The hills are alive with the sound of… sneezing?

It’s almost a week into January, and trainers may have started to get nervous about the lack of Snorunts. Whether you’re excited to see them, or just want the metaphorical bomb to drop and be over with - the wait is finally done. Snorunts have started to make their way into town.

But instead of fortunes, what they have to give right now is coughs, bleary eyes, and sad little flops sideways into the snow. They’re not alone, either: every once in a while you’ll see an equally sick Glalie or Froslass. (Be careful - a sneezing Glalie is basically a wrecking ball waiting to happen, prone to launching itself backward! And if you’ve been struck by an odd spurt of bad luck, maybe you’ll be right in the way when it does…)

In cities across Johto and Kanto, and in field camps in between, Nurse Joys are scrambling to treat the miserable Ice Pokemon. But they’re direly in need of more helping hands. Will you pitch in?

(There is no fun in crossing a slippery iced up pond as Isabela has come to find out as she tries to deliver boxes of medicine, masks and blankets for the Snorunts being cared for in the Ercuteak area. She has been going back and forth between Ecruteak and Olivine for some time since the Snorunts fell ill so she has gotten very busy trying to help out as much as possible in both cities.

Normally she would have very little trouble in getting between places with her Ponyta Antonio as her ride Pokémon even in the winter time but horse hooves and ice don’t really go together so she will just walk on foot as she carries a sledge carrying the boxes of medical supplies behind her back.

Unfortunately things begin to look tough for her as soon as she steps into the ice. She has a hard time trying not to slip and fall as she tries to keep the boxes and the sledge from slipping all over the ice. This Colombian clearly has zero experience in crossing icy ponds before and it does show.)

[Radley at least has had some experience, even though the weird luck is making it rough right now. But he tries to get back up and stay up when he sees Isabela also having problems.]

Hey there. Need some help?

[He has Bella the Glaceon, who should be able to put snow on the ice to make it easier to walk on. Bella chirps, as usual trying to make a sound like "Eevee!" instead of "Glaceon!"]

Yes please! I’m really struggling trying to keep this sledge of supplies to various clinics in Ercuteak from slipping on the ice. I don’t think that I ever experienced anything like this before, trying to cross iced up bodies of water to send in medical supplies.

(She tries to get up though it is not without difficulty and tries to get the reins of the sledge back into her hands. Still she does her best to stay calm as she lets out a smile at Bella. Isa is hoping that she didn’t left behind any boxes by mistake as she looks around for any that she may have missed.

A part of her does wish that Luisa and Mirabel could be there to help her out and lessen the physical burden she had been carrying. The young woman is still missing her own family even after a few months have passed since the alternate worlds and wormholes incidents.

I just hope that I didn’t lost a single box from the sledge when I first slipped and fell. Things even inside boxes can get lost fairly if one isn’t being careful.

[Bella quickly puts a fresh coat of snow on the ice and Radley goes over to help Isabela up.]

I don’t see anything having fallen out….

[His Pokémon spread out to help look.]

Phew thank goodness. That is some much needed good news. So far it appears that none of the boxes have fallen off the sledge, which could be a good thing. Although it doesn’t hurt to look around a couple of times just to make sure that everything is accounted for.

(Despite the many times she had slipped and fallen onto the ice, Isabela musters all of her strength to slowly get up on her feet again as Radley helps her out. She is hoping that the supplies in the boxes haven’t been broken or gotten damaged from the slips and falls she had to go through.)

Yeah, that's a good idea.

[He's thinking they should make sure nothing's broken, but probably wait to check until they're off the ice.

The Pokemon keep looking. Evie brings back a small vial in her mouth. "Eevee-vee?"]

Hey, how did that vial of medicine managed to fall out from the rest of the supplies? I do wonder on how it managed to escape my sight moments ago.

(Isabela looks at the vial in confusion as soon as Evie returns with it in her mouth. It appears that it must have fallen out from one of the boxes when another slipping happened while she tried to grab onto the sledge reins for the fifth time.

She is hoping that it didn’t got broken upon impact during that time.)

Hey, that could be one of ours. We should probably check out our stuff and see who’s missing one.

[He also hopes it’s not broken.]

Oh right. That is also very possible too. The vials might be similar in appearance and it could be confusing to tell apart.

