Event: The Reveal Glass

Across the Pokémon world, characters may have spotted a falling star last night. Or at least, one would think that's what it was: a naturally occurring phenomenon, rather than a legendary artifact. Specifically, the Reveal Glass fell to earth during a fight among a group of legendaries started by the return of a long-lost family member. But it's probably best to leave them to handle all that themselves, while your characters deal with other consequences.

The Reveal Glass shattered upon impact, and the shards scattered throughout Kanto, Johto, and the Sevii Islands… And made their way into the hearts of your characters. But bleeding isn't the concern here. Instead, the impact will hit when a character first looks into any reflective service. An eerie feeling hits them as they're transported to the Mirror Dimension.

While this realm can be many different things for different characters, one thing is always true: It is a place of honesty, where true selves are revealed. Those struck by a shard will find themselves facing truths they are no longer able to hide, and now must accept. Fortunately enough, even those who haven't been struck will be able to enter the Mirror Dimension during this event via a reflective surface to offer help. By the end of the 29th, things will return to normal. Characters will be back in the usual Pokémon world and their hearts will be rid of the shards, but time is strange in the Mirror Dimension, and the experience may feel like it goes on far longer than a day. Or, maybe that's just the emotional exhaustion.

Harry didn’t have to think twice about entering the mirror dimension again as he fears that many people might be trapped in there and in need of help. By now he has entered said place earlier at least twice and he wonders what his third time in this place would be like this time.

What he was not expecting to come into is a tower in the middle of a field which looks like it had been torn apart from a castle by unknown forces. That is very peculiar: he didn’t expect to see a standalone tower in a field. Curiosity soon holds its grip on him as he carefully enters the tower and walks up the steps towards the doorway and the dirigible plum bushes on either side of the door. The plums even confuse him even more than the tower as the fruits are floating above the stems.

Does he dare to pluck one dirigible plum out in spite of what the sign’s words are trying to tell him? To be fair on his part, Harry is more interested in knowing whose mirror dimension he is in at this time so he can find the person in trouble and help them out.

The location might seem familiar if Harry had ever been to Luna's house before. But, timeline shenanigans aside, the plums are legitimate fruit, and bear a remarkable resemblance to the radish-like earrings that Luna often wore back home.

She'd since started wearing a pair that looked a lot like roseli berries in Pokémon World, but that was neither here nor there for the moment.

The plums, though, as legitimate fruit, would be able to be plucked and eaten... though one might want to be careful not to let it float away before attempting to bite it.

Ohh wait, how can he not forget about the Lovegood residence? It has been over two years since he had dropped by with Ron and Hermoine during the hunt for the Horcruxes. He had been there to visit her father and learn more about the Deathly Hallows and then there is the realization that he discovered that Luna had went missing and was trapped in Malfoy Manor.

Thankfully the initial shock did wore as the realization of whose house belongs to finally clicks into his mind. The plums sharing a resemblance to Luna’s radish earrings are unmistakeable either. Now he is trying not to attempt to steal a plum and get scolded as he proceeds to knock the door in the hopes that Luna could open the door and they could, well, have a nice chat or something to close to it.

“Um, hello? Anyone home?”

"Oh, hello, Harry!" Luna's distinctive floaty voice could be heard from the kitchen. Though, with the whole house being essentially a tower, it wasn't very large across that she would have been hard to hear anyway. "Come in. Would you like some tea?"

“Oh yes please. I would to have some tea right about now,” Harry tries to put a brave smiling front on his face as he gets inside the tower house, being mindful of the steps while he makes his way inside.

Luna gave a quick wave of her wand, and the kettle was set to boil as a few cups emerged from the cupboards.

"It's good to see you here," she said. "Though, I don't know... have you ever visited me at home before?"

He is initially very reluctant to tell her that he did visited her house and father back in their world. Harry didn’t want to lie to her so soon but he is going to keep up a brave face for her as he approaching the kitchen.

“I did visited your father at your place some time ago. I, I, I… I did noticed that you weren’t home at the time,” he replies to her in a gentle voice.

Luna sat down at the cluttered table. The whole house was rather cluttered, though it was hard to tell if that was because it was small or because there were a lot of things. Eclectic things. It certainly suited Luna's and Xenophilius's styles. There was probably some of Luna's mother's influence there, too, but she was already gone by the time Luna and Harry would have met anyway.

"Is that so?" She was visibly curious as to the circumstances that would have brought that about. She thought for a moment, trying to think of when Harry might have been able to come visit her father here when she wasn't with him. "Was that while I was being held by the Deatheaters?" She asked it lightly, in a very conversational tone that was normal for her. It was a fact that it happened, after all. No point in hiding from it.

