First Report [video]
[ In one of the Paldea dorms, there is a young preteen girl sitting at a desk, having set up the device to look at her. Her expression isn't... much, and her voice sounds flat. As she begins to speak, she repeatedly taps her fingers on the desk - those who have any knowledge of morse code will understand what she's "saying" there the same things she's speaking out loud. ]
This is a distress signal, calling for Scrooge McDuck or any one of his many... many... many associates. S.O.S. Violet Sabrewing reporting. I haven't been able to deduce if this kidnapping and subsequent hideous transformation is the work of any remaining members of F.O.W.L. or one of Mister McDuck's many... many... many enemies. Regardless, I will stay in place until further information is gathered about my situation and will appreciate a rescue post-haste. My fathers know that whenever I sleep over at Webbigail's, things tend to happen, but this may too much for them to handle.
Speaking of which - Webbigail, Lena, if you're hearing this, rest assured I am currently safe, albeit possibly traumatized by my transmogrification. I look forward to seeing you both as soon as possible. Dewford, Hubert, and Llewellyn, I trust the three of you to keep those two from going into homicidal revenge mode.
[ A pause, and then she moves to grab something from beneath the table... it's an Espurr! She props it on the table.]
On a less distressing note, any ideas on how to convince my fathers to let me keep this strange magic cat would be highly appreciated. I have named him Loki, after the Norse God of trickery. Say hello, Loki.
[ Loki says nothing, and just stares into the camera. o_o ]
Once again, this is Violet Sabrewing, over and out.

Anyway, welcome to your new prison. I commend you for taking the whole thing serious, at least. Way too many people who get pulled to a different plane, get polymorphed into a human and just go 'oh well, guess I got a cute animal out of the deal'. Don't know who this-- what did you say? Fowl? is but I can't guarantee they aren't behind it. So far I haven't been able to figure out who is.
If it helps any, you aren't exactly in immediate danger. Just, you know, still broadly and existentially. But whoever is behind this seems more interested in just... keeping us trapped somewhere than actually doing anything to us.

[ She puts Loki on her lap to pet it, accidentally looking more like a stereotype villain herself. ]
I suppose there is mild flattery in being held prisoner, in that they believe if I was free, I would be a rather large thorn in their ultimate plan.
no subject
Maybe. I haven't been able to figure out exactly why some people get kidnapped and others don't. With some folks, it's definitely because they could be dangerous to someone bent on world domination. But, uh, that doesn't really go for everybody.
[Listen, Riz loves Boober. And he views Min as a sorta friend mostly. But he doesn't really see how people like them could really get in the way of someone trying to take over the world.]
no subject
And just because someone seems harmless doesn't mean they're worthless to the grand scheme of things. It could be a hostage situation, such as "if you don't do what I say, I'll harm your loved one. Until then, I'm keeping them."
no subject
Nah, I get that. But some folks here don't have anyone back in their home world that could pose a threat to someone who can kidnap folks from all sorts of world and hold them captive here. Plus, it seems like nobody knows we are here in the first place. Whoever is doing it is pulling some chronomancy bullshit to keep our disappearances hidden. My friend didn't know I was gone until she got here.

Radley laughs from behind them. He is not visible behind the Espurrs.]
Hi there. This is Elliott and Sabrina. They always get excited to meet Espurrs.

[ Loki... just stays where he is. Just continuing to o_o ]

[Radley finally manages to put the kitties on his lap so he can get on the screen too. He looks like a motorcycle punk, but he seems friendly.]
I'm Radley. I'm glad to meet you. I'm sorry you had such a jarring arrival. I know I wouldn't like being turned into something I'm not either. For some reason, anyone who isn't a human gets turned into one here. Maybe that's so they won't be mistaken for Pokemon?
[He's not sure, but it's the only explanation he's ever been able to think of.]
no subject
Now then, the word "human". Is that the term for what I am now?
no subject
Oh, of course. It's best to be prepared.
Yeah. Where I'm from, and apparently here too, humans are the dominant species. I've met quite a few who've come here from worlds where that's not the case, though.

