Hey look! I found Ginny’s brethren here at the beach in Olivine.

(There are plenty of light blue dolphins squeaking in sync along with Ginny as they happily play in the water on the shores of a beach in Olivine City. Remus stares down at the water in horror while whimpering in fear. When one is a Rock type and is very weak to Water, can you blame him for being super fearful of the sea?

Olive, Cho, Arthur and Joey don’t seem too much as they join their Finizen teammate and her kind for fun in the water. Molly and Roger meanwhile are surfing on the waves like you do, hanging loose on tail and surfboard respectively. But Remus is too nervous to join his friends for some good watery fun though despite their well-meaning attempts of begging him to play with them.

Harry then turns the camera and one can see that he is in a rash guard and board shorts since he was going to swim in the water. Plus his hair is wet and drenched from all that swimming.)

I didn’t think that I could be able to find this many Finizen until now, but at least Gin’s happy to find more of her kind here. Although I did noticed that some of them have pink hearts on their chest. That is a big mystery I would like to learn more soon. Has anyone else found any Finizen swimming in bodies of water in your area too? Including the ones with pink hearts on their chest?

[Although the restaurant isn't that far away, Keldor still stops so he can watch the feed, so as to hopefully get an idea of who it is Harry is addressing.

It looks like some kind of small animal, but he's having trouble identifying what kind it is.]

Unfortunately Remus’ kind is a wholly Rock type Pokémon. That means he is very weak to Water, that explains why he is very much afraid of it even if I try to calm him down so I can give him baths.

Is enticing him into the water intended to help him overcome this fear?

[Now that he's got a better look, he can see that it is, indeed, a Rockruff and thus is one dog who very much dislikes the water. He understands. He caught one of these early on in his journey, and she had a habit of giving even tiny, mostly evaporated puddles a wide berth.]

In a way, yes. But no matter how hard me and some of the others try to, Remus still gets very skittish with water. I think that I might be doing something wrong in handling it.

(Sure, Horace and Godric are also Rock types and thus are weak to water but their reactions to it seem to be very mild compared to those of Remus. Harry is fully aware that his methods in getting him to like it aren’t working out as intended.)

Could it be that by enticing him, you are causing him to focus on that which frightens him, and thus gives him more cause to be afraid?

Yeah it could be the case. Maybe I should go easy on him on slowly letting it go and allow him to outgrow in a slow but steady manner? From the looks of it, he doesn’t seem to be ready for any swims right now.

[Restaurant sounds now. Tinkling door bell. Someone asking how many seats. Keldor informing that he's here for takeout. Same person offering the menu to see what's available to order.]

It is easier on someone when they feel less pressure to engage in an activity they find unpleasant; to decide when the time is right to partake.

[Scanning the menu to find the spiciest thing on it for his Scyther...]

Hm. You definitely have a point there. I should probably start telling the rest of my team to not pressure him into going into swimming in the water immediately. Perhaps it will lessen his anxiousness over water and let him decide for himself.

That would be most wise, yes. He will feel much better that way.

Oh gee thanks. I do hope that everyone in the team will go easy on him and not nag him to go into the water with them all the time. I’m certain that they will understand very dearly.
