Recently? Pssh, too bad! Because the network is being gifted with Mettaton's beautiful face right now, and boy does he ever look excited!]

Greetings from Goldenrod, my beauties!! Notice anything different about me~?

[As soon as he asks this, he makes a gesture at his face. How very subtle, but at least it isn't outright pointing. Not that he has to, because right above his left eyebrow is a fancy new horizontal barbell piercing!

In addition, he seems to have gotten a portion of his bangs dyed deep pink. It's only a stripe from the inside, contrasting with his new piercing.]

Lovely, isn't it~? But of course I wouldn't be showing off such minor changes to my already fabulous appearance without also showing of something a little more daring!!!

[Mettaton then sticks his tongue out, revealing a tongue piercing. Seriously, you can find anyone in Goldenrod to do something for you, can't you?]

Anyway, what do you all think? I value all opinions!! Though let's be honest, we all know I look good, right~?

Closed to Napstablook

[After all of the excitement with Team Skull, Mettaton was ready to settle down, and he was sure that Napstablook was as well. So he decided he was going to rent a house and they could spend November sorting out Blooky’s human situation.

Besides, his cousin could use some good clothes, and so could he.

So once they’d had a few days to settle into their new (temporary) home, Mettaton had convinced Blooky to go shopping with him. It would be fine! Besides, they needed new clothes—definitely had to establish themselves as a trainer and all! Or at least establish themselves as someone with good taste.

It’s Mettaton’s job to assure that his cousin looks good, right?

Once they arrive at the department store, Mettaton has a good look around, hands on his hips.]

It’s nice not being in a small podunk town, isn’t it Blooky~? We can do some real shopping here!!

[Napstablook has sort of nested inside their new, temporary home. It was actually a pretty cozy place - warming and less beat-up looking than their own house. Ever since they've been human, Napstablook has been gaining and appreciation for comfort. Things like soft beds and warm rooms.

It would be fairly easy for Napstablook to fall back into their old, shut-in habits. But their cousin seemed to have other ideas.

And that includes taking them to the biggest department store they've seen. Seriously, it's a little overwhelming. It was everything they could ever need - shirts, pants, shoes, even... what were they selling in those tiny bottles over there? It was far different from anything they could ever find back home. ]

[Lackluster description aside, Napstablook does look a bit like a kid in a candy store.]

i don't think i've seen so many clothes in one place... i didn't know humans even needed that many clothes...

um... where do we start? there's a lot to look at

[Their cousin is the more fashion-minded one, and that was even before he became a robot. They'll let him take the lead, at least until they can start exploring different looks for themselves.]

[Mettaton knows Napstablook enough that the lackluster responses don't necessarily mean they don't want to be here. He intends to encourage positive emotions out of Blooky!]

You'll find that humans are creatures of variety! They like having lots of clothing options because it's human nature to seek out their own style! Now it'll be your turn, Blooky! You can figure out what kind of clothes suit you!

[So saying, he takes his cousin's hand and leads him to the first clothing store down the line.]

[Well! It had been an undertaking, going to fetch Napstablook and then making his way up to Goldenrod, only to realize that there were some hooligans raising all types of hell. After the excitement had died down though, Mettaton was happy to be back on track with his trip.

...Sort of. He'd decided to stay in Goldenrod for a while, in order to accommodate Napstablook and allow them to learn more about being human, in a simple and more controlled environment. His needs simply had to be put to the side.

Oh, but since they were in Goldenrod now, it was only right to go about taking care of a certain business with a certain ex-monster he knew.

After all, he'd promised it was his treat~

So, after communicating with Papyrus briefly, he'd set up a little date for them to get their hair done in the department store. Now he's just playing the waiting game, just outside the store and, for once, not wearing his signature gloves. Instead, he's idly filing his nails--all this upkeep, really! Being human is tough!]

[Papyrus was nervous. Sure, he put on a front of confidence, but, he was petrified of rejection by his crush, with the possibility of his hair getting ruined in the back of his mind as well. He liked the addition, and would hate to lose it. He did himself no favors by reading horror stories on pyelp of perms gone wrong and highlights making hair fall out. He almost called it off.

But. There he was, outside the automatic doors. He couldn't keep Mettaton waiting, and certainly didn't want to risk any good impressions he'd made all ready.]

Well thank you very much!! I think I'll stick to these for now! I've got to let the piercings heal!!

[For someone who just got stuck in two different places, he's not too put off by it--he could probably do with some more mods if he really wanted to! But subtlety is key!

It is pretty cool! It wasn't exactly the cheapest set of procedures, but I used my earnings from a long month of sales in Azalea Town! Money well spent, if I do say so myself!

I'd suggest that if you want to treat yourself, you check out the Goldenrod Department Store! They have everything there!!!