Sure, she's the second nerd from home to show up here this year, but that's not the issue. When all is said and done, she's probably the coolest kid he knows, nerdy or otherwise-- Just in her own way.
Louie's actual problem is, somehow, even more childish.]
Well, going all these years without anyone knowing my real name was nice, but I guess that's over.
[Okay, okay, she just got here and clearly thinks this place is way more dangerous than it is. He can't fully get hung up on the name stuff! Maybe he would've been that self-centered when he last saw her, but 16 year old Louie has matured a little.
He's not always happy about it, but...]
Hey, Vi. It's Louie... Huey's here too.
Uh, look, the transformation part is weird at first, you're right. But it's not too hard to get used to. And we're not in danger. It definitely wasn't FOWL or anybody, and I mean, you know it can't be that bad when I'm not--
[He lifts his head with a tired smile... But now he sees her Espurr, which gives him quite the start]
Oh! Jeez, okay and you've got one of those!
[ She places Loki in her lap, giving Louie a contemplative stare, folding her hands as she studies him. ]
How do I know this is the real Llewllyn, and not an additional part of whatever scheme I've been thrust into?
[ Better to be safe than sorry, JWG rule number godonlyknows. ]
But can we cut a little deal? I'll answer any questions that'd prove to you it's really me, just, can you maybe... Not have the Espurr on camera?
You know I like cats, and that hasn't changed - trust me, you'll see when you meet some of my team - but those guys? Not my favorite.
no subject
[ But she'll oblige, picking Loki up and placing him on the floor and off-camera.
But you can feel him staring at you, Louie. It won't stop. Ever.
o_o ]
Fortunately, when it comes to the McDuck family, Webbigail is a fountain of knowledge that never stops running. So I've learned much from her that many other outsiders might not know about. I shall ask you three questions, and base my judgement on the collected answer.
First. What was your mother's original intended name for you?
no subject
[Okay but he does have to lighten up when she brings up Webby. He misses her.]
Mom was gonna name me Rebel. Which, I've gotta admit, I don't think is great but I still would've taken over Llewellyn.

Hi, um...so you're a friend of Louie's and Huey's?
[ Not that she knows their full names
except she does now, sorry, Louie, but she knows they're related to a McDuck, even if that was it's own weird complication. ]I know it's a lot to take in when you first arrive, but...you're not in any real danger. Unless you run into an unfriendly wild Pokemon, but that's what your partner Pokemon is for.

Now, let's get some misconceptions- understandable under the circumstances, of course -cleared up.]
Violet! Huey here. [And indeed he is, seeming to be outside somewhere at the moment. As he broadcasts, a Meowth soon comes up and sniffs at the camera, which he has to hold up and out of the way.] While I guess you could call this a "kidnapping," it's not one in the traditional sense. More... "spontaneous plane shifting"?
[He settles back again, with the Meowth's ears still visible at the bottom of the screen, twitching every now and then. He holds his PokeGear with one hand and digs something out of a baggie in his pocket with the other, giving it to the Meowth; ears twitch then perk with a happy meow, followed by sounds of crunching. A treat!]
Though I haven't yet cracked the mystery of it, this world picks and chooses people from other dimensions at random and drops them here, assigning them Pokemon as partners and sending them out into the world at large, while simultaneously freezing time for them in their home dimensions. I myself can verify that, as I've been there and back again, returning here not too long ago. It's fascinating really, though...
{A small flush and a light laugh.]
I have to confess that I've put investigating that on the back burner- [Hold on, giving Meowth another treat] -and have taken to studying the Pokemon themselves, given the opportunities to do so that I wouldn't have been afforded otherwise.
That all being said, it's good to see you! Holding up okay?
no subject
I suppose it depends on your definition of "okay", though I highly doubt we have the same mindset at the moment. As relieved as I wish to be knowing that a fellow Junior Woodchuck here to help guide me through this stressful incident, I can't exactly trust the information you've divulged to me. Seeing as I am fresh from F.O.W.L. attempting to eradicate everything and anyone related to Scrooge McDuck, a familiar face doesn't mean an accurate one.
[ Eyebrow raise. ]
How can I know for a fact that you are Hubert Duck, and not taking his name as an alias while using the fact we've been transformed to slip through without a disguise?
[ If Webby could have clones, who says the others couldn't? And honestly, it's a miracle they haven't run into shapeshifters yet. It was just a matter of time, and maybe that time is now. ]
no subject
Very well! Perhaps a test of some kind?
no subject
[ It'd probably be a little more reassuring if she wasn't stroking the cat Pokemon on her lap like some kind of supervillain. ]
Are you prepared?
no subject
Hit me with your best shot!
