[Oh look, it's Allura, getting up for one of the last few days of wedding prep before Sunday--

The SCREE of the refrigerator being ripped off shocks her awake. Welp, guess she doesn't need tea this morning.]

What on Earth?!?!?!

[Oh thank everything it's Allura.]

[He whips around, looking startled, and still holding the door.]

I didn't mean to!

Shiro?! How-- [She shakes herself out of her shock.] Never mind, we need to get this closed until Hunk can look at it.

[Because a good portion of those contents include ingredients for the reception. She moves to take one side of the door, hoping Shiro will take the other.]

Coressa, Powder Snow into the refrigerator, gently! [A soft breath, and the Ninetales exhales a blast of chilly air into the fridge.] One, two... three!

I'm sorry - I was just thirsty!

[He didn't mean to break the stupid thing!]

[But he steps to take the other side with her, and on three, goes to press the door shut with her.]

[A soft sigh, probably a little harsher than she means it to be, but it's been a LONG time since she's been this stressed.]

I know, Shiro, it's all right. [She gives him a quick shoulder pat.] Now how are we going to keep this door in place?

[shiro2hero]

[He leans forward, bracing the door in place. That should do for the moment. So it doesn't, you know, fall back off.]

We could try duct tape? Until we can ask Hunk for help.

[Allura just... gives him a Look.]

Or... perhaps we have one of our sturdier Pokemon brace it.

And... just have them stand here, holding it?

[See that's where the duct tape comes in! Foolproof!]

They'll certainly last longer than duct tape, and the tape would likely get in the way of the hinges while Hunk is doing repairs.

Can you brace it if I go find Red?

Of course. [A soft sigh, and she pats Shiro on the shoulder again.] It really is all right, Shiro. We'll fix this, and then we can find a spot to help you rein in your strength.

Thanks... She shouldn't be far.

[He'll hold it up until Allura takes the door before he steps away.] Can we cut my hair too? Or is that not... allowed?

[A soft chuckle.]

Yes, it's allowed. Coran's actually came down to his shoulders when I was younger.

[He's gotten his hands tangled up in it more times than he really wants to admit. Because that's embarrassing.]

[And wait she shall for Shiro and Big Red. Really, though, his hair is lovely... and might also be gone in a day tops, but still.]

[He's back in just a few minutes, with his Incineroar flexing along behind him. Spotting Allura, she perks up, and slides over to take the fridge duty.]

[SHE IS STRONG! ALLOW HER!]

[A soft sigh as she stands.]

So... it seems a lesson in Altean strength training is in order?

I would prefer that, yeah...

[So he doesn't break anything else in the house.]

Why don't we head outside then.

[Fresh air, lots of room to work, AND fewer fragile things.]

[And he is. Trying to walk on tiptoe, even. Just in case he steps too hard on the floor.]

[I MEAN, he should be fine, but better safe than sorry. At least they make it down the stairs and onto the sand easily.]

There. It would be easier if we had the training bots, but this should do for now.

[You know. The bots in the big simulation chamber. Used for combat training. What exactly does Allura have in mind?]

I don't think we have anything like the castle bots here.

[Shiro looks around, carefully. Like maybe Allura is going to summon a Golurk or some other massive metal pokemon to help.]

[Honestly, maybe Allura should get a Golurk someday. But for the mean time, Allura picks up a few smooth stones scattered in the sand, small enough to fit in Shiro's palm.]

Here. Take one and give it a squeeze.

[He does as she says, looks down at the rock. Then at Allura.]

Is it going to turn to dust if I do...?

[That gets a strong bark of laughter out of her.]

If you manage that, I will be extremely surprised. You might break it into pieces though. Right now, we're establishing a threshold for your grip strength and working our way down.
