The air is humid, and unusually warm for this early in spring. The plants around are just a bit unfamiliar: giant ferns, things that look like palm trees mixed oddly with towering conifers, shrubs with fan-shaped leaves, plants sprouting objects that look halfway between flowers and pine cones. Water splashes and trickles, probably from a stream somewhere nearby. Leaves rustle in the breeze, and there are distant animal noises - but none that sound like the Pokemon cries you'd expect to hear in the forests of today.

"Mmm... True. I want to be close to the river but there are the extra dangers. Hopefully, we can find a compromise." Jotaro sighs. "Good grief, this is annoying. Come on everyone, let's get this over with." With that, Jotaro will gesture for Toshihide and Harry to follow him.
“If I had to guess, possibly any plant life that is not safe for Pokémon and human consumption,” Harry wishes that he was making this part up as he and Toshihide follow Jotaro’s lead, but sadly he had to be mindful of what plants he could forage are considered safe to eat when he was stranded in Hisui.
“Other than that and dinosaurs, I honestly don’t know much else to look out for, but we should still keep a close watch for major signs of danger regardless.”
"MMm... We should rely on our own supplies unless we see some ancient Pokemon eating food, and even then we should be very careful." Thankfully, the two of them had been travelling before this. They both have rations.
“Yes of course. It’s better to be safe than not knowing what could happen next with the food we could try to eat,” Harry nods quietly as he continues to check out the forest vigilantly, taking Mad-Eye Moody’s mantra of constant vigilance to heart.
“We will have to be mindful of both the surroundings and what we could eat in this place while we’re in here as we also have the dinosaur Pokémon who live in here and they surely would want those food very much.”
Just make sure you don't take to heart getting locked up into a chest, Harry.
"Mmm... Toshihide will be able to take them. Many ancient Pokemon are rock type." He glances back at the Hariyama who grunts affirmatively. "The other two though... I'm not sure if their forms are smaller or if their levels too. We better avoid battling with them until we can find out."
Bearbarian gives a long sigh and she lies down on Toshihide's hands. She doesn't mind not fighting but it still sucks getting put on the bench.
“Pichu…” Molly is pretty disappointed to hear it as she is always willing to put up a good fair fight, but does she have any other options right now?
There is no way that she could defend her Trainer and friends properly with how small and low her current form is at the moment. Harry knows very well that getting into battles up against powerful and stronger prehistoric Pokémon with under-leveled Pokémon in the past is never a good idea.
“Yes. That is a fair assessment, Jotaro,” Harry speaks up as he looks around for any signs of danger, “With how small and low their levels and forms are at the moment, we can’t risk trying to battle the ancient Pokémon head on until we can discover the cause of our current situation.”
"Hari! Hariyama!" Toshihide's trying to cheer the girls up. Surely, this won't won't last very long, right?
At least Jotaro's guaranteed to have a strong Pokemon still with them. Jotaro had trained Toshihide to fight Pryce so both he and Harry could rely on him if things got dicey.
"Any ideas where we should go to figure out how we got here? Or how we get back? Did you explore very far?"
“I did check around the trees and logs earlier for any sign of how the arrivals started or any way for us to go back to our timeline, but so far I found nothing in there,” Harry reveals, “And I haven’t ventured too far out of safety.
“Unfortunately, it was mostly just trying to wait for the time machine that started the Hisui adventure to be fixed, or rather, Arceus to show up and send everyone back to the present time,” Harry sighs.
“I just had to get by doing errands for a local group and doing daily tasks at the base camp. One time I even volunteered to do some field research on the local population of Bronzor in there.”
"Good grief. More things outside of our control." Jotaro groans, tilting his hat as if that would hide his annoyance. "... If this place teaches you anything, it's 'go with the flow'."
"At least that sounds interesting. You end up learning anything while you were back there?"
“I agree, that as well ‘just be prepared for the unexpected to happen a lot’ too. I had to get used to all of this zaniness for a few months before eventually giving up on hoping that things wouldn’t get any weirder all the time,” Harry nods as he speaks.
“Yeah, I certainly did learned a lot about them while in Hisui. They seem to be quite a peculiar species: they look like floating metal mirrors with psychic powers to boot.”
“Same here in my case too. My life before this world was just as weird too, maybe a little too weird for a teenager to live through,” Harry chimes in.
“It is entirely possible. I mean, I don’t see a lot of people breeding Bronzor that often from what I have seen in the breeders scene. Perhaps if we can find one whether in here or in the present day, we could try to catch one for you and let it be friends with you.”
"Nothings too weird for teenagers. My life only started getting weird after I turned 17 and hasn't stopped since." Jotaro's voice is a little strained and the smirk on his face drops back to its usual stoicism. He sighs but continues the conversation like nothing's wrong.
