Houndoom is important to you to give him such an important name.

Oh, they do have quite an unique charm to themselves. I do wish that some people may give them a chance and consider befriending one at some point.

I agree, that would make great sense to have one named after Sirius at some point. A part of me still misses him a lot.

(He is just nervous to say to her that said Houndoom is acting like a hardheaded child to him.)

I've been thinking about that. I'm a breeder here, so I was thinking of advocating for some of the less traditionally cute Pokémon to get homes. What do you think?

That sounds like a very brilliant idea, Luna. I don’t see that many people breeding many not typically cute Pokémon around here. So maybe you can fill in that niche very well.

They deserve homes and trainer companions just as much as the traditionally cute ones, so it feels appropriate. I do have a bit of a rapport with animals, I think, and I'd been considering looking into a career in magizoology. I suppose it would be similar to being a breeder here, yes?

Yeah, it does have some similarities to magizoology. I mean, I assume that breeders would look into the Pokémon they’re looking after and care for the eggs very diligently.

(Violet happily swishes her forked tail in delight by Luna’s interest in animals. She is very impressed.)

Oh, yes. According to the handbook I received on arrival, researching lineage and moves is important when it comes to hatching good Pokémon, just like one would back home with breeding animals.

[Luna gave Violet a wave and a smile.]

Oh wow, that’s great to hear. I guess that the similarities between the two aren’t too far off than they appear to be.

[Luna chuckled a bit at Violet's contributions to the conversation, even if it wasn't super understandable.]

The similarities certainly do help.

You're a trainer class, right? Which there's the badge challenge to fulfill? How have you been doing with that so far?

Yeah, that is right. I’m in the trainer class, so me and my team would take on plenty of battles along the way and raise my team well for any battles we may encounter.

As for the badge challenges, there is two, I mean, three main badge challenges to compete in. There is one here in Jotho and another one in the next door region of Kanto. Together they are collectively known as the Indigo League. And there is also another gym battle that is primarily run by other people too called the Aurora League.

Oh, I haven’t gotten around to compete in the gym battles just yet. My team is still trying to level up a bit before we could take on this region’s the gym leaders. I might take on the challenge possibly by the start of next year perhaps.

It's good to have a plan. I think that sort of thing would suit you, certainly. From how I understand it, I imagine anyone from our world that ends up here would likely end up a Trainer class if they're Gryffindor.

It does sound interesting. Perhaps, once I'm more comfortable with the idea, I'll try it myself.

[Not that she was really uncomfortable with it, but, for now, she liked the idea of breeding them and studying them, not making them fight.]

Yeah, that was what I was thinking when I came here. Gryffindor = Trainer, I could see that happening to several of our friends if they do show up to this world.

Anyway, there is no rush to get into the gym battles right now. My current plan is to do more travelling around Jotho and find more Pokémon before facing the gym leaders eventually.

Oh yes, Luna: I’ll definitely let you know if ever I need some help with breeding stuff. I’m pretty sure that every help will come in handy at any time.
