So, all during January, it seemed my eggs just weren't hatching. I've not been here long, so I wasn't sure if that was normal for the season. but then, today, several seemed to hatch at the same time that had been due quite a bit ago.

[Including her Paldea egg from Arceus. There was a very happy ghost dog behind her.]

Did anyone else have strange things happen to them last month?

The other students helped them. In fact, I don't know if you've met Hermione, but she was in the class and cast the immobilization spell, according to Neville. It stopped all the pixies from causing trouble and they were able to gather them all back into their cage.

[The professor? Ha! He ran out of the room.]

She really is quite brilliant as a witch.

Oh good. Hey, that's great! Yeah, I know her. I think a lot of her.

[Luna nodded.]

I consider her and Harry among my friends from home. They were both in the class with Neville when Professor Lockhart released the pixies. Neville said it had been quite chaotic until Hermione cast her spell.

[crystalmaster]

At least somebody knew what to do.

[looneylovegood]

Oh, yes. It's always easy to count on Hermione, though. [She smiled.] Things like that happen a lot, though, for us. Most people might think it strange, but it's just part of having a magical life.

[crystalmaster]

... Yeah, I guess it would be normal for you guys. I don't think I'd be cut out for it.

[looneylovegood]

[Luna chuckled.]

No, I suppose not everyone is.

[crystalmaster]

There's apparently some bizarre magical things going on back home. I don't know if we live in the same dimension or not, but have you ever heard of the Earthbound Immortals? They almost tore the world apart.

[looneylovegood]

Hm. No. I can't say that I have. But considering how well we've kept ourselves hidden from people in my own world, that's not to say they don't actually exist there, either. Not everyone knows about nargles and wrackspurts back home, but that doesn't mean they don't necessarily exist.

[crystalmaster]

That's a good point. These guys were known worldwide, though. They seemed to be living versions of the Nazca lines in Peru? ... I'd feel crazy saying that to most people.

Oh! Really? The Nazca lines certainly do have mystical properties where I'm from. That sounds really intriguing. I've yet to actually visit them back home, but now I'm curious. We only got a rudimentary lesson on the basics about them at Hogwarts, and some of their history. But there are some witches and wizards that have traveled to Peru to study them more deeply, as well as work with native Peruvian witches and wizards about them.

Wow, that's interesting. Maybe we do live in the same dimension, or at least similar ones. I don't know a lot of the details about those things, but they were supposedly being controlled by people thought to be dead who were revived by them to help them conquer the world or something wild like that. The lines in Peru would disappear when they found someone to revive.

Hm. That's interesting. I've not heard of the ones where I am disappearing at all. And, well, as part of the magical community, that's definitely something that would have made our news.

[crystalmaster]

Yeah, it made news all over. You're lucky to not have to deal with that craziness.

[It sounds like they have plenty of their own, though.]

I hope things have gotten better in your world!

[crystalmaster]

I think that mess got cleaned up, thankfully. But something new might have taken its place.

That always does seem to be the case, doesn't it?

[Oddly enough, Luna sounded amused.]

[crystalmaster]

It sure does. The good guys rarely seem to get a break.

[He does quirk an eyebrow at the amusement, but he assumes it's more of a dry or dark amusement rather than actually finding it funny for there to be problems.]

[Oh, it was definitely dry. Brits were champs at dry humor.]

Indeed. I do certainly hope you've gotten a break at times, though.

Sometimes. Things were looking up back home right before I was pulled here. And my Pokemon brighten everything here.

Pokémon do certainly seem to be good at that, don't they?

[crystalmaster]

They sure are.

[His Pokemon warble happily.]

[Luna giggled a bit.]

I should be going. I have some of my own to feed right now. I shall talk to you again soon.
