Seventh Spell (Finizen Season, video (8/18))
Hey look! I found Ginny’s brethren here at the beach in Olivine.
(There are plenty of light blue dolphins squeaking in sync along with Ginny as they happily play in the water on the shores of a beach in Olivine City. Remus stares down at the water in horror while whimpering in fear. When one is a Rock type and is very weak to Water, can you blame him for being super fearful of the sea?
Olive, Cho, Arthur and Joey don’t seem too much as they join their Finizen teammate and her kind for fun in the water. Molly and Roger meanwhile are surfing on the waves like you do, hanging loose on tail and surfboard respectively. But Remus is too nervous to join his friends for some good watery fun though despite their well-meaning attempts of begging him to play with them.
Harry then turns the camera and one can see that he is in a rash guard and board shorts since he was going to swim in the water. Plus his hair is wet and drenched from all that swimming.)
I didn’t think that I could be able to find this many Finizen until now, but at least Gin’s happy to find more of her kind here. Although I did noticed that some of them have pink hearts on their chest. That is a big mystery I would like to learn more soon. Has anyone else found any Finizen swimming in bodies of water in your area too? Including the ones with pink hearts on their chest?

Just as his order is completed and several large bags bearing the Every Wich Way logo are handed over, the pokegear beeps, indicating that somebody is transmitting on the network, but he can't check to see who it is until some juggling of his purchases is done to free up a hand.
Ah. He knows this person.]
I believe I have seen some playing about in one of the ponds on my way here.
[A pause. More juggling.]
They are imports from this Paldean region, yes?

(The Finizens and Ginny squeak greet happily at Kedlor as they appear on the screen, waving their fins and splashing on the water. Remus panics as he hides behind Harry’s legs out of fear. The poor Rockruff is having a really rough day at the beach.)

[Yeah. Eternia seems to be lacking in the dolphin department. They are rather cute, though.]
I have not seen such a creature before. Are all dolphins like these?
[Oh no. They come in many kinds, Keldor.]
no subject
Actually, there are different species of dolphins in my world but I don’t think that I will be able to list them all.
no subject
It's that kind of world, Keldor.]
I suppose I should only imagine that there are many kinds of these "dolphins" back where you came from.
[And yet, only one dolphin here, and it only took nine generations to get one.]
no subject
And yes, picturing dolphin species in the mind definitely works.

[Short answer? The creators are also from Earth. Natural bias.
Ah. The Smoliv Garden sign is just now coming into view. Another couple of blocks to go.]

[Indeed, despite the relative clear view of the water, the noise of the surrounding crowd is omnipresent. When one of the dolphins jumps in the air, it grows almost deafening.]
I've not seen any hearts, personally, but then again my binoculars are not particularly powerful. I'll try to pay closer attention to their chests.
no subject
Oh wow! So there are plenty of them spotted near Cycling Road. That’s really great to hear. I thought for a moment that Olivine’s beaches were the only places that they’re seen.
Well, that’s good to hear and know. It always helps to check again just to be sure. I’m still trying to find out what the hearts on the chest are for.
(Harry has no idea that this is a feature in Ginny’s later evolution just yet. Remus’ whimpers can still be heard despite the Finizen’s high pitch squeaks.)
no subject
[The next dolphin that comes out of the water does appear to have a pinkish spot on its chest. The Pokégear centers on it immediately.]
no subject
(Cue seeing a Finizen with the pink heart, and Harry gets even more intrigued.)
Oh hey, I think that your PokéGear has found one right now.
no subject
[Something jostles the video feed slightly. The throng of people trying to get a better view, perhaps.]
no subject
(Harry soon hears the crowds gathering around the area of Cycling Road to see what the commotion is about. Remus’ ears perked that he starts to bark out of curiosity and concern.)
Whoa! What’s going on in the background? Is there something else happening at Cycling Road?

...It's been strange to see something this similar to dolphins, but I think it hits harder with a full pod now. They were local to where I lived, before...
[His gear turns a bit- hi, Pequin the Skeledirge!] ...Well. So were alligators, but the pokemon similar to those are such different colors, shapes, sizes...
no subject
Oh. So alligators and dolphins are native to the place you’re from? That is pretty neat to hear. I haven’t found that much luck in finding Pokémon with similarities to animals native to the UK so far. But there was a pack of pesky squirrels I once had to deal early on in my journey: sneaky little creatures, aren’t they?
no subject
Yeah- I was from Florida; lots of reptiles, like snakes, lizards...it was a warm climate after all. But the ocean had plenty too!
[He has to snort though.] I never really dealt with squirrels though....
no subject
Never been to Florida myself but I might consider going there someday, and look for the reptiles and dolphins too. I really need to explore the world and find plenty of new things more often in my world.
Oh well, there are tons of squirrels in the UK to be found, and they do come in grey and red. Clever and sneaky little rodents, and they can cause some chaos whenever they want to.
no subject
Aha....definitely be careful where and when in Florida, because the storms can get pretty intense...
[Putting it lightly.] Huh...I've only seen the ones here but....haha. That sounds right.
no subject
Yeah, that is definitely correct. I had to deal with them trying to steal food from me and my team sometimes. Somehow we didn’t lose that many berries whenever we encounter them.

[And then real life often tends to get in the way, as is its wont, and makes people miserable, but hey! At least that makes the joy more noticeable. Dimitri decides not to bring this up in conversation, however. He knows he's a miserable bastard deep in his heart sometimes.]
Perhaps since they've visited now, they will visit again to see her. They know where Olivine lays, after all.
no subject
Wow, that is pretty brilliant, Dimitri. Ginny is going to be very happy to get frequent visits from them now. I do know that dolphins are among the smartest animals on Earth so I’m pretty amazed that the Finizens are just as intelligent as their dolphin counterparts.
no subject
[Faerghus may not be landlocked, exactly, but boy is that kind of sea life not exactly common in their colder waters, and, well, it's not like Dimitri has had to think about the sea anyway.]
[Maybe one day Faerghus will catch up with public education and the like.]
But it seems that all of the creatures here are intelligent in some capacity. They would not be able to follow our instructions in battle otherwise.
no subject
I don’t know if animals in any other world could do something similar to our Pokémon.