We should get out of the ice right away before it might be broken apart under our feet and we could tell which one is one.

[crystalmaster]

Yeah, let's get off the ice first.

[He tries to guide her to the bank, while Bella continues to make a snow path for them.]

Okay then, we should try to get the sledge out of the ice. Just be gentle everyone, the ice could crack at any moment.

(As she struggles to move properly on slippery ice and carefully takes the sledge out of danger, Isabela does all she could to remain as calm as she can and not fall or slip again. Thankfully Bella’s snow path is making things less frustrating for her and her sledge.

With no idea of who might have dropped which item, it could get very confusing at times with the bottles having similar appearance and Isa really doesn’t want to get in trouble for mixing up one thing for another by mistake.

But right now, the safety of everyone is the main priority and she wants to ensure that everyone gets out of the ice as soon as possible.)

[Radley is sure they can figure out who dropped it once they're safe and not under stress. He tries to carefully get his own supplies to the bank while watching Isabela to make sure she's managing too. His Pokemon try to help them both, and soon Radley is approaching the bank. He leaves his stuff there and turns his attention to Isabela to see if she still needs help.]

(It has been quite difficult for her to move her sledge properly on the ice without getting injured or slipping often, but after what felt like an eternity to her, Isabela was able to slowly but surely take it away from the ice and onto the safety of the ground.

However pushing it onto the ground proved to be more difficulty than she was expecting, considering the weight of the supplies and boxes have on the sledge. She will admit though that it might be partly her fault for almost overloading the sledge in the first place as a way to deliver more supplies to as many places as she can reach.)

[Radley is glad he's there to help, and he takes one side of it to help pull it safely over the ground. His Pokemon come to help too.]

Wow, you've got a lot on here.

Yes. I have placed a lot of boxes onto the sledge to bring as many supplies to the affected areas so the Nurse Joys can have a steady amount of supplies on hand.

I genuinely thought that I could try to carry this much on the sledge and safely deliver them to the clinics that way. But it does appear that I have overestimated this current situation big time.

[crystalmaster]

Yeah, all the snow and ice make it a lot harder to travel.

[Radley frowns and opens up his supplies when they're all safe on the bank to compare his bottles to this one.]

((OOC: It can be Isabela's if you want! Otherwise, it will be Radley's.))

(Isabela nods in agreement as she adjusts the sledge to make sure that the boxes don’t fall off once the transportation resumes again. She also makes a mental reminder to herself never to overload her sledge with supplies and be more careful with crossing on ice again when she goes back for another round of supply delivery.

As she is slowly recovering from the tough crossing, she does wonder if the bottle Evie found had fallen either from her or Radley’s supplies or somebody had much worse luck than they did and lost it in the process

Say: about that bottle. Got any luck in finding out if that bottle came from either of our supplies so far? I did check my sledge’s boxes again and it seems like all the supplies in there are alright and they haven’t been severely damaged yet.

It doesn't look like the kind we've been carrying.

[Radley brings it over to her.]

So it's not yours either? I wonder how long it's been sitting there....

Yeah, quite so. It sure doesn’t look like something either of us were carrying in the slightest.

And that bottle really doesn’t came from my sledge boxes so it might have been from someone else’s earlier delivery run and it could have fallen off from them before we came here.

[crystalmaster]

Huh. I wonder what we should do with it. Take it to the nearest Nurse Joy and have her see if it's even still good?

[senorita_perfecta]

Yeah, that is a good idea. We should get to a nearby clinic or to the Pokémon Center right away and take it to her. Maybe she could identify what kind of potion or elixir might be and even send it back to its original owner if it is possible.

[crystalmaster]

I think we're not too far from a Center. We can go over there.

[Bella starts trotting in that direction, tail waving.]

Alright then, let’s go! Here we go.

(Isabela also begins to head towards the direction to the Pokémon Center as well, pulling on the reins of the sledge.)

[Radley and the other Pokemon follow Isabela and Bella. Bella leads them there and then sits in front of the door with a chirp.

Radley chuckles.]

Bella knew right where it was.

Phew! Thank goodness that we made it. And a lot of time to spare to. I wonder if there are also other people who are also lining up bringing in Snorunts here. Bu even with the long lines, at least we’re doing our best to help them out.
