Oh look, these little guys don’t look too terrifying at a lot. I think that they are pretty cute for such a feisty new Pokémon species.

(Isabela is seen on the video feed as she takes a good look on a pack of strange looking plant like Pokémon with short stubby limbs and something resembling eggshells on their heads walking about terrorizing folks of Azalea Town by letting the spiciness on their leaves to get to them. Antonio the Ponyta’s whining can be hear as he stares at the ongoing chaos on the streets. How on earth is this even possible for these walking chili pepper plants to run around freely and giving people fits while Isabela has not fallen into their defense mechanisms besides being a major plant nerd? Yes, she is probably well aware of how much trouble chili peppers can be to people’s stomachs and eyes but she chooses not to disclose it just yet.

Meanwhile, the Slowpoke in Azalea are not harmed by any means by these new Pokémon and their older brethren, a group of big two headed walking chili peppers, at all. It appears that even these spicy peppers seem to respect this unspoken golden rule of not harming Slowpokes in this town. This woman is clearly too enamored by their appearance that she may not be aware of the dangers of being so close to them.)

I haven’t seen any of these guys before and, oh my goodness, aren’t they such lovely creatures. My PokéGear’s dex said that they are part Grass and part Fire type and may have roots in a region called Paldea. That’s also where Amanratha and Veria’s kin come from too. I also like to point out that Grass/Fire is not a common type combination from what I have noticed but I would love to see a pretty unique species for myself so badly that I can’t resist the opportunity to see this swarm in action today. Come to think of it, I might want to catch one of these feisty little guys for my team.

(Uh oh, Isabela please! This is a very ‘bad’ idea. Can somebody try to convince her to not catch a feisty chili pepper Pokémon in the middle of a very hot day? Spoiler alert: she is most likely going to ignore any advice or warning just to add in the grass Mon side of her team.)

[Wait, what? That was... that was so nice. Someone is saying something nice to Spicy? Spicy tilts both her heads and narrows her eyes, looking at Isabela in a new light. After a moment, she cackles again, and the gesture she makes this time is closer to a thumbs up than something nastier.]

Huh. Seems like she likes you.

[Mando is just as lost as poor Antonio.]

That's a first. She doesn't like anyone.

[Spicy scoffs. Maybe no one else has ever admired her properly, Bucket Head! Have you ever considered that?]

Um why thanks. I guess my love for plants must have won her over.

(Antonio looks on in complete utter confusion, awkwardly neighing and in a loss of words and neighs. It is simply Isabela in all her plant nerding.)

I would like to ask: Is it really hard for anyone to get her to like them?

[Mando starts to answer, but before he can, Spicy lunges down off his shoulder and makes a grab for the communicator. Mando doesn't fight her on this; he's gotten singed enough times to know when to let her have her way. Spicy snatches the communicator and dives onto the floor, where she scuttles under a nearby table and crouches with it, showing off both her heads. Look, this is her good side on her green head, and this is the red head's good side!]

[From elsewhere in the apartment:]

You'd be surprised how particular she is.

Ah, she does have some particular taste in people. I see, it must be tough to get in her good favor.

(Antonio tries to poke his head to meet Spicy and attempts to talk to her in a very friendly manner. All while trying to keep his and Isabela’s sanity in check, good heavens that he is going to be in for a wild ride.)

My, my, Spicy. Your heads look so vibrant and gorgeous.

[You know what, Mando is just going to let Spicy have the communicator for now. She's positively preening under Isabela's attention, carefully turning and angling the communicator to show off.]

Spicy, if you want to show her any of your moves, go outside.

[An excellent idea! Spicy toddles off towards the backyard, with Mando trailing behind her.]

I think she wants to show you some of what she can do. Do you have any water Pokemon? If you're going to catch one of these, I recommend having someone with water moves around.

Ah okay. I will try to see if I have someone in my team who could pull off those moves easily or I might need to catch a water type Pokémon nearby. Oh wait, I thought that Water is weak against Grass.

And yes please, I would love to see what she is capable of doing.

It's not the grass attacks you need to worry about.

[Spicy snickers to herself.]

It's the fire attacks that cause problems.

[Let Spicy demonstrate! She's outside now, and rears her red head back, pauses for dramatic effect, then blasts a fire ball across the yard. A nearby hay bale, laid out for these exact occasions, ignites, and Mando sighs.]

Ball! We've got a fire.

[A Spheal rolls in from the corner of the screen and dutifully douses the flames.]

Whoa! That is one hot fireball. Maybe even hotter than the ones Antonio might have made too.

(She then watches Ball the Spheal rolling into the screen and extinguishing the flames Spicy made. Antonio whines, wondering where could they find a water type Pokémon in such short notice.)

[Onscreen, Spicy grumps at Ball and levels a half-hearted Seed Cannon at him with her green head. The seeds bounce off Ball's blubber, and he pats them into the ground with one flipper before dutifully watering them. They're gardening!]

Hopefully Antonio doesn't fling them everywhere.

[Cackling. Yes, that is what Spicy does!]

Where are you? You should really look for some local water Pokemon before trying to catch a Scovillain.

Oh don’t worry. He is quite careful not to fling them everywhere on a whim. Antonio is very cautious in handling many of his fire moves since they can spread pretty quickly.

Right now, I’m in Azalea Town. I could try to get a Slowpoke in here but the locals wouldn’t like the idea of someone catching one within their area.

Yes, I've heard they find it offensive to catch their Slowpokes.

Although if you went just outside of town, you might be able to find one there. And then the locals wouldn't notice.

[Spicy nods encouragingly. Yes, do that! Fight the power!]

Ah I see. There is probably a couple of them living a few miles away from the town area. I have spotted a few of them not far from the town outskirts early this morning, I will try to see if I can get Carmen to help me in catching one there.

(Carmen then pops out of her Pokéball upon hearing her name, ready to assist her in catching a water type Pokémon soon.)

Roselia. Lia!

[Mando nods at Carmen when she makes her appearance.]

That'll be a good one for catching a water type.

Just be careful when you go after a Scovillain. You don't want to get burned.

Rose-lia, Lia. Rose.

(Thanks Mando, Carmen approves of your thoughts on her being capable of catching a Scorvillian (or maybe their little counterpart, whichever works). She shall do her best.)

Thanks for the heads up. Me and my team will be take extra precaution while we try to get a Scorvillian.

I certainly will, Sir. Me and Carmen will make sure to get one as safely as we can and be careful with their moves. Alright Carmen, let’s get ourselves a Slowpoke and hope for the best that we can get a Scorvillain into the team.