He never thought about mentioning about the Death Eaters again. The young man has been very cautious of mentioning anything related to Voldemort (other than his actual name) or even his followers ever since he came into the world of Pokémon for the safety of his new friends. But since this is between him and Luna, he is less worried about discussing this topic at hand.

“Oh yes, it does match up with how empty your room was when I came by to visit. It wasn’t just me who came to see your father at the time: Ron and Hermione were also there too.”

"All three of you?" Luna looked concerned. While she was missing, too. "That does sound worrying. Was everything all right?"

“I did hope that things would have ended in a good note. But sadly your father, um, was forced to hand me over to the Death Eaters so he can get you back. So there were several of them coming for us then. Not sure if it is intentional or not but, oh Merlin, it was rough. I’m really sorry that it caused some friction between me and him.”

Luna looked down at the table for a moment, clearly in thought. It was quite a sticky situation, wasn't it? After all, her father was only doing what he felt he needed to do to protect Luna. He had always supported Harry, and that, unfortunately, did make him quite the target, she supposed.

After a moment, though, she nodded.

"I see," she said softly. "I understand." She gave Harry a sad smile. "It was a difficult time for all of us. The Death Eaters certainly didn't make things easy." She was quiet again for another moment before finally speaking up. "I'm sure my father just feels guilty for putting you and the others in danger for my sake." She reached out and put her hand over Harry's. "It's all right, though. The friction will likely fade with time. He still believes in you."

It was a tough place to be in for any parent to have no choice to hand over their children’s friends to horrible people but understandably Harry couldn’t blame Luna’s father for that. Rough times can make even the most loyal and kindest of people to make very questionable decisions in order to stay alive or keep their loved ones safe.

“Ah okay. That is a good thing to hear. They did made things very difficult for everyone back home, so your father wasn’t the only one who had to face such hard decisions. Every one of us had encountered such moments during that time. I’m pretty sure that he didn’t mean to do that to me, hopefully things will smooth over even if it is quite difficult to process.”

Luna gave Harry a small nod at his comments.

"I can see why it would be," she said. "But, you did come to my rescue. So, that certainly will say a lot back in your favor."

“Oh why thank you so much, Luna. I really don’t want to leave a friend to be stuck in a tough situation no matte how hard things can get,” he is quite humbled by her words, knowing very well that he wants to try to help out anyone even if he too has problems of his own to deal with.

"I know," she said. "That's one of the things that makes you who you are, Harry." She smiled. "It's why I believe in you. You're a great wizard, Harry, and your heart will help you defeat Voldemort."

“Yeah, it is certainly. I don’t usually get to hear of the many positive things everyone around me say of me. I’m so wrapped up in my own negative thoughts that it was difficult for me to appreciate whatever kind words or actions are being sent in my way,” he nods back in return.

With so many negative stuff happening to him often and his upbringing so harsh, there have been times where he does have his own doubts and he can so focused on these things that he is unable to see any form of kindness others are willing to show to him. The poor guy has been through a lot in life.

Luna nodded.

"It can be hard to hear and see the positive things about yourself," she said. She didn't know all of Harry's history, but a lot of people suffered from low self-esteem, even if they had a positive upbringing.

"But, I hope you're able to someday," she continued. "You deserve it."

“Yeah, I thought so as well. That is really refreshing to hear it from someone like you. I just need to believe in myself and whatever positive things people notice and see in me,” he reflects on what he and Luna have spoken so far and noticing how much he needs to work on his self esteem and self worth.

"Your friends see it in you," Luna said. "Me, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Ginny... trust in us."

He simply nods in response as he speaks, “You’re definitely right, I should have placed just as much trust in you guys more often as much as you have placed all your trust in me.”

That got a soft smile.

"And I do trust you, Harry."

She certainly did! He was a good friend and a good person. He was important to her and had always been kind. She believed in him.

“That is true, it is always good to know that very well to heart. Oh speaking of which, I was wondering about the tea right now. Nothing that having a nice warm drink couldn’t do to uplift the mood,” Harry muses on, relieved to hear from her that he never fails in being a good trusted friend that anyone dreams of having in spite of everything.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" She got up to go check on it. Silly her. She'd forgotten to set the whistle on the kettle. It had started to boil down, but there was still enough water to make two cups of tea. She carefully set everything else up, and brought the tray back to the tiny table. "There we are." She chuckled.

“Oh why thank you so much, I greatly appreciate: it is really nice to have some drinks and some company to talk with right about now,” Harry chimes as he sees Luna returning from fetching the kettles and bringing in the cups of tea to the table.
