[So one of the latest Team Rocket recruits is finally settling into things around here having done her best to lay low and learn about how this world works and now she's ready to throw a line out and see if anyone she knows is around.

But of course asking directly is lame so she'll make up an excuse to post a video and see if any of her stupid friends sees it.

The video itself features her Absol who appears to be having a starring contest with a mirror. Jinx Narrates. ]

Absol, The Disaster Pokemon.
It appears when it senses an impending natural disaster. As a result, it was mistaken as a doom bringer.

[Meanwhile her Absol is pressing his face into the mirror more and more trying to force the other Absol to look away. Inevitably the mirror falls over and would smash on the ground but you can see a slender hand catching it.]

Dooming himself maybe.

[She sets the mirror back and throws a chew shaped like an oversized ~~doughtnut~~ rice ball. He immediately attacks it. Meanwhile she turns the camera on herself setting it on the desk.]

Still if this place enjoys jokes he's a fitting Pokemon for me.

The name's Jinx and reading his information had me curious. How superstitious are you guys? Maybe other worlds have other things that are considered lucky or unlucky.

In my world things like breaking mirrors, black cats, spilling salt, the number 13? All considered unlucky.

Meanwhile four leaf clovers, horse shoes turned upwards, small coins found on the street or gross things like rabbits feet are considered good luck.

So what about you guys? Anyone out there chronically unlucky?

Honestly, arriving here is the luckiest thing to happen to me in awhile.

That's either really sad, or good news. I'm not sure yet.

I guess it's kind of a lateral amount of luck for me. Life was starting to pick up again but being here gives me some time to...figure stuff out.

Yeh, it's pretty relaxed around here. It's made a nice change of pace for me.

It's weird to think a world based around monster fights is relaxed.

That must mean your world was pretty non-stop? Dangerous?

I thought so too, but if you stick to the towns, it really is pretty quiet.

[A noncommittal noise to that question.]

Good to know. But quiet can get boring.

I've only been poking around a little in town itself, before I head out exploring. Sounds like traveling is the second most popular pass time around here next to monster fights.

Just not sure which direction I should head first.

Well, some people have mentioned these badge things you can get that only some cities have. So if that interests you, you could look into that.

But I suppose it depends on where you're starting from and where you wanna go. I've not really gone any further than the park though so someone else'll have to help you there.

Well I'm in Goldenrod now. Maybe i'll start slow by the park.

[Honestly it's amazing to Jinx no one has figured out how many Rocket recruits just appear in Goldenrod since it sounds like everyone else starts out elsewhere.]

Well, I've 'caught' two things. And this other hatched from an egg a guy gave me.

I would have thought people charge for stuff like that. How fast do these guys breed?

Well, it sounded like he hadn't really planned for it so he wanted to get rid of them quick. I was new so I guess I got a freebie.

Can't complain, Isla turned out pretty cute.

That is SO cute! I have to get one someday!

It's like...a cat and a fox at the same time.

I think she's more like a rabbit. But yeh, she's pretty cute.

[There's a jealous growl in the background but Diana ignores it to pet her baby bunny.]

Caine doesn't get along with anyone.

Well... Actually, Isla is the only one Caine doesn't seem to mind. He's just also really needy.

I've known some boys like that.

Maybe he'll mellow out with some battling. Pent up energy and stuff.

Oh, he thrives off it. If anything it makes him worse.

Isn't that why most dog owners get their animals fixed?

Is that a thing in this world? Should I find a vet?

I have no idea. Not sure Caine would ever forgive me though.

[Jinx laughs at that.]

I mean only the ones that annoy us.

[Jinx sizes up Noir for a minute who pants like a derp.]

Yeah I don't think it'll be a problem with mine. He's pretty mellow until he gets excited. Then he just runs into stuff. or knocks stuff over.

[Diana moves her camera down to get a look at the grumpy head of blue fur laid across her lap, his bright yellow eyes narrowed in distrust.]

This is Caine. Cute but an ass.

Aw, he is cute! I love those eyes!

Looks like he's pretty attached to you already. That's probably a good thing since this place seems to revolve around the little monsters.

[Growl.]

It's called a compliment Caine. Learn to take it.

Yeh, he's a Shinx. He can zap things. And bite. Man, can he bite.
