[VIDEO] (Action too if folks want)
[The camera opens to what may or may not be a familiar scene right now. Swathes of snow along a trail. Tall, tall trees, branches weighed down by the same. However, what may not be so typical is the large Aurorus on screen that's attached to a sled, looking concerned at his passengers. On the sled are a small mountain of boxes as well as a very annoyed looking Espurr who, while adorably bundled in a wollen hat and scarf, is covered in icicles. Behind the little Espurr is a sneezing Glalie, who is occasionally being pulled away by Jotaro so he doesn't sneeze on the boxes.]
You got the camera working? [In the background, Emporio- spotted only by the gold of his hair and the accents of red against stark white snow clothes- gives a nod. 'Lemongrass knows where to point it- go ahead,' can be faintly heard if one raises the volume. So, Jotaro speaks.]
Hey, I'm doing medicine deliveries to various cities in Johto. I needed to ask if anyone knows which cities need more medicine than others. Preferably quickly because-
Guh-Guh- GLALIE!
[Jotaro practically has to football tackle the Glalie to look the other direction to stop him from using Frost Breath on the medicine. The Glalie releases a thick gale of ice behind him, further coating the ground in snow.]
... Because Omikuji also needs some help. Good grief... apparently Pokemon can sneeze their way out of Pokeballs... [Jotaro looks utterly exhausted. Emporio, coming closer to camera range, continues for him.]
We've been focusing on runs for the pokemon between Cherrygrove and New Bark- if people handle other towns without teleports, that should help a lot, but whatever this is, it's really contagious, [the teen adds, and more white reveals itself to be a pokemon from behind him as streaks of red appear- Haema the Hisuian Zoroark wearing...some sort of mask.
There seems to be an alolan vulpix in the crook of Emporio's coat wearing a similar mask now.] Like Dr. Kujo said though, every little bit helps!

It might not be a bad idea to pass around some masks with the medications if you can- they only do so much, but it's something at least.

Anyway...]
I wonder what caused this sickness. Has anything like this happened before? [Jotaro is the newest arrival out of the three of them on this call...]
no subject
This Pokémon sickness is also as just new to me too.
no subject
[Ah, but that's beside the point.] I think it's pretty rare here, [he says to Harry.] At the very least, I think we'd have been warned about any recent pandemics like this.

So this illness is new... Strange... Hopefully it's not an omen for the year to come. [Jotaro...]

Oh phew that is some good news, I’m hearing in the news that there are plenty of people reporting that the illness, while present, is not as widespread in Ecruteak as well. I just hope that it isn’t going to linger into the next month or for the rest of the year to go downhill.

[A better question is if a handkerchief can be a handkerchief when the pokemon lacks hands.]
It's a good thing they don't seem to be feverish, honestly. Then we could have a whole new problem... ...I don't know that we should expect it to keep spreading after winter, at least. If the ice pokemon are all the ones at risk, soon enough they'll be less widespread...

At the moment I haven’t see or found any more Pokémon, let alone Ice Types, falling ill to the sickness so far. I might need to check on the news and search around Ecruteak to look into it further. Just to be on the safe side and make sure that no other Pokémon has gotten it as well.

[Oh boy, if no one stops him, Jotaro can and will talk about nothing for ages.]
Let's hope for that, Emporio. It's already bad enough it's affected the Snorunt, especially since they're everywhere.
But we can deal with a spread when it spreads. Harry, if you can ask the Nurse Joy in Ecruteak for more information, that would be great. We'll ask the one at Cherrygrove after we deliver our supplies to New Bark Town. Unfortunately, New Bark Town not having a Pokemon Centre makes things difficult.
no subject
Ah okay, that is going to be very difficult. I do recall not seeing a Pokémon Centre in New Bark when I first came there after the Hisui misadventures. Not sure why it doesn’t have one while every other town and city do though. Still it is rough not being able to get good crucial information on medical emergencies fast enough in a town as small as New Bark.

There's so few people that visiting the lab located here is just as good- but that's exactly why they aren't built to handle epidemics. Lack of teleports aside, there's just no space, it'd be like trying to set up a hospital in Whirlpool.

[Despite his expression, he's joking, Emporio, he promises.]
But keep us posted with any information you find. The best way through a pandemic is information and further preventative measures. Take care not to get sick yourself too, Harry.

Will be seeing you guys real soon once I get the much needed updates and knowledge. Here’s hoping that everything will be back to normal after the Snorunt heal from the sickness.

[Nodding, the boy gives a thumbs up in agreement.] And maybe after, you can drop in to see the new gym!