"Fair enough. Sounds fun. And who knows, maybe it'll make for a good alarm clock."
"Stufful!" Bearbarian groans at that. Noooooo. No alarm bells. Let her sleep.
“Pichu?!?” Molly is more puzzled by the idea of a Bronzor acting as an alarm clock than anything else so far, she could feel her jaws drop in disbelief and unable to comprehend the idea right now, “Pichu…”
“Oh yes, that could be an interesting idea. To be honest, I honestly never thought much about having a Pokémon being an alternative to an alarm clock before. But I can see it working well for anybody having difficulties trying to wake up often.”
Bearbarian, used to Jotaro's idle musings, doesn't think anything strange of the idea of an alarm Bronzong. She just lies down and rests, dreaming of sweet treats as she always does. Toshihide chuckles quietly, shaking his head. Don't worry, Molly. You'll get used to this.
After some walking, the duo will come across a clearing. It's not exposed but at the same time there was a good view of the surrounding area, while still being relatively sheltered. Jotaro hums quietly.
Molly is liking this place so far as indicated with how she is hopping in joy and relief. As long as they can stay away from the sight of the dinosaur Pokémon, they can make a safe base camp here.
“Hm… Looks safe to me as well. I don’t see any menacing dinosaur like Pokémon anywhere in here so far.”
"Hopefully, it'll stay that way." Jotaro sighs. He kneels down and starts unpacking his bag with his usual camping supplies. Luckily, they all came with them when they were warped here. "I wish I brought my Aurorus with me. That's a fossil Pokemon, presumably from ancient times as well. I'm sure he would have been able to help us out here."
"... Don't know what my Dracovish would have been like if I brought him. Maybe it's for the best I don't have him right now."
“I take that they are also dinosaur Pokémon as well, just not as, erm, terrifying or scary as the others?” Harry asks, wondering if there are more less scary dinosaur Pokémon out in the wild as he begin to unpack his camping equipment too.
“Ah I see, I can understand: I think that it is for the best that Dracovish had stayed back in the present,” he politely nods while he brings out the tent stuff and starts building it.
"Mmm... I think Paradox Pokemon are more terrifying than dinosaur Pokemon. But yeah. Aurorus isn't scary at all. Like a brontosaurus with icy fins," Jotaro comments idly as he also builds.
Meanwhile, Toshihide puts Molly and Bearbarian down. He's gonna help their trainers. Stay out of trouble, girls.
Harry does his part in building the camp with his equipment while trying to keep an eye on both Molly and Bearbarian once in a while. Can’t let them wander off on their own while they’re currently not in their normal levels and forms at this time.
“An icy brontosaurus? Hm… I bet that it looks rather regal with those icy fins of theirs. Maybe one day I can try to find one someday and befriend it,” Harry muses on, “Oh right, I shouldn’t forget that most Paradox Pokémon can be scarier than the average dinosaur Pokémon would be.”
Bearbarian isn't one for trouble. The adamant Pokemon curls up for a nice nap, especially since Jotaro and Toshihide are happy to do the work for her.
"He is. Remind me to show him to you when we get back. I left him in my PC because I didn't want to bring him to fight Pryce but I can show you where I got him." Jotaro nods slowly. "I'm sure some are pretty terrifying... So we should still be careful regardless. Still..." Jotaro's eyes glitter. "This... is a unique research opportunity..."
Thankfully, Molly isn’t that crazy enough to wander off so carelessly to give anybody trouble. If wrangling after multiple Pokémon (baby or otherwise) taught her anything, carelessness is always a bad trait to have and she had to deal with multiple cases where someone in the group would just slip away mostly due to distractions and she had to chase after them relentlessly. So she stays put on a small tree stump, climbing onto it before sitting down patiently. She will be waiting on standby if Harry needs her help.
“Um, yeah. I still remember hearing about them during the Paldea trip and how they differ and resemble certain Pokémon in many ways at the same time. I can tell that the possibilities of whether they are meant to be ancestors or future evolutions of them fascinate plenty of people. As long as they don’t possess any danger to everyone of course.”
Molly really would get along with Jotaro's starter, Star Platinum. Despite his jolly personality, he's very much the caretaker of Jotaro's usual Pokemon team and helps JoJo wrangle baby Pokemon too.
"Yeah... I have a couple of the robot-looking ones. None of the ancient ones." Jotaro winces, thinking at his two robots. His Iron Treads is fine... but his Iron Valiant... "They do tend to be aggressive as all hell. I suppose that we'll see if it's because they are anxious about being displaced through time or just naturally hostile from this trip, huh?"
